Can I have the M-version, please? (I think we're already on each other's friend list - if not, my forum username is also my GC username.)

I agree it can be disheartening, especially during the last few events. I still work on the events, partly out of laziness, cuz it's so much easier to scroll the job list and zero in on the BLUE jobs. :D Slow and steady is my method, it works when I can check in a few times during a day and I get a bulk of it done while watching TV (and if I'm not distracted by Mafia Wars). Also works great when the husband drives, cuz then I can fling planes in the car. :D Heh, that's one good side effect of visiting the in-laws. ;)

I'm using more class 1 planes for the Belfast event. I'm flying 9 SeaKnights and 2 Mapples. I try to keep the SKs in the air, the Mapples sometimes sit idle ... but I can deliver ~300 jobs per hour if I put my mind to it.

Hmmm.... maybe I should try to catch up with Gus ... it's definitely doable if somebody keeps his hands tied behind his back until the event is over. :D ;)

At least against the guys you mentioned first it would be fair competion and to me some of the fun is trying to beat the old guard legitimately. As I said before I was really happy when I made top ten at Washington with a fleet of 6 Roo's and 2-4 Aeroeagles, but shortly after the other people you mentioned arrived and took away the fun as they did there insane job totals.

One up side though is that I now have a more organised fleet as I bux sit to build up my fleet to try and properly compete again. More people now seem to be bux sitting and building big fleets so I think we will soon see a good clean fight for the top with new people making the grade and getting those MOFO points.

    @Oamoam:
TA doesn't like cheats to be posted on the forums. So please edit your post detailing the "how to" nuke. Valid for those who quoted him also.
Good you came clean, it makes sense with the dubious elements that were pointed on your performance.
    Not cool though.
So I guess it should have been "you have to send half the damn planes at least"!

Of course, his standings should be discarded in our friendly TA1/MOFO competition imho.
But may I remind our more angry fellows, that we can't "ban" anyone from flying for TouchArcade1.
Obivously, if you wanna cheat, please do it on your own team!

But cheaters gonna cheat no matter what, you shouldn't care that much, it's a game (and mostly a solo game).

I did not cheat. I did as I said with sisters. I started using "steath mode" as soon as Oam explained how. I benchmarked myself, accessing Internet every 2000. I over shot it the first time and made it 3000.

However, the truth is there is no way for me to prove this ..well maybe one way I am not sure because I don't totally understand Oam's hack, but from what I did, the city would show the number of jobs and can't be hacked . Even if I could prove I am not using oam's hack, you will just say I am bux hacking or whatever new cheat pops up.

Whatever. No point stay'in where I am not wanted. I guess I will go somewhere else.

I think you may the victim of timing blitz. I'm not saying you cheat. I'm just saying you popped up at the same time as the rest of these guys that are doing thousands of jobs at a time.. And it seems a bit suspicious.

You just show up all of a sudden and are leading the most competitive crew in the world by thousands of jobs.

Only one photo can be uploaded?
Here I'd provide some evidence for investigation. As I said, I'm clear before the game in Man city.
    Now please vote.

Wow, scandal in the forums! In the Punta Arena event, i played pp in the evenings, on my lunch break, and on the weekend, spending way more time on my phone than i think i should. It was fun to see how high i could place with a devoted effort, but i don't know that i could ever get up to 5000 again. at least, not very often. I was looking at the leader board, amazed that people could play that hard to get so high. It's fun to compete with such a competitive team, but I don't have the freedom to play that often and place that high regularly.

I personally don't get offended at people bux boosting, burning through their hard earned bux for TA1 glory. That's still a lot of playing effort and dedication. Even if they are purchasing bux, that's cool with me, they're supporting the makers of the game. Exploiting glitches for glory, now that's a bummer. It gets the forum dwellers angry and then all sorts of people get accused of malfeasance.

You admit you cheat and then provide evidence you don't?

    So you just cheat sometimes..?

Vic I'm surprised at the nonchalant attitude. I respect what you have done here with being one of the foremost authorities on pocket planes (as well as castle, Faye, Merlion, and a few others) So it is quite disheartening for you to say oh well no big deal. While you are correct that their is no way to ban them, it would be nice if they just left. Oam you admitted to this hack, but what about the bux hack? You spent 65k on one event, so hopefully you will come clean and admit that one too. I'm not for anyone who cheats and even have questioned how someone can give away a full seq for everyone that completes over 100 jobs. Now bido you may have been here before me, but you admitted earlier using a jail broken phone...so? Merlion I hope you at least say and do the right thing with the ranks, as i look forward to them. I (like Linsie) gave up on competing until my fleet got bigger because i didn't see the point. Now that I know I'll be back.

    Dear my boys,

I didn't use bombs before Man City Game. Neither did I spend 65,000 BUX. You two can see from the screenshots how many BUX I have.

