Hey guys someone a few pages back said, in order to get the reward for the event, you had to do atleast 5 deliveries to Brisbane. Are these the light-blue titled jobs and where can you check how many you've done so far? Thanks in advance !
I'm leaving it because I can't land any of my Class 2 planes anywhere except two airports in the way south. I don't want to keep more than 1 or 2 Class 1 planes (for events in the future) Edit: I started in Japan, so I'm not hurting for red dots. I've got Tokyo>Manila>Bangkok with a couple chaining blue dots. I'm rolling in jobs and money, so I don't want to bother with black dots outside of event locations.
I just got my third part, but haven't assembled yet. I'm experiencing the same thing. Leaderboard hasn't refreshed in a while now. I'm right there with you. I made it up to 25th last night, fell down due to sleep and work, now have clawed my way back up to 40th. I didn't get in on the Calgary event, but I'm pulling my weight for crew TA now.
Sorry to have to ask this, but this thread is unwieldy! Anybody have a link to a good beginner's guide OR a few good bits of advice for somebody just starting out? Thanks!!
I guess that makes sense. I'm nearly level 14 and only have 1 class 2 plane so it's not that important for me yet I guess. But Japan does seem like the place to be. I'm going to close a couple and open the other two class 2's in S Asia and hopefully find that last mystery part to build my warhawk
Unwieldy is right, haha. I've made it a point to read (or at least skim) every post. There are a lot of good tips but I understand if you don't wanta dredge through them. I have enough energy for one tip for now...utilize layovers. They are beneficial for efficiency and add a fun layer of strategic depth.
Also, one thing I forgot to mention about flying, you also "lose" money by flying cargo/people worth bux. So if you, say have a stop in Alice Srings and are making $288, then continue to Brisbane with a bux cargo, you'll only end up making ~$80 or so, plus that bux.
Please keep all parts requests to this thread here -> Pocket Planes - Flight Crew and Parts Requests - Join Flight Crew #TouchArcade Next one to request here gets a timeout! (not really, but I will start deleting posts)
11 plane spaces bought and where already paying over 100k for a another 1. See I'm glad I took over saving in tiny tower before buying a new floor so for pocket planes I'm going to have like 700k coins before I buy the next plane slot
I'm not sure what you mean. As in, flights with multiple legs...are desirable..? And do you do them manually, one leg at a time, so you can pick up other stuff? Or am I totally confused?
Persons or cargo will show up as blue. Ferry them to the event site. To see how many jobs you've completed for global event, go to "flight crew", then leaderboard and it will list "jobs by you". But mine hasn't updated for well over an hour.
Must admit i'm confused by the layovers - how do they work? I just seem to randomly (more rarely than receiving bucks it seems), to have a flight that has a layover. Is there a way to create more of them? How are they actually beneficial? Also - i'm lvl10, and just built my first class 2 aircraft. I'm in Europe, and only have 1 x class 2 and 1 x class 3 airport. I now have my class 2 aircraft in storage, as it can only travel between 2 airports! I actually can't even see when the plane will ever be useful compared to a plane that can travel between every airport!? Still - unbelievable game. I just love how you can play as little (check every few hours) or as much (literally watch planes and collect coins / bucks constantly) as you want. They really have nailed game development.
P, C or M? Does anyone have a clear preference for plane types? For whatever reason, I tend towards pure P and C, but now I'm wondering if all Ms would be the best strategy.
(here is explanation of layover, credit to sooz) Layover is when you drop a passenger or cargo off at a location other than their destination (just "unload" them.) They'll be marked with a little red "layover" marker. Each airport has a limited number of layover spots. The advantage is you can build up passengers/cargo with the same destination so that you can fill a plane for one location and get the 25% bonus. Hope that helps. More micromanaging, but adds to the fun imo.
I guess layovers can be utilize if your avation fleet is mid-large size (i.e. mid to late game). The main use of layovers is that you can gather a group of people (or cargo) in a point that will fly a long range to the same destination, especially when it comes to mid-late game, you need to maximise your profit, you need to full-loaded your plane with destination for bonus. That's layovers works!
