    You're right as always, Faye. Here goes:

    1 The monthly championship, or The Silver Yoke

    Each month has either 9 or 8 events. First, two months with 9 events, then one month with 8.
    We're now on month 4, with one event to go (the current one).

    The winner holds the Silver Yoke* and has the right to mention that in his signature during his Championship. Since Gus cannot be overtaken any more, we already have a winner this month, even before the month has ended. Gus will be the holder of the Silver Yoke for the next 5 weeks.

    2 The quarterly championship, or the Golden Sequoia Cup

    Each quarter consists of 3 months and hence 26 events (9+9+8). The winner will receive the Golden Sequoia*
    Although Gus is firmly in the lead, the fight for the 2nd Sequoia Cup is still completely open. We are 8 races in, with 18 more to go.

    Also note that during the first month of each quarter the Silver Yoke and Golden Sequoia rankings are exactly the same, which is why I haven't been publishing them separately for the past month. This will change after Manchester, of course.

    3 The Concorde League, sometimes called the All-Time League

    I'm still undecided about this one: we either make it truly all-time, or an annual Championship. But one year is a distant horizon in Pocket Planes land, so it's hard to tell the difference right now.

    If we do an Annual Championship, there obviously will be a prize: the Platinum Concorde* :)

    4 The 10K Hall of Fame

    This is, for now, a heroes' gallery of all known TA1-ers who broke the 10k jobs barrier in an event. We probably should make this an ongoing prize.

    5 The Rookie Prize

    We didn't do this yet, but I think we should have one. Open for suggestions as to how, when , what, and what for.

    I'll publish a complete Hall of Fame a little while later, with podium finishes for all past three Silver Yokes, the previous Golden Sequoia, and the 10K Heroes.

    Cheers,
    M.

    *) Still working on artwork for all three current prizes

    With iOS there is such a thing as iCloud, where you can back up your game and retrieve it to another device. Not sure what the Android equivalent is, though. But if it comes with any backup service, that would be the way to go.

    Cheers,

    I think Mobage backs up your game on their server, so it is tied to your online ID

    MOFO Hall of Fame

    As promised, here are the retrospective podia for the first three months of the MOFOs. Had the prizes been in existence then, these are the heroes they would've been awarded to!

    First Silver Yoke (Nov/Dec 2012):
    Champion & 1st Prize winner: Nokitano, 119 points;
    Runner-up: Faye, 72;
    2nd Runner-up: Vic, 69.

    Second Silver Yoke:
    Champion: Number1Ump, 124 points;
    Runner-up: Vic, 79;
    2nd Runner-up: SlightlyNorth, 69.

    Third Silver Yoke:
    Champion: Gus, 104 points;
    Runner-up: Faye, 96;
    2nd Runner-up: Ump, 76.

    1st Golden Sequoia, for the quarter ending Feb-2013:
    Champion: Number1Ump, 265 points;
    Runner-up: Faye, 231;
    2nd Runner-up: Nokitano, 201.

    Vic missed the Golden Sequoia podium by 1 point... But he shares the honour of having ascended the Silver Yoke podium twice, with Faye and Ump.

    10K Hall of Fame:
    These are the heroes that broke the 10k jobs barrier in a single event. It happened four times so far, with seven different top performers. The most exciting one was the Paris event, in which three heroes raced neck-and-neck, to clear the barrier and finish with only a few score jobs difference...

    To break the 10k barrier in a Class 3 event takes a true Hero; to do it in a Class 2 event takes a Superhero; and to do it in a Class 1, you have to be a member of the rarified breed of Superduperheroes. So far we recognise five of the former, and one each of the latter two:

    10K Heroes: (Class 3 events)
    Gus, 15,017 (London)
    SpudWreck, 10,870 (Paris)
    Nokitano, 10,854 (Paris)
    Vic, 10,837 (Paris)
    Jmac, 10,090 (London)

    10K Superhero: (Class 2 events)
    Cybernator a.k.a. Tiggs2000, 10,301 (Boston)

    10K Superduperhero: (Class 1 events)
    Oamoam, 10,220 (CancĂșn)

    It's interesting to see all the achievements clustering around the 10,000 and 15,000 marks. You can just see people sitting back and saying, pfew, that's it for now!

    Another interesting observation is that we see different heroes every time; no one has yet duplicated a heroic result, gaining two honourable mentions in the MOFO Hall of Fame. Who's going to be the first?

    To be continued...

    Cheers,
    M.

    You have some manual formatting to do with tabbing, but use the "CODE" tags to start off!

    Anyway, how do the points get awarded?

    Code:

    Thanks, 3wapp! Now how did you do that?

    As to the points, they are awarded the Formula One way:

    1st finisher gets 25 points;
    2nd: 18;
    3rd: 15;
    4th: 12;
    5th: 10;
    6th: 8;
    7th: 6;
    8th: 4;
    9th: 2;
    10th: 1.

    This is irrespective of the number of jobs you scored.

    Cheers,
    M.

    How MOFO points are awarded is mentioned in Merlion's 2/20/2013 post ... Which is linked in the MOFO section of the post linked in my signature. :)

    Slowly climbing up the Manchester Leaderboard, Top 10 almost within reach ... Alas, it is way past my bedtime and I will have plummeted quite a bit by the time I wake up ... Such is the life of a PP pilot. ;)

    Indeed they do, when you install PP on your new phone and log in with your Mobage-ID it will sync your game from where you left it (or last synced it).

    Well, I was an "unknown" Android player sneaking into the top ten yesterday, and made it up to 8th. But then I had to sleep, and I have that job thing, so I don't think I'll be back up in the top ten.

    I have been aggressively bux sitting, with London/Paris as my bux hub, and just exchanged 55k bux to bring myself up to 55 slots. With that, I think I'm done bux sitting. Now I have to figure out how I want to play, what will keep it fun.

    I had a bit of a giggle this morning, one of my passengers was wearing a Christmas hat, aaaah well it has been almost like a snowstorm here all day near Gatwick Airport, I have also managed to get sim city up and running after three days of trying, so it is ever so slowly beginning to look like my local town.

    I only have 3, 4, 6, 7, 10th showing in the top 10. Lots of positions with no names! I'll have to go through and add some more people later tonight when I have a chance to play again. By which time I'll probably be in 15th!

    It doesn't even tell you if somebody is already on your friends list when you invite him :(
    Is it even possible to see the GC names instead of the real names in the friends list?
