    Guess you decided to buy some bux instead of sitting around waiting huh?

    Firstly i would like to thank anyone who made this possible, including the pilots for my 16 kangaroos, Fleet Codenamed "BLK". I would also want to give a respect for everyone who contended with me for this place a lot of you are my betters. I would like also to give a mention for Gus who did the all time record of 15K jobs, i was aiming for that but i now know it is quite the achievement. I would also like to thank the organization for honoring my work. And last To Hell with Toucharcade Crew. TA1 Rules XD

    Oamoam, you gave quite the run, i was surprised you didn't pull it off at the last minute but now i see problem. That makes you at the number 1 with close to 13K jobs so RESPECT.

    You should receive a GameCenter invitation soon if your GC is OamOam

    I would like to welcome my nemesis to the crew, he really did a great job in maintaining a tight race to the finish and the best man won.

    You should receive also an invitation from me.

    Yelto, i think you should have received a little gift from me if i linked your name to the proper GC ID.

    Lastly i would like to ask if there is a way to force a sync in the dying minutes of the game ?

    I know I haven't been doing the events lately, but man I only have half the names on the leader board! Change is good...

    I'm still flying 27 planes. Maybe that's why I'm having so much trouble breaking into the top 10!

    I finally took the dive and exchanged 20,000 bux. Just waiting for Game Center to sync my max airline value so I can buy some slots! :)

    My favorite class 1 planes are Sea Knights (which I balance with a Kangaroo-P for every 4 SK's.. I hate imbalance!). I want to thank Bluebear88 again for sending me one a couple weeks ago. I'm really hoping for an SK event in the near future.

    In the meantime, does anyone out there have extra SK parts that they would like to trade off? Unfortunately I have no Mac/Mapple access but I'd be happy to scour the marketplace for anything else. I realize SK's are not purchasable so I'm not sure how to amass an SK army but I'm going to try :-D

    Manchester MOFOs

    All right, boyz and girlz, here come the end results for Manchester, and the 4th Silver Yoke Cup. Drama and excitement ruled in the last minutes, we saw a magnificent end run, another 10K Superduperhero, and a worthy winner, with a veritable acceptance speech no less. This is headed in the right direction, people! If you ask me, Mo Kheidr AKA Bido's acceptance speech had more surprising elements than the Pope's. Seriously.

    But first, the official Manchester results:

    1st: Mo Kheidr AKA Bido, 10,124 jobs;
    2nd: Oam 'Daylight Savings Ate My Lunch' Oam, 9,039;
    3rd: Gus, 6,355;
    4th: Nalazoo, 5,645;
    5th: Faye, 4,878;
    6th: Timo, 3,874;
    7th: Castle, 3,642;
    8th: Penguin, 3,325;
    9th: Spineth, 3,094;
    10th: Snowbird, 2,996.

    First, congrats to Mo for winning the event, and becoming a Superduperhero on his debut. Chapeau, as Vic and the other Frogs are wont to say :)

    Second prize and the Blooper of the Week go to Oamoam, who miscalculated the end time of the event and lost both victory and a second Superduperhero result. Better next time, Oam, and don't forget to reset your watch!

    And congrats to Gus, the reigning Silver Yoke Champion, for making the podium again in 3rd.

    Further down the end rankings we see two new(ish) faces, at least as far as MOFOs are concerned: Timo makes his entry in 6th, and Spineth is back after a long absence, in 9th. Welcome!

    Special attention to the riveting duel in 7th and 8th. Castle won, due to Penguin's being temporarily distracted by bux sitting. These two are neck and neck, not only in Manchester but also in the all time Platinum Concorde League (see below).

    And finally, there was Blitzburg. Sorry Blitzer, but MOFO rules are strict. For your results to count your name should be in the SUCK (the TA1 spreadsheet AKA the Single Unimpeachable Centre of Knowledge) at the time of the event. But kudos to a worthy result. Get your name in there and let us revel in your future achievements!

    On to the final results for Month 4, the Silver Yoke:

    1st and Champion: Gus, 163 points;
    2nd: Faye, 99;
    3rd: Oamoam, 86 (incl. two 1sts);
    4th: Penguin, 86 (incl. one 1st place);
    5th: Nalazoo, 83;
    6th: Tater, 67;
    7th: Lynsie, 45;
    8th: Jmac, 44;
    9th: RoboBoto, 28;
    10th: Mo Kheidr, 25 (1st place in Manchester).

    Gus was already Champion as he couldn't be overtaken after the previous result. Congrats again! Faye managed to cement her second place, congrats to you too! And Oamoam kicks Penguin off the podium by the smallest margin: same number of points but one victory more. Congrats Oam, and too bad, Penguin, hope your bux sitting went well, hope you made your next number of slots and get them doggies rollin' next time around!

