I'll share my strategy as well. I have 44 plane slots and for this event (and the last one) I am using 3 Cloudliner-P and 3 Cloudliner-C to feed the nearest Class 3 city. The rest of my slots are Mapples and a few SeaKnights because I like how they sound taking off and landing. - do all these roos/mapples/seaknights just do global event jobs? or some of them do other things as well? If so what do they do?I rearrange my entire fleet for every event lately. So they are all 100% committed to the current global event. Basically, I got really tired of camping for BUX and felt I was missing out on the fun of the Cup races. - I know that you earn big bux too. Do you have bux sitting strategies? or the bux are picked up along the way ?I have shared my BUX strategy in the past. It is the Pocket Trains method. I think Faye has it linked in her profile. - do you operate a few airports strategies (e.g. some of us operate like 8-10 permanent class 3 airports only), or many airports?Again, I change it for every event. These last two were interesting though. For the AUS event, I was using Moscow as the feeder for the Cloudliners to take to Jakarta there they dropped off for the Class 1 fleet. For this event I have basically reversed that whole thing. Pretty funny, actually. - how do you keep your swarms fed for global event?See above! When they really get moving I can mostly keep some inventory in the hub city for Mapples as they show back up for more. - Do you operate out of a main hub (e.g. closest class 3 hub like Moscow in this case) or also from nearby class 2 hubs?Yep, I'm using only Moscow for this one. Like Penguin, I hate using Class 2 cities.
Congrats Yitz! Thanks Merlion's for the MOFO update. I always look forward to it and love how you write. I experience the same issues y'all mentioned (crashing, freezing, etc). I'm on iPhone 4 running IOS 5.something. It's part of the reason why I like long distance runs and hate routes with a fast turnaround time cuz I hate the freezing whenever something gets delivered or lands. Eeks!!! I haven't looked.. My laptop has no juice. My AC adapter broke ... The cord is severed at one end. I don't know is there is a way to lock cells, will take a look later.. I know Merlion has a note on the Bux calculator to not fudge up the non-yellow cells. Can't people read? What does "giant slayer" event mean?
I really appreciate all the strategy talk that everyone has shared. One thing I realized was that I had way too many airports open and was spreading myself too thin. I had 27 slots and had 52 airports open of all 3 levels. I spent 2 days this week moving laid over bux to destinations I wanted to close and so far have closed 10 airports. That was fun and I was amazed to earn 1500 bux in 1 day, which for me was huge. Going to consolidate and close a few more. My favorite cities are London and Paris so I will make them the center of the action. Does anyone have a spare blimp they could send to me? I only have 1 and would love to increase that number for long hauls. Also, not sure if this topic has been brought up before, but has anyone found their name on a bitizen? My maiden name is Berry, and so far I have seen my Grandma and my niece on flights. Also saw my 2 sons first names together in a bitizen named Justin Curtis. That cracked me up. I have failed to come across myself yet, when I do, I hope I'm flying to a tropical destination. (Laura Berry). One more thing...check out this pic I found online. LOL
I've noticed that too!! I've seen a few names that I have in my contacts on my phone as names of bitizens. Names that aren't the most common of names. Seemed a bit weird.

Thought I'd go back in time and read a few posts from the earlier days of PP before I really started being active in the forum. Started on page 500. Nothing really that interesting there, entered 750. Again, not much there. Lets try page 1000. Now we have interesting material here. Gun control. Here is my take on a topic that was over 500 pages back. Gun laws do nothing but keep guns out of honest LAW OBIDING citizens hand. I'm all for enhanced background checks, limiting magazine sizes, and as far as I'm concerned there really isn't a practical use of an AR15 for a civilian. Yet, I own one. But I digress. Anyway, everything worth protecting in this country is protected by an ARMED guard.. Banks.. Courthouses.. The f'n president is protected by armed security. The only way to stop an idiot with a gun is a smart person with a gun. A "no firearms" sign T the entrance of a school just tells a crazed lunatic that there is no one in here that can stop him. I think every school needs an armed guard. Teachers carrying guns is a terrible idea. Again, I do think its too easy to buy a gun in this country and some stricter laws would help that. Background checks for guns purchased at "gun shows" is a good start. If an idiot with a gun breaks into my house he will have a gun pointed right back at him and If a bank is protecred by armwd guards to me a School deserves at least that. People who want to get a gun to do something crazy are gonna get one no matter what the law says. That's my take on it. Sorry had to chime in on that. G'day.
