Penguin, grats ! I went to bed knowing you would overtake me. Were you keeping one eye on PP towards the end of the game? I could have told you no need, because I won't have to time fly more planes.

PP ends at awkward times for me. Thu wee hours (3+ am???) and Sunday 2+pm. I have church in the morning and by the time I'm done (like today), it's already past 2pm. And in any case, even if I have time to sneak in a few planes before it ends, Nimblebit would simply ignore them.

LOL, I was wondering how long you took to set up that 143 million bux boost flight. I rmb long ago reading on TA forum that someone spent an hour clicking to set up a super long flight, and PP crashed before he could get the plane off.

So icon, where did you finish? I totally empathize with you. Last week, I don't know how many bux I spent on boosting the return trips of the planes but Nimblebit refused to acknowledge them.

Today, after church service, I took a peek at PP. There was still 2H to go with Penguin ahead of me. I toyed with the idea of skipping the prayer service to see if I can catch up with Penguin, then decided that I have already spent too much time on PP, and go for prayer service instead. :p

Now waiting for Merlion's MOFO report :) :) :) Highlight of the day.

Edit: Zoo's post about air traffic controller going nuts from Gus', Yitz' and Penguin's swarms set me off wondering how many planes the air traffic controller sees at Moscow airport. Should be tens of thousands take-offs per minute given so many people play PP ? I think Murmansk (and now Orlando) airport would be seeing planes circling above their heads with people and cargo parachuting down since the planes don't land there.

How can I gift a part to an user if he don't appear in my friends list. I already have it in GC friends.

Oh you bastard! :p But thanks! I will enjoy myself for a while now whit these. :)

@ Castlepage, thank you for the SK body and controls!

@ Fantasyicon, and did it work? I did not see your name on Fayes screenshot...

My results of the GE to Murmansk were: 27th place on my iPad and 31st place on my phone. Jobs count were between 200 and 300.

No prob on the SK body and control :)

How do you find time to fly on TWO devices? I could barely finish doing what I want to do within the 4 min job refresh cycle:
    - fly the class 1 planes
    - send the cloudliners + event planes to London/Paris and Tehran for refills. The cloudliners keeping hopping between London/Paris until they are full.
    - check the bux sitters for new bux jobs
    - dispatch same city bux jobs from London/Paris whenever I have accumulated enough bux jobs to fill a plane.

Then of course PP crashes every one or two job refresh to add to the fun.

I think PP shows you a max of friends. I think the highest level appears. This is very stupid. Can't remember who told me but he said to me that his list was bigger then what he saw and the lowest level was 28 and because I am less lower I am not in that list.

@ Castlepage, Well As you see I am lvl 20 and lvl 8, so thats pretty low. On my phone I started in Europe, so I only had to buy Murmansk and Moscow, that was easy, that was luck. I cant participate with my phone on the current GE in the USA, just cant afford it.
On my iPad I have 13 planes, 9 Aeroeagles (3xP/4xM/2xC), 3 SK and 1xP Mohawk. It is a pretty small fleet compared with yours.I dont do bux sitting, I'll take them along to my hub city. I had Ahmedabad (class 2) and Moscow as HUB. Full planes flew from everywhere directly to Moscow. Planes with buxjobs went to Ahmedabad, unload and flew back. I had also two planes dedicated to fly between Ahm and Mosc to load and unload Event jobs.

It is not actually a strategy I am just fooling around. :) I am working to lvl 28 for the cloudliners and work towards the strategy of Slightlynorth where Umbrasquall added his with it and on my phone ill work towards the loop start of (again) slightlynorth.

I hope that explains it a abit!

ps my job counts are way to low to even be a competitor for the top 20 :)
But 27 is my p.r. so far with less then a tenth of the jobs compared with the top 10/

    Vic said that.

I deleted a bunch of people to see my iphone (lvl 22) on my list. Then happened to see you. So i could send you the SK parts.

Well, in the old school bux sitting type, everybody has sequoias (or cyclones). But now the new trend is the swarm. I was about to send you couple of sequoias, then thought that you might be going for the swarm strategy in which case sequoias might be useless to you.

So ... would sequoias be useful to you?

Yeah I kept an eye on it to make sure north didn't catch me. With 4 hours to you flung 500 jobs or so since he got within a thousand. Events end at weird times for me too. This last event ended at 2 am Sunday morning. And the current event ends at 2 PM Wednesday afternoon.

Here's Unknown Android #5, awake and checking in. I was flinging planes during intermission at the ballet last night, trying to clear out all the layovers before the event ended. I probably had about a hundred deliveries that i couldn't get in before that last bit where they stop counting. Oh well!

Re that post with the airport codes: whilst I get most of them, why is Toronto's airport "YYZ"?

Thanks for posting that. I had guessed at 5 of them, and was curious about the rest but didn't want to take the time to look them up.

Nice work! How much time you put in to dig them out?

I'm really quite confused how the airports are named. Some are after the city, some are after the name of the airport (I assume it's the name of the airport), some seems to have no bearing on city/airport (e.g. CGK, YYZ).
SAN is San Diego, but there's also San Francisco, San Jose, San Antonio to name a few. (I know they have different airport codes). By that logic, one could say LOS is Los Angeles :p

What happens if they build a new airport (the building I mean) and shift to the new airport? For example, Hong Kong airport shifted from Kow Loon City to New Territory. The airport code was kept (HKG).
So if Chicago O'hare airport shift location (though it'll be very hard to replicate it), the new airport will have to retain the name to keep ORD code?

Well i've got to the point where I'm switching from a bux sitting fleet to a passable attempt at a swarm. It feels a bit sad and a lot scary getting rid of a fleet I know how to make work and change to a whole new style of play and a very different fleet of planes. It's going to be very weird for the first few days but hopefully I can get this to work and get somewhere in the rankings.

They probably would - there's an island in the Caribbean called Montserrat which was heavily destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1997. The island's airport was amongst the buildings destroyed. When they built a new airport on the island, it was given the old one's IATA code.

With the website I earlier posted it was just a couple of times copy pasting per airport code. It took me 5 till 10 minutes, no biggie :)

A swarm is a lot of the same planes right? i wish you luck with adapting a new play style and getting a spot in the rankings!

Entered you into the spreadsheet. Nalazoo too. :)

Did you ever find out where you finished?

I noticed you entered yourself as #9 on the spreadsheet with 2295 job (with a note claiming you had 2155 jobs at 30min and then bux boosted 140 jobs).
You can't possibly be #9 since that is where Drama-J finished.

The Top10 Screenshot (taken minutes before event ended) shows #7 slot unaccounted for.
    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2778561&postcount=15709

I wonder whether all your jobs registered at the last moment and you are the UNKNOWN #7 with 2616 jobs. You're either #7 or #11, since 1-6 and 8-10 are accounted for. :)

    #1 … 8436 jobs … ktc24
    #2 … 6812 jobs … SuperPenguin
    #3 … 6631 jobs … CastlePage
    #4 … 6024 jobs … SlightlyNorth
    #5 … 4052 jobs … spineth
    #6 … 2860 jobs … Faye
    #7 … 2616 jobs … <<< UNKNOWN >>>
    #8 … 2316 jobs … xgarriga
    #9 … 2268 jobs … drama-j
    #10 … 2160 jobs … jw3

WOW. I don't think I'd ever remember what all those airport codes meant ... even after Elmo took the time to look them up for us.
