Are you part sitting? I've found zero so far ... But then, I'm only just getting started and I'm not part sitting. Love the slower pace of a more remote event city. Very busy this week, so I'm not gonna stress over this event too much.
The MOFO races and reports by Merlion is what keeps me going with PP. I had two big meetings, one on Monday and the other on Thursday. And in between, I had lunch/dinner appts everyday, plus frantically grading projects for Thursday meeting (New York event ended Thu 2am for me). I had hardly any time to fly New York. The only good thing is that there's hardly any cleaning up afterwards. Current time is Fri 12:06am, and I've been busy from morning 9am to midnite (yes, I haven't looked once at PP) the whole of Thursday. I've finally had time to look at TA forum and read Merlion's MOFO report, which is a nice end to a long, long day. Each event I'll think, I'll sit it out. And I did sit out a lot of events. Until Merlion came along with MOFO and got me back into it. With the stack out paperwork and coursework, I won't be able to do much with with Sydney (is it Sydney now?) ... but I'm warned that ktc is chasing my tail at frightening speed. Would ktc like to take a vacation or two ? Err... PP vacation to be exact, not vacation to play full time PP
I've been hopping between 2nd and 3rd place this event. Y'all can continue to take a PP vacation or parts sit. This is a rarity I'll probably never see again lol.
Definitely slow paced ... Just discovered how long it takes to do Jakarta-Sydney round trip. Sea Knight 1hr 2m Mapple 44 min My Roo hasn't made it to Jakarta yet so don't know how long it will take. I suppose I could check Rusty Snowman's distance calculator (which is linked from one of the links in my sig). ^_^ Finally found a myster part!

Welcome n00b There you are : Mystery parts are orange shaped box with a question mark. Each one gives you a rare plane part when there's a full plane reward for a global event. You need to deliver it to the event city (Sydney here) To participate to a global event, you have to be connected to Game center, and join a crew (ours is TouchArcade1, but there are others). Isn't that weird that there are MP for a passenger event? First time we see that, don't we?
And to add to vicsark's reply, mystery parts are only available when the prize is a full plane. When you deliver the mystery part to the event city, you will get a pop-up indicating which random part you received. In this case, it will be a C-130 body, engine, or controls. A month ago for an event in San Francisco, a full C-130 was also a prize, but the event was passenger only (i.e. only the passenger jobs counted towards the event). No mystery cargo appeared. The interesting thing is that this is the first time mystery parts have appeared for a passenger-only event. As a result of this current event, there will be a flood of C-130 parts/planes available for trade.
Ah, that's it, nice one. So what's your strategy guys for this event? I guess, mine would be mainly P planes and some M planes for the Mystery parts? Aeros being the best (although I rediscpvered the Pearjet which is really nice) "job" means carrying a passenger or a cargo to its destination, thus getting the coin or Bux fee
I just opened up PP and it's taking a while because of getting new content. Are we getting an update?
yitz 2 questions:1 what city did you get those to drop from, and 2 how come your coins on the bottom left are so far away from the coin? What device are you on?
