    Thanks, folks, for the comments on my screen shot of the spy docs mixed into event docs. Vic's explanation makes sense.

    I can't get onto the spreadsheet right now, but I'm your mystery 6th. Here's the last screenshot i got, but i had more jobs i was hoping would get counted.

    Despite starting out with a really dismal mystery parts ratio, 4 out of a thousand, i ended with a near perfect 1 in 100 ratio. I delivered around 4800 jobs, and got 51 parts. The screenshot doesn't show the SK I built, of course. But boy did my distribution ratio suck! Only 7 bodies!

    Thanks! And no LOL. My arm is tired for all the plane flinging.

    Ok you're going to laugh.. I had a dream last night that I decided to play this event after all, and I got all excited because both cargo and people were blue. You know you've played too much PP when... :)

    I've updated your finish to show 6374 jobs.

    I have a top 10 screenshot but am having trouble posting it from my ipad and am too lazy to go to the computer. But I've updated the spreadsheet with FINISH job counts for Yitzc77 and Spinith. Still missing whoever was in 9th and 10th. Dropped those numbers in as unknowns as well.

    Thanks vic :)

    You did amazing! I quit searching for mystery parts on the last day because I did some quick math and realized if I gave it everything I had, I could just barely reach 10k. Had to go for it.. :)

    Thanks Gus and Lynsie!!

    You finished with 4857 jobs. I've updated the spreadsheet for you.
    I've seen the mixed local outgoing event and global event cargo before as well. Mostly in Honolulu where there always seems to be a Dive Trip going on :)

    Nope, but as I played since the beginning, I had a good fleet and did mystery parts sitting for a lot of full plane events. I still got a lot of Blimp/Huey parts, even if I gave or traded a lot already.
    Also I traded aggressively for SK parts early in the game, when I used them exclusively for class 1 (no Mapples yet).
    And there has been at least 3 full plane events with SK I guess. One of which I did massive Mp sitting, collecting almost 100 parts. And a lot on this one too. I should check for my compulsive behavior about MP :D

    @Snowbird - Congratulations & welcome to the 10k Club :D

    @Vic - There's a MP anonymous starting up....watch for one in your neighborhood.

    I didn't focus on MPs, just picked them up as they came along. Ended up with 12 bodies, 12 controls and 10 engines. I had a few before starting the event...I always forget to check what I had to begin with. LOL

    @Merlion - Congratulations on your recent airline acquisition & great write up! Your writing talents are greatly appreciated. :D

    I managed to get 13 bodies, 11 controls and 12 engines from that event. I thought that wasn't too shabby until I saw other peoples totals. I'm happy it turned out to be as good a spread of parts as it is because at one point I had 5-6 extra engines. Sitting out this event, I need one last bux sitting push, I was going to do it over the weekend but it was sunny so went to enjoy the weather. Also a cargo only event doesn't work with my planned event fleet.

    Just a gentle reminder to folks using the Bux Calculator ...
    . . . please only edit the YELLOW cells in the spreadsheet and DON'T touch any of the other cells
    (I had to fix the formulas in cells C3 and C4 yesterday :mad:)

    @Liz
    Thanks for tidying up the links in the spreadsheet. I was editing the spreadsheet from my iPhone this morning (while still in bed :eek:) so I just pasted it in.

    That looks really cool! Thanks!

    LOL, I hadn't thought of that. Guess you're more obsessed than me. ;)

    I didn't focus on MPs either, just picked up whatever showed up.
    I came away with 5 bodies, 7 controls and 5 engines out of 2376 jobs delivered ... about 1 MP per 140 jobs.

    Discovered it takes nearly 3 hours to move Sea Knights from Chicago/NY to Adelaide/Melbourne. :D

    Attention Toucharcade1 Flight Crew....

    Please be advised that while the cakes you are carrying, may be suspicious, it is our duty to ensure they arrive at the Adelaide Women's Correctional Facility is the same condition as we loaded them. We have had to enlist the help of a well-known baker, Faye, to...shall we say...tidy up the cakes before final delivery.

    For those of you piloting our love able Sea Knights, please no excessive banking to scare any fare-paying, Adelaide-heading passengers. We know you enjoy giving your guests thrills. We advise you thrill them with a fabulous view of the coastline. Additionally, such maneuvers have caused cakes to shift. We see this as a half-hearted attempt to cause a cake to be damaged such that you can get you fingers on these tasty morsels.

    Additionally, we've been advised that the overwhelming smell of goodness can be intoxicating and cause pilots to drool incessantly. To overcome this, cupcakes will now be served on all Kringle Kruisers making the round-trip from Jakarta to Adelaide.

    Flex those Flinger fingers and take off! Happy Flying!

    So far there are about 45 people in TA1 playing this event. Not very popular, is it? :)

    I'm thinking about it :D
    Tbh it would be pretty easy to adapt my setup from Melbourne event as I had P/C/M aeros in the air. Replace the P with KK and let's roll.
    not sure I'll have time for it though, I'll sleep on it :)

    This event is pretty relaxing. I've spent the day casually flinging, yet Im in 3rd..

