    That's odd ... cuz on my end it showed me stuck in 4th for the longest time and then jumped up to 2nd when I just checked. Watch out Lorena, I'm coming after you! :D

    I hate you Faye #, you make it another time! I was 1st for the last two days in you rise me in the last hour! Congratulations! #
    I don't like the new event. There are so many class 3 cities near the city event. And only for bux... Come NimbleBit you can make it better! And why don't put new planes? I think it's easy for the developers design a new plane for the game.

    Congrats! That's a hell of a lot of jobs. I finished in 15th and even that was a huge effort for my modest airline.

    Edit: tried to reply to Faye and failed.

    Foiled in the last hours of the Lobito event by a Great Blue Heron that was stalking our pond. We have beautiful butterfly Koi in there. We had gone out for lunch and came home to find the Heron standing in the shallow part of the pond. Somehow it had gotten past the fencing & netting to keep them out. So, spent time with hubby stringing other wires (aka fishing line) and new stakes.

    So far...Heron has been back twice without getting to the water. Hoping its going to give up and move to another fishing spot. It's not like there aren't other places. Less than a mile away is the huge lake at the community college. And a little bit further the bay!

    Congratulations Faye for the huge leap & taking 1st!

    New tactic - don't connect to servers and update your job count until near the end of an event. That way, your competitors won't know who they're competing against! :D

    Does anyone have spare some Concorde bodies or engines they'd be willing to trade? I have two controls and would like to get my hands on two bodies and two engines. I have a bunch of C-130 parts 16-B 10-C 14-E, Starship parts 5-B 9-C 4-E Sea Knight parts 15-B 1-C 11-E, and hot air balloon parts 3-B 3-C 3-E. I also have a complete cyclone-M and sequoia-M that I'm not using for trade too. Oh and one Huey that I'll probably never use as well. If you'd like to trade please let me know what you'd like in exchange for the Concorde part.

    Where some don't rise up to challenges...you did, and did it nicely at that Faye. Kudos!

    Ever since adopting the swarm method two things have happened to me. One I have grown bored with PP, and Two I have had to spend money to keep playing. I can't even bear the thought of bux sitting again, and so I am at an impasse. If I had the time to commit, I would love to challenge the big dogs. As it is this game is becoming a last resort after work, family, softball coaching, napping, and hell quite honestly anything else I can think of. If not for the great read twice a week, I'd have been gone weeks ago. It's been fun, but it's time to close the saloon for a bit. :(

    Lobito MOFOs

    The MOFO Statesman & Herald hates to pound its own chest. But this time we can't help it. We just have to point out how prescient we were earlier this week when we mentioned Faye "Do Not EVER Underestimate Me" Valentine's middle name.

    Faye has been keeping a low profile lately, but at the same time seems hell bent on retaining her status in the Concorde League Steady Performers' Hall of Fame. She did this in Tokyo, grabbing third place, and now she's done it again. Faye won with a runaway score of 5,689 jobs, clipping Lorena's score just in the last hour. That's some nifty footwork there, Faye old girl. Kudos and congratulations on behalf of all of us!

    Lorena grabbed second, and Ktc took third spot on the podium. Whereas first and second place were closely ought, Ktc was never really threatened in third.

    Neither was 'Zoo in 4th with 4,348 jobs, followed at a more than 500 jobs distance by North, who cleared had to get adjusted to Lobito's equatorial heat.

    Sixth through tenth saw some new names, which we always welcme wholeheartedly, of course. The more breadth in the MOFOs, the better the circulation, oops sorry, the entertainment, we of the M S & H always say.

    Tater and Gus took 6th and 7th; the new names were CAHockey in 8th, and Handy-Brandi in 10th. Sandwiched in between the two newbies was Roboboto, who we haven't seen in the points for a while. Welcome back, Robo! Tenth was good for 1,585 jobs, which makes this definitely a below-par event, which is not surprising for a Class 1 airport in the depths of equatorial Africa, far from most Class 3s. In fact, both 1st and 10th numbers were very comparable to Sydney two weeks ago, a Class 2 pax only as we recall.