Have you two ever thought of why I disclosed the tricks?
To pretend to be honest? To accuse Blitz? I mean to make it clear which ways are cheating, which ways are not.
As Vic said, you still have to send the damned planes.
So I regard "Atomic Bomb" strategy as the real cheating way. Maybe Unlimited BUX is at the edge. But other ways are definitely not.

Obviously you two misunderstood me. Investigate a newcomer's win, confirm him as a cheater and kick him out, call others to kill him.. I think what you do is nothing except that.

i think what BIDO wants to give away is his business, it's how he wants to spend his bux. for the record, i use a jailbroken ipod touch, and it's very easy to cheat to amass a huge amount of bux, but i don't. i don't like the way you're generalizing and labeling jailbroken idevices as cheats. the only reasons i jailbroke my device was so that i could change my theme and stuff more than 12 apps into a folder.

just let it go already. the events are in the past, and like what vic said, the MOFO is just a friendly competition. since oam has come clean, why don't we forgive him and move on?

Ok you only kind of cheated partly, but not really sort of?

Under the "Atomic Bomb" mode, you just need to watch your score flies... The theory is quite simple. Switch yourself to "Stealth Mode", accumulate 2-3,000 jobs (after continuously playing for 6-7 hours), and then the atomic bomb is stored. Before opening wifi and uploading your score to the net, sync your device (iphone, imac or ipad) with computer. Make sure the record has been saved. Then you can open wifi and release the bomb. After half an hour you will see your results has risen by 3,000. Sync your device again with the saved record and release the bomb again. It may bomb you up by another 3,000 within half an hour. Not necessary to send the damned planes at all. I realized this occasionally when I was copying some rare parts. This strategywasused 3 times during my game in the southmost town of south America. Sorry I think I should return the gold medal to GUS I just want to test whether it works and feel addicted. Actually in Man city I have already attempted to do this but failed. (As I've mentioned I mistook the time and failed to sync the last 4,000 jobs.) And of course, the inventor knows the way to destroy. The most effective way for dismantling an atomic bomb in a black point city is to check the city's information. For example, I only completed 5,000 jobs in PUNTA ARENAS. No matter how many bombs I used, the number of cargos sent in city's information never lies. So we can examine the winner is a bomb carrier or not in this way. While I haven't tested bombs in a blue/red point game.

To conclude, I love bombs, they brought me glory. But it's definitely not honest to keep bombing. An

I didn't generalize all jail broken phones as cheaters...but if you use one to cheat then you are a cheater. You are right it is "just a game" and the mofo is a friendly competition, until people come in and cheat and muck it up for the honest players that work hard to compete. I don't expect everyone to understand, as your point of view is one that I've disagreed with for years...you don't give everyone on all the teams a trophy, only the best. But, you at least want to be on the same level playing field. When you aren't it leaves a bad taste in your mouth
, and then backs out of actually cheating

I don't see how unlimited bux is borderline? It's a clear advantage that you manipulate the system to get that gives you an enormous advantage. Unlimited amount of boosting. Unlimited planes slots.

You aren't bound by any of the limitations that the rest of us are..

Whoa! Just opened the TA forum page, having a quick look at last night's goings-on. *sound of Merlion being covered by skeletons falling out of cupboard*

I guess the MOFO rankings are coming of age. We just had our Lance Armstrong moment. This is really unfortunate. As many have said, it's just a game and it should be fun, nothing else. But like with every game, there's a group of honest and dedicated people who deserve a level playing field.

Bux boosting is part of the rules. It is allowed. Bux boosting with unlimited bux isn't. And neither is the use of Atomic Bombs and other WMD. The game has to be squeaky clean, or people who achieve their results with honesty and hard work are going to be discouraged. Can't have that.

I'm going to delete the results upon which doubts have been cast. Oamoam and ZJZKim will be permanently removed from the rankings. Oam, I respect your decision to come clean (at least you have that over Lance Armstrong) but no one will trust your results after this and this would invalidate the rankings. MKheidr's and Uburblitz's results will be removed from the Manchester, Punta Arenas, and Belfast events. Mo and Blitz are kindly invited to compete on future events but will be watched for signs of ibbing (Infinite Bux Boosting).

This decision was really difficult, because it walks a thin line between removing all possible doubts about unequal playing fields, and mistrusting any newcomer who produces stellar results. I'm asking everybody's understanding for that. I painfully realise that whatever I say or do at this point is going to make some people unhappy. So be it. Decision taken, we dealt with the issue, and I sincerely hope that we can continue now without casting aspersions at all and sundry.

MOFOs will be restated accordingly, from Q2 onwards (first three months are unaffected). It's a bit of work but expect a restatement from me some time today or tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    M.
