Here's a tip for increasing combos without having to layover: Load up all of your passengers and wait for the jobs to change. Example: 1. Birchcraft-M (2P/2C) is short one passenger and unable to meet the bonus requirement. 2. Load the Birchcraft with the first 3 passengers. 3. Wait for job change. 4. If lucky (or in a class 3 airport), the last passenger should appear with the latest job changes. 5. Add new passenger and depart! The longest I'll wait for job changes is 1 minute, unless there are other planes that are that have just landed. In which case, I would tend to those planes first and and hope that the job timer drops to 1 minute or less by the time I'm done tending said planes. Otherwise, I'll just pick the next most profitable route and move on. Note: Not sure how well this strategy will work in a Class 1 or Class 2 airport.
Strategies are good, but may be hard for newbies like me. Got a really bad start here, took me 2-3 days to get lvl 10, but I'm getting better.
Sorry if this question has already been asked...165 pages of posts is a lot to go through: Does traveling "wrap" around? Meaning, can I travel from LA or Hawaii to Australia, as per a normal flight; or, do I have to travel West--> East to get to Australia? Looking to buy Brisbane to help with the Event, yet I'm a Western region (PH/LV/SD) player, and my furthest East City is NY (really excited to have finally bought that last night!). Thanks!
Excellent! Thank you both! And my poor trapped travelers in Paris also thank you. I am off to shutdown Prague again!
Well I need advice and here's a list of my planes and airports Planes: 2 bearclaw-c's 1 bearclaw-p 1 griffen-c 1 navigator-c 1 kangaroo-p 1 wallaby-p And 1 Anan-p My airports are Brisbane Mount Isa Rockhampton Nuuk Iquluit Goose Bay Quebec Montreal Ottawa Detroit Thunder Bay Bismarck Saskatoon And Calgary
Soar, I suggest you close some of those canadian airports as they are a bit bunched up in the same area.
Ive been playing for 2 days and Im at Lvl. 10. I feel ashamed cause Im still class 1and some people are as far as Lvl. 20. Is there any faster or more strategic way of leveling up... Airports: Nuuk Goose Bay Quebec Detroit (hub) Cincinnatti St. Louis Orlando New Orleans Cancun Las Vegas San Fran. (Which ones to close? is going through my head.) Planes: Bearclaw-P Griffon-C Navigator-C Wallaby-P Airvan-P Mohawk-C Kangaroo-M (Scrap them?) Please help. I also have spare parts if anyone needs them. GC : KitFisto22. (Sorry for this noob post.)
Not sure if anyone has had this, didn't read the entire thread. I just had a "Mystery Part" appear at my Phoenix airport headed to Brisbane. The text for the cargo was Orange. I unfortunately couldn't fly it, none of my planes reach Brisbane from the states yet. Curious.
You can not wrap around. You can only travel east west. Best thing to do is to buy Brisbane and a surrounding airport and put a plane in the hangar and take it out in Aus.
Quick question : at what level do I get Mohawk & Birchcraft ? I am currently at level 6, and the best plane I can get is Airvan / Anan... Oh, and which is better between Airvan and Mohawk? Man...at low level, its so hard to build up a plane.... Does anyone have any extra parts for low-level planes such as Airvan / Mohawk ??
The Labrador - Greenland - Iceland - UK route is pretty much what they do in real life back in the early days of aviation, when aircraft lacks sufficient range to cross the N.Atlantic in one hop. Even today some aircraft still flies that route. How else can you ferry a newly built single engine Cessna from US to Europe?
I'm in a household with multiple devices-- I have the game on my iPod, and my girlfriend has it on her iPad. But when she runs Pocket Planes, it loads up my airline. I guess because we're using one apple ID? Could there be a way to distinguish between devices or have more than one airline?
I've been playing from within an hour of it being released and I'm almost level 13 so you've done quite well ha. I'd recommend closing black airports that you'd get most money back for, then buy more blue. I've gotten rid of all my class 1 airports and almost got rid of all my class 1 planes.
Forgot exactly what level it was, I think it is lvl 8-> Mohawk, lvl 10-> Birch, lvl 12 -> Equinox, lvl 14 -> Pearjet (this one is certain). The Kangaroo might be in there somewhere too if you haven't got it. I wish Nimblebit would include the level information in the Airpedia. Mohawk vs. Airvan: same class, same capacity, the Mohawk has better range, slightly faster, and slightly more expensive to buy and operate. If both are available to you and you need to buy new aircraft, get the Mohawk by all means. However if the Airvan is the only available option I would not hesitate to buy them. The advantage of the Mohawk over the Airvan is not so great that I would scrap any Airvans to replace them with Mohawks. I'm at lvl15 and still have 4 Airvans in my fleet of 12 aircraft, covering the short regional routes, although I also have 2 Mohawks (and planning on getting more when I can afford it).
How can you tell how many planes your airport can hold when you build a plane and have to base it somewhere? Sorry for the newb question, but just trying to spread out my small fleet.
Two things: You can see on the map which airports have layovers waiting. Next to the name it will say "2L" if there are two layovers. You can delete layovers. Had you gone back into Istanbul, there was a little red x on the layovers... Tap it and they're gone, with no penalty.