    All of this means another shake up for the 6th Silver Yoke, now in its final race:

    1st: SlightlyNorth, 128 points (1st, 118);
    2nd: ktc24, 94 (2nd, 79);
    3rd: XGarriga, 61 (4th, 43);
    4th: Gus, 57 (3rd, 51);
    5th: Faye, 54 (6th, 29);
    6th: Tater, 46 (5th, 36);
    7th: Nalazoo, 35 (8th, 23);
    8th: Popehatz, 25 (7th, 25);
    9th: Vic, 22 (9th, 22);
    10th: Penguin, 20 (10th, 20).

    North is 24 points ahead, which means we can't crown a winner yet. But 10th place in Philly will clinch the victory, whatever happens behind him. Ktc did a plum job of defending second place. And Lorena aka XGarriga made Gus's worst fears come true, bumping him from third.

    4 Points now separate Gus from the podium. Will the Swarm Master come back? Or will Faye Runaway, who seems to be on a tear, run over him as well and relegate him to 5th? Philadelphia, the final race in this cliff-hanger, will tell all. Watch this space, dear citizens of TA1ville!

    Faye scores a remarkable 5th, up from 14th only two events ago. Tater drops another place to 6th; 'Zoo takes back the 7th place she mislaid in the previous event; Popehatz's single wins now places him in 8th; and Vic and Penguin keep 9th and 10th frozen in time.

    Penguin especially has to watch out; he shares his 20 points with Jmac, so he needs to be looking over his shoulder a lot during the next few days. And Nokitano, Spineth, and Green Paper, all capable of a sudden sprint, sit only a few points behind them. Keep your eyes peeled for the fnals in Tokyo, is all we can say!

    The 2nd Golden Sequoia may already have a Champion, but otherwise offers quite a bit of excitement as well:

    1st: Gus, 333 1/3 (1st, 327 1/3);
    2nd: North, 252 (3rd, 242);
    3rd: Penguin, 247 1/3 (2nd, 247 1/3);
    4th: Faye, 214 (5th, 189);
    5th: Nalazoo, 210 1/3 (4th, 198 1/3);
    6th: ktc, 168 (6th, 153);
    7th: Tater, 117 (8th, 109);
    8th: Snowbird, 115 (7th, 115);
    9th: Spineth, 105 (9th, 105);
    10th: Castle, 85 (10th, 85).

    As we speak, North is removing burn marks from second place, where the Penguin was sitting before. Fortunately there's some good news for the polar bird as well: even if he doesn't regain second, his third place will be secure. Faye is 33 points behind him, with a maximum of 25 points still to score.

    Faye took 4th from Nalazoo, partly due to a heron threatening to eat her kois, as the M S & H understands. Nice move, Faye, sending in that heron! Ah, the lengths the good citizens of TA1ville go to, in order to score in the MOFOs.

    Ktc guards 6th place like a dragon guarding its eggs; behind him Tater takes 8th from Snowbird. Behind them reigns stasis: Spineth and Castle stay nailed in place.

    Behind Castle nothing much is happening. Castle has announced that something called 'work' is more important than the MOFOs (traitor!), so 10th is up for grabs. But there seem to be no takers, so it looks like Castle's gamble pays off and he might stay in 10th for the end result. All will be clear in the next three days!

    Concorde League stands as follows:

    1st: Gus, 514 1/3 (1st, 508 1/3);
    2nd: Faye, 445 (2nd, 420);
    3rd: North, 348 (3rd, 338);
    4th: Ump, 288 (4th, 288);
    5th: Penguin, 277 1/3 (5th, 277 1/3);
    6th: Nokitano, 245 (7th, 245);
    7th: Vic, 242 (6th, 242);
    8th: Nalazoo, 239 1/3 (8th, 227 1/3);
    9th: Snowbird, 221 (9th, 221);
    10th: Castle, 184 (10th, 184).

    Pretty much staying put all across the range, the Concorde is. One thing worth mentioning, though: Nalazoo is now seriously threatening Vic's 7th place, having narrowed the gap to less than 3 points. Will she make the halfway mark in 7th? And will Ktc, now in 11th, 6 points behind Castle, make the Top Ten Of All Time? All will be revealed.

    See y'all on the other side of Philly, folks!

    Hi All,

    The MORONS prizes have been distributed insofar possible, as per above. Please let me know if you (think you) are entitled to a plane/part and didn't get one. (Specifically, Ktc - not sure if everything went according to plan when I sent you two parts.)

    CAHockey and Handy-Brandi - please connect to me, or let me know the name of a well known TA1 member who is connected to you, so I can send you your parts as well.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers,
    M.
