Well since they read these boards and switched the last event on me when I accurately picked South Africa...maybe they will "show" me and my conspiracy theory by going against my prediction! Ha!
I hate to be a pessemist but I'm going to agree with icon on this. I don't think pocket planes is going to receive new content sadly I think it's more of an indirect attempt to get iOS players to swap to nimble quest. Don't get me wrong, I'd love nothing more than to see added content to PP.....
@Bido - did you get the planes parts you needed...Birchcraft? If not, let me know what you need and I'll send them on over. My GC name: Nalazoo.
No, they don't. First because it's passenger only and also because first prize (for the #1 Flight Crew) is a C-130 Part. mystery parts only appear when the first prize is a full plane.
Pfft, I'm just pushing hard for cup points! Getting TA1 to 2nd place is just gravy at this point! (mmmmm, gravy)
LOL...if all it takes is gravy to bribe you... LOL No...how about snow! Penguins like snow. It's snowing here...I can share! Ok...I'm going to have to break out my P-only planes and get serious to help us get 2nd place. Gravy & snow...what more can a Penguin want
Oh man, I'm slipping down from 9th to 10th to 11th to 12th. Can't seem to hang with the heavy hitters.
Interim SFO MOFOs Some spectacular stuff going on in the MOFOs for San Francisco, people! NimbleBit's quirky prize policy combined with some players taking a bit of a break is causing havoc in the rankings. And the main reason is NotSoSlightlyNorth. If the event would end now, we would still have Gus, Penguin and Faye in the top spots for the 5th Silver Yoke, with the former two firmly in the lead (87 1/3 and 64 1/3). But North takes a clear fourth with 39 points in total, six points ahead of 'Zoo and only nine behind Faye! Spineth, Lynsie, Snowbird and ktc form a close group that comes next, in the 20-26 points bandwidth. Ump makes up the Top Ten Tail with 15 points. In the Sequoia Cup and the Concorde League not much changes for the first 9 places. But even here North makes an impact, taking 10th spot in both, edging out Robo in the Sequoia and Castle in the Concorde. The Northster has arrived! Will he be here to stay? Watch this space. Cheers, M.
Ok this isn't a conspiracy...just a question. Has anyone noticed that the game plays better if you play it at the same time everyday. It seems like if i stick to a few regular set times it is a whole lot easier to collect bux than if I randomly jump around. Is it possible that this could be built into the game...or is it just all in my imagination?
Sounds like a conspiracy to me I've noticed for me that it's doesn't make too much difference when I play but more about the length of time I play. If I can play for at least a couple of refreshes then more bux jobs appear in the refreshes after that. If I am doing a quick check in between jobs at work where I normally only get to check all the planes not in flight so only one refresh, two at most then it seems very few appear. One thing i'm noticing at the moment is less big bux jobs and a lot more 2-4 bux jobs making bux collection a bit of a pain. It's going to take longer than I had hoped to get the bux for a bigger fleet and more planes if it stays like this.
This is exactly what I've noticed as well. The longer I play the larger and more frequent the bux jobs become.
Their is a workaround for your problem...2 actually. The first would be to eliminate all the cities in the middle and only grab jobs to either side...Vic suggested that I think. I didn't care for that idea because i would have to close like 18! The other way is to pay attention to the coins as you scroll. I'm working on a chart now that will show min/max for each dollar equivalent. So for example for you if you only want higher than 5 bux jobs, you don't want to scroll any lower than 972 coins. Anything lower would fall into the 4 bux category. Using this you can set a level that you don't want to collect below, and quickly get through all your planes. This chart will be extremely helpful IMO, for the bux sitters that already have tons of slots as they can quickly get through the fleet. If anyone knows how to put this into the google doc pm me, and I'll give you the numbers I have now, but...it is not fully complete only like 95 percent.
Noticed you talking about bux jobs, but can't understand why do you take them if they are mostly at a loss? Also, if anybody is willing to gift me something for Blimp(starting to build it) I would really appreciate that, and can give some tetra/cloud liner/seq parts for exchange. Gc: tohaklim
Tahnks Nalazoo, i already received a mohawk part from Merlion, i only needed one of the planes for the even, i am working on my 50 jobs now, i will save your help for something bigger ALWAYS go for bux, they may seem that they are at loss but 1 bux equals 500 coins. With an increasing return (the more you exchange in one go the more the value of the bux increases) so they are definetly worth more than coins. You should check the resources page in any of the other members signatures (Nalazoo, faye and some others)
Another bux exchange Just reached 70,000 bux without any bux sitting. Not sure if this is a record. So with the famous NimbleBit Limit (2^31 coins) in mind, exchanged 65,000 bux. Then waited for the cloud sync to kick so that I could proudly view my airline value, somewhere at the top. And guess what? Nothing happened! So I took a look at my stats. And guess what: my airline now has a negative value! Wtf? Thanks but no thanks, NimbleBit... Incidentally, those 65,000 bux will buy me 10 more slots. That's 6500 bux per slot! Cheers, M. EDIT: Well, waddayaknow - it updated the leaderboards after all! And not only that, but it actually registered a higher value than the one achieved with the exchange (see 4th screenshot, added as part of edit). NimbleBit moves in mysterious ways. (Also note the hackers with their ridiculous numbers in the right hand column.) Anyway, I'm happy now
