"You still have to send the damn planes." I will send a sequoia (m, p, or c) for anyone who passes 200 jobs for this event Just send a screeshot of the number of jobs, and gc id so i can add if you are not on my gifting list Lets kick TA out of the summit again
Merlion, I really enjoy reading your posts. In fact, I check on Mondays and Thursdays to see the MOFO results Thank you for all this hardwork. I've more or less stopped playing PP competitively. Real life is making its demands on me. And the new big-time players are making it very difficult to get into Top 10, let alone the podium I tried playing couple of events ago, and to stay near the top, I played almost non-stop for half a day. Still I was quickly overtaken. And I gave up ... non-stop tapping for the whole day is not fun Even with bux boosting, it's still a LOT of tapping, because like Vic said, "you still have to fly the damn planes". So hats off to those who literally grind their way to the top and stay at the top. And I suspect that there's a LOT of sheer tedious grinding involved, the hours of non-stop tapping. It's a testament of their dedication to the PP event (or probably the MOFO cups).
I had a look again, and now see what you mean. It says 27 behind your name. Thing is, I'm totally relying on the spreadsheet. When I call it SUCK I really mean it. (Can't believe I just wrote that ) So the process is just going down the lines, skipping the unknowns, and ranking the results plus registering the numbers of jobs. Shuffling through hundreds of posts, compiling info from screenshots and individual claims would cost oodles of time. The idea is to crowdsource the end result in the form of the TA1 spreadsheet. Hence the idea of the Single Unimpeachable Centre of Knowledge. Even now I don't know who to rank for places 11 through 26 (i.e. 10 through 25 for the MOFOs, since there's one unknown left). Since it does have an impact on the points this time, here's what we can do: can anyone with relevant screenshots for those places update the spreadsheet and I'll republish the results accordingly. Volunteers, please! Thanks & cheers, M.
Thanks for the compliment, Castle! It keeps a humble reporter going My suspicion is that the extreme tappers-and-grinders will get bored sooner or later. Which means they may dominate the Sequoia rankings for a while, but will inevitably move on at some point. So stay around, and you'l be in a position to win a future Golden Sequoia again! Plus, don't forget the Concorde League. Even as we speak Ump, Nokitano, and Vic are in places 4-6, despite not having produced any top results for a while. If any one of them gets the ole' afterburner working again, they can stay ahead for quite a while. A little math here: let's say there's a Dark Horse who will score 22 points on average for the next 12 events. That's consistently 1st or 2nd place. And let's say that person has 50 points right now. If, let's say Faye (who now has 334 points) keeps scoring 10 or 12 points in a race i.e. 4th or 5th place only, it'll take 25-30 events to overtake her. That's a lot of tapping-and-grinding! Just sayin'... Cheers, M.
These people who can do 3,000 jobs then quit an day they're done and then just do another 3,500 jobs in 6-7 hours bug me. It's obviously some sort of hack or massive bux boosting. If its boosting then I'm ok with it but if you've jaibroke a phone for unlimited bux you've ruined it for the rest of us... But I'm reminded of a phrase a wise man on this very forum once uttered.. "You still have to send the damn planes." Anyone wanna start a new crew and keep the name anonymous...?
QUOTE=Faye Valentine Just discovered you're not on my gifting list Send GC request to: Faye Valentine QOH Driving now ... Will send you something later. Faye -- Just re-applied for membership. I'm level 31 as of today
I was traveling and totally forgot to get a screenshot of my standings for Puenta Arenas...I think I ended up in 13th. Thank you Melion - I always enjoy reading your posts & look forward to,them. Da planes, da planes - send the damn planes...LOL. Having been someone who could "grind" and fling planes fast & furiously for Pevek, it's hard work! Yes, BUX boosting exists and on long trips like Pevek when our goal was to beat Toucharcade, BUX boosting was activated...though, not something I use on an ongoing basis. On my way from Denver to Salt Lake City, I was on a smaller plane (30 seats or so). Sat next to a pilot who was headed back home. Remember the conversation about turning off cell phone? Found it interesting that he never turned off his phone...he was playing a game (not PP)...he'd just hide the phone when the flight attendant walked by. He also shared with me video that was on his phone of plane landings in mountain airports....which he took from the cockpit. So, the pilots themselves don't seem to think its an issue,at least not on bigger planes.
This was the little plane I was on coming back from Salt Lake City to Denver. This had 2 seats on one side of the aisle and one seat on the other side. The other plane was similar size in length but with 2 seats on both sides.
Well, as a lot of suspicion is floating around the forum, of how do the new kids are doing this much jobs, i would like to share my strategy with you. For this event in i have 3 airports open only Belfast --- London --- Dhaka I have 25 roos flying from london to belfast, no layovers at london, just advertising and waiting i can send up to 7 planes per refresh Dhaka on the other hand is the bux supplier, i have three sequoia M's there bux sitting, they are filled with bux jobs to london and belfast (40 bux by plane). This setup can make 100 jobs to belfast in 20-30 min , and produce 40 bux (if you are lucky) which you can save or use to offset "boosting", but i don't like boosting when i use the bux i use it to refresh my job list in london to send more planes at one sitting, need 2-3 refreshes each time (16-24) Bux
Wow, that's really a minimalistic and dedicated setup Maybe I'll try that one day, but closing my 11 fully upgraded class 3's and sending a lot of planes to the hangar ... I think I like having 10 Bux sitters and some coin planes/feeders too much for that Btw, I don't think there really are "cheaters/hackers" with unlimited Bux in TA1, it would be even more work to send a plane, boost it and refresh jobs all the time to get to #1, my guess would be, if someone does that, then only once for "fun" to get #1. But then he'd maybe do it on TA so he "wins" over much more competitors, and only once because the game would be too boring for him then to justify that much work.
No no no.. If you're gonna win in a crew in this game you want to win in TA1. And Vic is right, why pay 8 bux to refresh a jobs list when you can just open Lulea or Hammerfest and go back to London and send the planes then close the small glass 1 you just opened. 1000 coins (plus half of them back) or 8 bux.. You choose.
That thing reminds me of the DV jets we get out here in Baghdad. Damned Generals thinking they deserve personal planes. Makes my job even more annoying.
In the advanced post option, check the metal pin in the bar (NEXT TO font and size) One Sequoia (M, P, C) for anyone who passes 100 jobs for this event (Belfast) Quote for others to see
