Having just started flinging planes at Orlando this morning, there appears to be only 65 #TA1 members in this event. Nice going for the #2 team.

This event is getting a bit ridiculous with the amount of jobs needed for a friggin top 10. M you should have 2 separate top 10s one for people that work, and one for people who's job IS pocket  planes.

{wave hand} I belong to the group that work (i.e. have a regular job that is NOT flying planes).

We have a group of people whose regular jobs IS flying planes/helicopters (not PP), and they fling planes in PP for relaxation :)

I'm suffering from PP burnout. There is no doubt that the swarm is most effective method for massive job counts. You have the same strategy for every event. Grab a few class 3 cities close to the event and fly. No layovers.. It's simple.

But good grief.. Moving the swarm across the world feels like a jobs. It takes 15-20 minutes of nothing but clicking to move it. It's particularly frustrating when your game is in one of those moods where it wants to freeze and crash a lot. Which mine recently decided it wanted to do. I flung a few planes Monday night and did 475 jobs or so in about an hour and a half.

PP kind of feels like a job at this point. I either need to set up a few cyclones and have permanent cities or just take some time off. Perhaps I could have a blimp fleet.. Hmm.

Anyway. That's the reason you haven't seen me on the leader boards. Maybe I'll muster up some energy for the next event. Not sure. But not flying since last Friday sure has been nice!

Anyone out there have some decent strategies that don't require a lot of plane sitting?

    Faye? Merlion?

I'm also one of those workers, flinging planes for bux collecting is far less stressing than doing events. I'm saving up to upgrade my fleet from 37 to 50 or 55 slots. Won't be long now, see you soon.

Wanted to mention that I gave this a try and it is working great in masking the bug. Ignorance is bliss. :)

65 is not a bad turnout. Someone mentioned only 45 participated in a fairly recent event, forget which one, maybe it was one of the remote locations.

Yes, suffering from burnout and boredom over here. I felt that way with the Adelaide event where I definitely didn't make the most out of advertising. I'd advertise, send my planes off, and then not check back again until after th advertising expired.

I don't know if it is an iPhone thing but the freezing/lags are driving me nuts!! I have to slow down to wait for stuff to register after tapping. Moving too quickly means accidentally doing load-all/unload-all or over scrolling past my target. My game also seems to quit more frequently these days.

It is for this reason I hate routes with quick turnaround time, such as Los Angeles to San Diego or NY to Boston ... Cuz the frequent freezing up each time a plane lands drives me nuts.

So I try to balance things out with some long distance flights, send them off and forget about them for a few hours. I have 13 airports right now, so it can take 3 to 4 refreshes to load a plane, sometimes more. I've noticed that my Bitz aren't too interested in going to Bangkok or Jakarta lately, so those planes take a while to fill. About 1/4 of my planes are grounded/idle and 1/4 are working events. The rest move event layovers/Bux or just push food randomly around the plate. I love using the slow c130 to move Bux/jobs. I also have a Concorde(even though it's not the most profitable plane) cuz it is fun to watch it go from LA to Seoul.

Having subsets of my fleet devoted to different tasks (long range, short range) helps me find something to do depending on whether I have a little time for a quick check-in or whether I have a good chunk of time to babysit planes.

Right now, North is leading Orlando with 8200 jobs, prolly more since my leader board is taking its time to update.

It's time for me to run some errands and get a little work done ... And I'll be home in time to take a final screenshot of my little corner of the Leaderboard.

Sorry for any typos, trying to type quickly on phone.

Holding on to 4th for now. Not sure if I can keep it for the next 35 min. I let the advertising run out. No sense in renewing it for 40 minutes of benefit.

I've worked pretty hard at keeping things going. 4500+ delivered is a new record for me. Never broke 3k before this.

THANK YOU for all the screenshots, I've updated the SUCK with jobs finished (and screenshot links for future reference).

MERLION will be pleased to discover that we have final job counts for spots #1 through #12. :D

And it's nice to see who was breathing down my neck this morning... ;)

How do you guys stay motivated for 40 in-game bux. I send planes flying everywhere and over the course of 3 hours can garner 40 bux. To me, the events in this game for bux really fails. The regular events are even worse, 1,000 flights to earn 15 bux? Really motivates me...

Also new to this game, so I'm going to summarize what my findings about this game and see if this is correct. This perspective is from someone with only class 2 planes. Only level 18, but I really don't see how the addition of class 3 planes will change my perspective.

    Airports
    - Class 1s rarely useful to keep open, only in the case of an event. The main reasoning is that they don't end up with many jobs over all. So flying to and from them will generally net a loss because I rarely fill a plane to only one destination.

    - Class 2s are slightly more useful, they add a decent amount of jobs. These cities are generally well scattered and can provide a waypoint between the larger cities for class 1 planes.

    - Class 3s I generally will keep open all the time, if nothing else, shuffling P/C on non full planes will net a profit in the end. Assuming I ever get around to delivering them.

    Planes
    - Generally M type planes are too much of a hassle, while it's true I end up with a larger selection of deliveries, they make the listing harder to traverse and actually looking for the right grouping for the 25% bonus is more difficult.

    - The larger range, higher speed, lower capacity planes tend to be the ones that I lean towards.

    - high speed is useful for me because sometimes I will check the game relatively frequently.

    - The larger range gives the plane a better selection of deliveries to fill up on when looking for the shortest full flight possible. It also makes it so I can keep fewer class 2 cities open that act as a bridge

    - The lower capacity planes are better in order to gain access to the 25% same location/filled capacity bonus.

    - In class 1 planes mohawks are generally the best for my play style.

    - In class 2 I'm currently undecided as they don't seem to add that much to my airlines. The higher capacity doesn't make it any easier to fill a plane, the further range also doesn't necessarily make me more profit over time.

This is based upon my understanding that each flight will add a 50 gold profit regardless of distance which means that shorter full flights will net profit faster than longer flights.