    Kind of expected people to really put those new Sea Knights to use. Guess not..

    MOFOs Down Under, Part I

    "One Snowbird does not a Winter make," Merlion's Grandmother used to say. And she was right, as always. In Melbourne Winter will soon be approaching, and the Snowbird is flying high.

    How high? Yea high. Yesterday Snowbird got admitted to that rarefied group of people who are both event winners and SuperHeroes, by virtue of beating the 10k jobs limit in a Class 2 event. And it wasn't easy. Sleepless hours, litres of coffee, iron wrists and titanium thumbs got her the coveted victory. Even North couldn't get closer than 2,000 jobs or so. Big hand to Snowbird for perseverance, courage, and sheer drive - a worthy member of the TA1 clan!

    Slightly South of Snowbird SlightlyNorth came in a solid second, with Castle on his heels. North has been a regular on the podium lately, for Castle it's his second appearance, after a third place in Cancun. Congrats to both!

    Behind them the Usual Suspects are lined up. 'Zoo and Yitz finished 4th and 5th, not far behind. 1,500 jobs further down, Spineth and Penguin take 6th and 7th. A bit of a disappointing performance for Penguin, who may have been distracted by doubts about the liveliness of TA1ville lately. Chin up, Penguin! It may have been quiet in town, but the place is as alive as ever! Your fans are still there, and they have great expectations of their hero!

    Vic, ktc24 and Thefantasyicon make up the rest of the points scoring Top Ten. Special congrats for the Icon, it's been a while! Pevek it was, another 10th place.

    So where does this leave the 5th Silver Yoke with two races to go? Let's not beat around the bush, as the Ozzies say.

    1st: Penguin, 104 1/3 (1st, 98 1/3);
    2nd: North, 94 (3rd, 76);
    3rd: Gus, 90 1/3 (2nd, 90 1/3);
    4th: Nalazoo, 73 1/3 (4th, 61 1/3);
    5th: Snowbird, 72 (6th, 47);
    6th: Spineth, 63 (5th, 55);
    7th: Yitz, 47 (8th, 37);
    8th: Faye, 41 (7th, 41);
    9th: ktc24, 34 (9th, 32);
    10th: Lynsie, 27 (10th, 27).

    Penguin the King Slayer still in the lead, but lo and behold, a Big Chill is about to envelop him, for the North is coming. 10 Points and a bit separate the Northmaster from the Superpenguin. Is the polar bird going to grab the cup from his arch nemesis the Gusster, who's now dropped to 3rd? Or is SlightlyNorth going to slight them both? Two races to go, a maximum of 50 points to gain, so anything can happen on the podium in a week's time.

    Even Nalazoo, not-so-firmly in 4th, can still make a run for the podium, 15 points South of North. Not-so-firmly, because a meagre point-and-a-bit behind her sits the Heroine of the Day, the Snowbird of the South, the Flower of TA1ville, our one and only Leaping Liz. How exhausted is she? Will she be able to use her Melbourne-bound resources and apply them to Adelaide with equal effect? The next few days will tell.

    Spineth drops a place to 6th, Yitz wins one to 7th. And behind them sits Faye. Eighth, Faye. Eighth! Sic transit gloria mundi, as we semi-intellectuals say at a time like this. Don't let it happen again.

    Behind Faye ktc and Lynsie complete the Top Ten. Ten points behind Lynsie sits Castle in 11th, after his splendid result today. Watch out, Lynsie. It looks suspiciously like Castle has evil plans to kick somebody out of the Top Ten. Don't say you weren't warned!

    Behind Castle, a trio consisting of Ump, Vic, and sdo62 all have 10 points and a theoretical chance to make it back into the Top Ten before Cup's end as well.

    Which brings us to the 2nd Golden Sequoia, with 10 races to go:

    1st: Gus, 276 1/3 (1st, 276 1/3);
    2nd: Penguin, 199 1/3 (2nd, 193 1/3);
    3rd: Nalazoo, 173 1/3 (3rd, 161 1/3);
    4th: Faye, 151 (4th, 151);
    5th: Snowbird, 100 (7th, 75);
    6th: North, 94 (6th, 76);
    7th: Lynsie, 80 (5th, 80);
    8th: Tater, 71 (8th, 71);
    9th: Spineth, 69 (9th, 61);
    10th: ktc24, 49 (11th, 47).

    The Top Three, the prospective podium, is unchanged. Penguin gains 6 points on Gus but still has some work to do with 77 points in between. 'Zoo gains another 6 on Penguin, and is now 26 points behind. Watch your back, Penguin!

    Faye, by virtue of her previous 71 points lead over 5th place, still holds on to 4th. But look what happens: Snowbird just took more than a third off that distance. Faye still has 10 races to regain her composure, but she better start working on it. Or else. The MOFOs are a cruel place.

