Trade parts? Anyone wana give me some Concorde or C-130 parts? I only have engine parts for Concorde and none for C-130 need help please!
AARRGGHH was hoping to hit 1000 jobs on an event for only the second time, I would have been really impressed if I had done it this time as I was only running 3 Aeroeagles where as last time I had 4-6 Kangaroos and 2-4 Aeroeagles flying jobs. The final score board showed me as doing 946 jobs but I knew this stopped refreshing with about 40mins left. Just looked at the airport stats and this was the outcome. Now that is really annoying Ah well back to bux sitting, i'm nearly at my intermediate target to get 10 more slots which will give me a more competative fleet.
It depends on how many planes you have but what I did with 12-14 planes was to concentrate on building up cash first until I had approx 200-300K as i'd seen everyone mention you lose cash when collecting bux. Once I got that cash I started to switch to bux collecting. I found I lost a little bit but as long as you get the 25% bonuses I found I didn't actually lose too much in fact I usually made a bit of cash. Now using a modified Flysher strategy I am making 500-800 bux a day and approx 40K cash too. It was nice to have that buffer though at the start so I could open airports as and when I needed and I wasn't as bothered when I had a plane full of bux making a complete loss.
Hello again I played this game every single day until January. My interest was a bit lost but I regulary checked the game to see which prize you were able to win. Today I looked again and I saw you could win a C-130!! For all those past months it was some kind of mythical airplane and finally we could have it in our fleet. Sadly, though, I saw we only had about 7 hours until the event ended. So it was impossible for me to get those 50 jobs. My question now to everybody on this forum: is there anybody here who has a spare C-130? Thank you! PS: were there other 'mythical' airplanes released in the last couple of months?
The problem is my fleet is very inconsistent - 27 planes, ranging from a balloon to cyclone-m(one and only). Coupling that with me being puzzled with all that bux sitting and doing a bit of both bux and coins I can't really keep track of any progress. I have a 1.4 mln safety net that I may use on airports, but I'd rather close some if that would mean more bux in my bux-sitting airports
Yep, that was probably me. I'm bummed since I was in 9th with a few hours to go, but I'm at work and couldn't keep playing for a strong finish. Haven't gotten the official popup notice on my game confirming my final position though. Oh well. Maybe I'll try again when I have a larger fleet and more time.
What happens if I did my 50 jobs and close the city? Do I still get the prize? Just curious as I will be traveling and have no service. So since I am without the inter webs I have a new bux strategy I am going to try. Happy flying.
Well, no one said you shouldn't built up a buffer before you do that or keep some coin planes around, you just asked what bux collecting is about Of course you can't do that a lower levels as you lack the coins to compensate for the coin losses and can't buy (and upgrade) lots of class 3 airports. If you really make about 1m a day now that's a pretty good sum in my opinion, save up a few millions, buy more slots and airports to get a nice little bux sitting setup to get you startet. And don't forget that it's still a game, if you decide you don't want to do it or want to (/need to) make a break and fly for coins again you can always send your bux sitters around the world for coins or events and start collecting again later
Yeah, thanks for advice, I will see how it goes. Who knows, maybe I will dump PP again. Or maybe I will like bux sitting. I do earn 1 mln a day, but I play(played, now trying to figure out bux) quite a lot and keep everybody in the air all the time
I'm pretty sure it was you, I saw you in 9th/10th just before the end. Too bad @Gus: you keep your jobs even if you close down the event airport before the end (99% sure if someone else can confirm)
Yes - before the just-finished C130 gig in San Fran, we had an event where the prize was a Starship. We've also events in New York, Paris and London for the long-awaited Concorde parts. @Vic - You do. I closed SF on Monday after doing 61 jobs and I've just got my prize.

Nope, top prize was only a C-130 part and bux and the event was a passenger only so everyone has only got the C-130 they got as a prize. As you say its a very rare plane so I doubt anyone is going to give theres up
Well, most people do bux sitting plus something else, otherwise it'd be quite boring I think (exceptions are if you'r going to a high number to get to the plane slot amount you'r desperatet for. set a new record etc.) When I had about 20 slots I got 10 sitters + 10 planes for coins/events or delivering the bux because I didn't do the "1 spot bux sitter meeting" strategy from flysher back then but had pairs of airports to layover bux jobs and deliver them with coins for the 25% bonus. I didn't even increase the sitter number much at 30 slots, so I got plenty of feeders and shuttles for events, so there's always something to do other than waiting for bux jobs Starships aren't really special anymore, no...last starship event had mystery parts, so active players got plenty of them...I got 3 built and parts for 10 more I doubt anyone gives away his C-130 since there were no mystery parts, so most people only got 1...there might be a few people with more since there was an event for parts some time ago, if they traded they might have 2 or 3 now (I got 2 )
I'm having a relax after the last event, it got a bit hectic towards the end as I tried to get 1000 jobs. Have used some of my hard earned bux from bux sitting to build a few special planes, a blimp, a starship and my shiny new C-130 just to see them fly before I put them back in the hanger. Is the next event P + C? Will join in tomorrow morning when I wake up
Wana share? U have any spare C-130 parts or Concorde parts? I only hav the engine part for the Concorde and controls for the C-130. Could use the help!