With the exception of my girlfriend*, I've had all of my friends on there (although I did cheat for one of them - I had to change "Katy" [not in the game] for "Katie" [which is]). I've never spotted a "Langley" in the game, though, so I don't know if I'll see a Becky/Rebecca Langley. * - Having said this, there was a Bitizen with the same first initial and surname, so it *could* have been her (especially as they're both redheads).
Hi folks, I wanted to share with you an interesting observation I just made. First off, I haven't posted in quite a while! I'm now running with 41 slots and a fleet of mostly mapples ( going to try the swarm method done by many here) I started out this event with just moscow and the event city. I noticed however that jobs per refresh were often only enough to load up 2 - 3 full planes. Both cities are fully upgraded, with advertising enabled in the event city. I decided to open both london and paris, and feed some jobs in from there as well. Mind you, I opened these 2 airports with about 3 minutes left til job refresh, and zero jobs for event city in moscow. Heres the shocker, after opening london and paris, but BEFORE job refresh, i had gained new jobs in moscow towards the event city! This makes me wonder if theres a threshold of airports you need to have opened in order to generate the most jobs towards a particular city. Below that threshold, you wont generate as many as you could, and above it youd generate less due to airport saturation. Anyone else ever notice something like this? Or am I pointing out something you all already know?!
Every time you open a city the job list refreshes in every city. It's a lot cheaper to buy a cheap city and then sell it than pay 8 bux to refresh the list.. Surprised you didn't know this? I thought everyone did.
How Many BUX?!? LOL...how many BUX does it take to get a Mapple from Murmansk to Moscow??? Wonder just how many times this Mapple is going to circle the Earth before it lands? Maybe this is a sneak peek at the interstellar travel game
Go to sleep penguin and ktc24 .... North has woken up and is fast chasing us. Thank you Penguin and North for sharing your strategies. Now I understand why I don't have a chance against you ... just don't have that much firepower trained at the global event city. I am from the pre-MOFO days so my strategy is more suited for bux sitting. Whereas the new swarm strategy is more targeted at MOFO where your focus is to to do the jobs. And it works because you use the same fleet for all events while I have to keep swapping planes in and out (class 2, class 3, P-planes, C-planes etc.) which is not cheap bux-wise. Another question: how do you battle the boredom? I fly the class 1 planes, send my cloudliners to London/Paris for loading, check on my bux sitters. In short, very busy and challenging to do within 4 mins. Yet I'm already tired from repeating the same steps. How do you cope with repeating the steps of loading and flying mapples/seaknights/roos with not much task variation? Still it's a commendable effort, as Gus said, you have to fly the planes. LOL Zoo, how long did you take to set up that flight? 143,165,576 bux !! Well, one thing is certain, you cannot bux boost this plane and just have to wait for it to land. How many minutes/days does it say on your list of planes screen? I run a London/Paris central strategy Cute pic ! I wonder what's the little plastic circles.

Just to clear up a possible misunderstanding: having a Class 2/3 fleet plus 10 Mapples and 40 Blimps is strategy. Going to an all-Mapple fleet (done) or an all-SK fleet (next one up) is just fun. In the end it doesn't bring many coins or bux, and I always end up going back to blimpin' around. Merlionine Airlines was built for comfort not for speed, as Vince Vaughn would say. With 100 airports (Murmansk was #100) it's impossible to get enough volume for one airport to make a dent. So in order to compete in the MOFOs I would have to shut down 90 airports with hundreds of high-bux layover jobs. That'll be a big decision Cheers, M.
@thefantasyicon I am keeping PP active on my phone now but unlike last time I still did not receive the last SK engine, is it possible to to send one again or should I contact MOBAGE/PP for this? @Everyone else I have 3 SK engines. I can trade them for a SK body and one for a SK controls. Or you guys have some controls and bodies left and wants to donate them to me Or I can give them to you so you can build a SK.