    Snowbird climbs to 5th, with North in her wake. Both are leapfrogging poor Lynsie, who as a result loses two places. Tater and Spineth stay in 8th and 9th; and ktc24 is doing precisely what Jmac was warned for: kicking Jmacjmac (so good they named him twice, as the song goes) out of the Top Ten.

    Not all is lost for Jmacjmac (who's lucky he hails from Chicago and not New York; or it would be "Hello I'm Jmac, Jmac, from New York, New York" and everyone would think he'd say everything twice). He now sits one (1) point behind ktc24 and can take revenge anytime. But the same goes for Yitz behind him, also 1 point's distance. And only three more points behind, at 43, sits Castle who's perfectly capable to score another 15 or higher. This ain't over yet, folks!

    Closing off with the Concorde League of all time:

    1st: Gus, 457 1/3 (1st, 457 1/3);
    2nd: Faye, 382 (2nd, 382);
    3rd: Ump, 288 (3rd, 288);
    4th: Penguin, 229 1/3 (5th, 223 1/3);
    5th: Nokitano, 226 (4th, 226);
    6th: Vic, 220 (6th, 216);
    7th: Snowbird, 206 (8th, 181);
    8th: Nalazoo, 202 1/3 (7th, 190 1/3);
    9th: North, 190 (9th, 172);
    10th: Castle, 142 (10th, 127).

    Top Three stays as it is. But right behind them Penguin finally gains a place, occupying 4th. During the last 13 races he's been scoring a very steady average of 15 points. Ump's average over the same period has been exactly 1 point. Going at that rate Penguin will need 5 more events to take a place on the prospective podium. Watch this space, boyz and girlz!

    Nokitano drops to 5th, the Sarkster stays in 6th. But behind him Snowbird is looming large. 14 Points can be abridged in one event, easily. Couple of hops like that and soon it will be "Alas, poor Vic, we knew him. A fellow of infinite jest." Don't let that happen, Sheriff!

    Nalazoo is dropping one place but is going steadily upwards in the points so we don't worry too much about her. Same for North, who's still in 9th, but for how long, we all wonder.

    And finally, Castle is doing well in 10th. 20 Points now separate him from Copper, and counting. Coastcat still 5 points behind Copper, and the next one up is PocketDaddy, another 22 (!) points behind.

    Up-and-comers are Spineth in 19th, with 75 points; and Yitz in 25th, with 47. The best is yet to come, as we journalists say when we want to keep the readership going :)

    Stay focused on Down Under, folks! Adelaide is on its way!

    Cheers,
    M.

    As it's cargo only I'm waiting for a P/C event before rolling them out of the hanger. Just getting them cleaned out, painted up in there new colours and giving them quick test flights to make sure they have been put together properly, although like any IKEA cupboard I have bits left over which is worrying. Also getting the event fleet flying together to get them used to each other, my combination of SK's and hot air balloons (to make up for the passenger imbalance of the SK's) will be world beating i'm sure :D

    Thank you Merlion, for the MOFO reports. I for one impatiently wait for the report after each global event whether I fly or not. I don't know how eager the F1 fans are but I love our own MOFO races ... twice a week !!! :D :) So while we PP pilots can take our own leave, Merlion CANNOT, at least not on Sundays and Thursdays or we will be beating down his door demanding the latest MOFO reports. Merlion deserves a special prize for his faithfulfulness in the MOFO races ... I don't know who else know how to compute these rankings and standings :) Err ... Merlion, is it too much work to put the MOFO results in our trusty TA1 spreadsheets?

    In any case, a big thank you to you. :)

    Feeling very lop-sided now due to the C-only Adelaide event. There's one big reason why the cakes arrive lop-sided ... no passengers to balance out the seaknights, mapples etc. Apparently, Nimblebit feels that cakes retain their shape, texture and tastes better when they are completely out in the open on the kringle kruisers. As for why they are suspicious, there are two theories -
    Theory 1 - since the cakes are out in the open for all and sundry to see, there's no telling what kind of birds, insects, bugs (and even Santa) that might be "incorporated" into the cake during the flight. Watch out ... those black squishies may not be raisins and the brown crunchies are not necessarily nuts.
    Theory 2 - If the cakes from arrive at their destination retain their outward shape perfectly on kringle kruisers, they might not be cakes in the first place (i.e. highly suspicious).

    Corollary - At first sight, one wonders why the fastest class 1 plane is a sleigh (a.k.a. kringle kruiser). Then I remember that Santa has the job of delivering presents to all the children ALL around the world on Christmas eve night. That effectively makes his sleigh the fastest vehicle on earth. Incidentally, that makes Santa the fastest and stealthiest house-breaker.

    No worries.....any job done properly has extra parts.....I usually have something left over after a maintenance event! I sure hope these aren't Sea Knight rotor mast bolts though......
