Ouch, Icon, that hurts! I see what you mean but there's little you can do about this. These are the rules of the game, and bux boosting is part of it. Besides, and I'm not entirely sure but I think people like Gus, Faye, Castle, Snowbird and Penguin show that you can still sit at the top without (over)doing it. Isn't it, guys?

It's a free society, and everybody can do as they please as long as it's within the rules. And bux boosting, like it or not, is.

    My 2c.

    Cheers,
    M.

Wtf! Who said anything about bux boosting?!. I'm saving for more planes, got around 1k bux only atm and have never spent even one bux for boosting planes.

:D Don't be too angry my friend. Maybe someone is just not willing to tell you his real strategy? Maybe there exists some magic way which is far beyond your imagination? I promise you my know-how is NOT simply donate bux or money.

Bux boosting as Merlion stated is part of the rules of the game. It is kinda of a cheap shot in my opinion, i however do revert to bux boosting. But i believe bux boosting is there to even the odds for people with much on their real life plate. For example when i am studying i can't pick up my iPod every 10 minutes to check on the planes. But i can boost on the bus so that it evens out on the whole day. And going crazy the last event with a boosting session (200 flights) myself, it is time consuming and tiresome, took me 60 minutes to get the planes up, and got a sore hand after it (Not joking). Lastly i would like to add that people come and go. People you don't like may stop playing next week. Hope i am not one of them :D

    Thanks Merlion, for your post.
And i could only imagine the Amount of data and spreadsheets you have on your computer marked TA1 :D

Though I am not for it bux boosting is part of the game. I don't like it, don't think it is right but it is built into the game. I actually bux boosted 15 or so planes and IT was too much like work and not enjoyable. So no worries about me bux boosting.

On another note I am not too sure that Oamoam is killing it with bux boosts. My strategy has changed drastically since he has shown up. I have learned how to stay afloat when people are flying down your neck. The thing that Oamoam does is turn off the wifi??? Or he works or is in a place without wifi or signal. That last jump he made on me brought him ~2000 ahead of me. I was more than capable of being able to beat that mark but had dinner plans. So I wasn't bux boosting and I know I could have hit that mark no problem if not for a needed rest of PP.

This concludes the PP detective investigation. Now everyone back to flying dammit! I have another hour or so before the Roos land.

Oh and if any of you have some mapple's I am taking donations :)

You may have done this before and mentioned it in another post but can you tell us anything about your strategy? Even just telling us what you are flying would be an interesting insight into how you are getting the big numbers. Are you doing it in a similar way to other players with Roo Swarms or loads of Mapples/Sea Knights or have you got something different in your armoury, a massive fleet of SuperGophers maybe :D

Well as it turned out the game frustrated me again. I had 5 mystery parts to deliver after the event finished which with the correct combination of parts would have given me a set of complete Huey's, however it decided that I didn't need anymore than 1 engine and gave me 3 extra bodies and a controls!!! Ah well, not to fussed and can wait till the next huey event to sort that out, I still have 12 of the things to play with :)

Am having a very relaxed event for this one as I know i'm going to be busy for most of it so not much point going all out, I'm using 8 of my Hueys to run jobs for this one flying from London and Paris just to use them.

Well, sometimes I'm turning off wifi deliberately (for switching to "stealth mode"). And I confess, without "stealth mode" I may have rare chance to beat GUS. But most time I'm living without wifi signal. In China cellularnet works and it costs a lot ($0.16 for 1Megabyte). Not wise to use it all the time.

    Can't you just buy some?

I have them on sale for the last month or so. I thought they stopped being rare. Maybe an android glitch? We can't see each other on the lists, at least we can buy Mapples.

SuperGophers?? Good idea. I may try them in this game.:D Of course I have a ROOs army. And I manage them well, name each plane, set scheduled airlines and even dress the pilots. Finally I teach my little guys "Never trust people or cargos in layovers".:D

Buying mapples is aviable on Android and Mac only.
It was aviable exclusively on Mac first (that's why they are called "Mapples" ;), with iOs users able to trade with Mac users to get them.
I guess Mobage/Nimblebit added it to Android so we can get them too.

Imho it would only be fair to make them aviable on iOs too since there seem to be very little Mac users active here supplying our iOs players with mapples :(

I still hope they'll fix the rank list someday, since it's already possible to be in the same crew and see all standings across all devices it can't be too hard to let us see the names too I guess....even if we can't befriend iOs users, just let us see all names then :(

I did what I could for the last event. Been super busy. I got a bunch of work dumped on me. I wont likely be able to do much for St. Pats event ethier, depends on how soon I finish.

    EDIT:
I see i am doing more talking less flying, so i am off to change that around

Here's my documentation of my fifth place finish.

The updating is an odd little thing. With 45 minutes to go, i hadn't flown in a bit, and i was at a solid 4958. I thought I'd see if i could round it up to 5000, so i flew exactly 42 more missions. My stats then updated to 4976, and i thought it was stuck there, but with 7 minutes remaining, it updated to 5022.

    @Merlion : I finished 27th, not 10th in PA ;)

About the Bux boosting and other exploits/cheats, my 2 cents on a polemic issue ;)

The thing is there are a lot of ways to take advantage of a game like PP that uses IAP, the device clock, iCloud/GC sync, a specific save. Most freemium games suffer from this. But I don't feel it's really a problem for PP.

I've not used cheats for PP because I don't see the point nor didn't feel like I ever needed it. But I know they exist (And I did find an unreported glitch early on that I could have exploited a lot).

The thing is, for PP's global events, I don't really care, because you still have to fill the damn planes and send them. And that's the hard time consuming part imho. That hard work you can't skip, just facilitate it.

So even if someone takes advantage of unlimited Bux through JB and may bux boost every plane/refresh jobs at will, he still has to fill/send his damn planes. And you could do the same just sending a lot of dough to NB buying IAP. The game allows it.

Some may mess with clocks settings, they still have to send the damn planes.

If you hack your save, you may have 20 Concordes, but you still have to send the damn planes.

An I don't know if it's possible to cumulate different players jobs on the same GC, but they still would have to send the damn planes, and you can't be sure, so whatever.

In the end, you play a game like PP only if you enjoy doing so. Endless Bux boosting of a Roo doesn't look like a lot of fun imho :D
    And being first on a MOFO Sequoia cup is surely a great honor but maybe not rewarding enough for very time consuming cheating :;

I don't even talk about the dumbasses who screw with their saves and post GC scores on the leaderboards of level 2.317.773.888 what's up with that lol