    Congrats to all others for making the rankings this time, and special applause for Mo Kheidr, whose spectacular Manchester finale got him 10th in the Silver Yoke, at the cost of Snowbird. She finished with the same number of points but alas, no first place.

    This concludes the 4th Silver Yoke, Punta Arenas will be the first race in the 5th Silver Yoke. From now on we will also report the standings for the 2nd Sequoia Cup, the quarterly league which now enters its second month.

    On to the Concorde League AKA the all-time standings (previous between brackets):

    1st: Gus, 344 points (1st, 329);
    2nd: Faye, 330 (2nd, 320);
    3rd: Ump, 277 (3rd, 277);
    4th: Nokitano, 223 (4th, 223);
    5th: Vic, 209 (5th, 209);
    6th: Snowbird, 131 (6th, 130);
    7th, Copper, 122 (7th, 122);
    8th: Castle, 118 (10th, 112);
    9th: Coastcat, 117 (8th, 117);
    10th: Penguin, 116 (9th, 112).

    Not much change to report here, except for the tussle in 8-10th. Penguin's temporary distraction with bux sitting (personally, I hate the term. Never done that) has given Castle the room he needed to speed past him. Coastcat has fallen victim in the process and lost a place. Both Castle and Penguin are still making their way up the rankings, and further ahead it's Ump, Vic, Snowbird and Copper who have to fear for their positions. We need to see some more life there, people, or we will see others climbing the ranks instead! I left out Nokitano in this little group, as he's still showing the ability to kick in 10 or 12 points every now and then. Gokitano!

    And who are the dark horses, down below? Oamoam, with 86 points, is in 14th and counting. Be warned, people, daylight savings isn't going to save you every time! Mo Kheidr has made his entry, and his 25 points have propelled him into 27th. We will hear more from him. ZJZKim, who sat this one out, shares 46th with Timo, both with 8 points and one 6th place. Spineth sits directly below, also with 8 points but only an 8th place as highest score.

    That's it for today, folks! Thanks all, keep movin' those beasties, and have fun in Punta Arenas!

    Cheers,
    M.

    Thank you again Merlion for all your hard work! Such a great read, and doing all this adds another fun element to PP for sure.

    TA1 is 4700 jobs behind TA. Can we catch them? :)

    Bido with 16 planes, how much did you spend bux boosting? I'm betting it is upwards of 60000 bux which one player (that shall remain nameless) spent.

    Ill tell you in 3 days if I notice a pattern like today. I literally got about 250 bux off of jobs to rio, sao, and lima in about 90 minutes...about 6 hours before the Manchester event ended. I was really torn between continuing to bux sit or bring every plane to south america. That is how sure i was. It happened right before the Mexico event too. I'm now betting it happens for all of them.

    Just a modest 7000 Bux :D but i went out and broke the bank for 40 slots but still i have to fill them up, but as Merlion really hyped me up, i think i should give this event my all also, but i am going to have midterms during next week, so i will propel like a cannon through the leader boards. XD

    Yay my first helicopter :) Thanks for that. Game being annoying so far and only giving me Huey bodies so i'm glad i'll have at least one complete one by the end of the event, thanks again.

    Quick question anyone, I am on 22 slots and have approx 5M coin and 3K bux, is it a false economy cashing in the bux now to get two maybe three more slots or should I just bite the bullet and stay bux sitting at least till I get to five figures of bux?
    I know that I only need 2M more coin to make the next two slots and my strategy does produce a fair few coins as well as bux so I could make that relatively quickly.

    Any thoughts appreciated thanks

    I would advise against any bux exchange less than 5,000 bux. The more you exchange the more each of them are worth. I just exchanged 25,000. To get from 25 slots to 40.

    I thought about making an all Helo fleet but the Huey's range is just crippling. It couldn't even make the jump from Melbourne to Christchurch a few events back.

    It depends on what you want. If you are content waiting on bux then you have a number of different approaches. Vic would advise you to make smaller cashes get the slots, as it will help you have more planes going and thus get you there quicker. I would say buy more slots AND more class 3 airports fully upgraded, because I am using this strategy andjust seeing the amount of bux multiply. I did 2 collections yesterday and saw 1711 bux. Penguin on the other hand purchased bux, and got to 40 overnight! I don't have the money or the desire to spend on something I can get free...but to each their own. Pick what works for you;)

    Yeah, I built my first Huey and was bummed that I can't use it to get to Puentas Arewhatever. I thought running some copters would be fun!

    I'm still collecting the parts. Because they're out there. So I'm grabbing them up.
