How are people doing mystery parts wise. What are you guys getting? I seem to be getting a lot of engines and controls so far but very few bodies
Flysher- I currently utilize a modification of your original strategy and I had to come up with something to fix the meetup in London/Paris because it was a pain in the butt when the layovers were maxed. I have my planes to the left of Europe fly to London (London for Left, get it?) and the planes in Asia fly to Paris. When they arrive they all unload all their passengers. I have never gotten close to approaching max layovers. Once everyone is unloaded the planes pick up the passengers from the hemisphere they just left and then they head to either London or Paris. Once they arrive at the other airport in Europe, they pick up the high paying bux jobs sitting there. Then fill the plane up with whatever is sitting there for that city and fly home. Total time to do the swap is about 3-4 minutes including the crossover of the English channel. If I can not fit all the bux jobs for an airport on a given plane then I just let them sit in London or Paris since they'll be picked up later.
We should make a new league for small leveled players based on each event so they can get planes, it could depend on how many slots you have, and how much you gave for the event, and the prizes should be distributed based on those info. Merlion what do you think ? And CONGRATUALTIONS to TA1
Why not! We almost all came from TouchArcade crew anyway If they got a competitive spirit, they'll have more fun here in TA1, chasing fully named leaderboards
I have a pair of quick questions as always First one, concerning mystery arts do I have to check the list of jobs or can I just check the airport and see the golden box The other one is concerning a new game, I would like to know of there is any other games like pocket planes real time based but maybe a farm or city or any other thing, I tried dragonvale but so simple to be played actually Thanks in advance
I really like this idea. I may give it a shot and see if I like it. Just out of curiosity, how many bux per meet are you averaging? Ive toyed with the idea of splitting flights between bux and coins to have more meets per day. Each meet would generate less bux, but doing more of them would mean about the same bux per day but the added bonus of coin generation as well.
I'm getting the same number of bux that you would get by just meeting in place, I'm only sending bux jobs from the airports to London/Paris along with whatever job for their respective London/Paris destination. The main difference is that I do not have to mess with the shuffle of jobs to avoid hitting the layover cap.
Checking the airport for golden boxes is a quick way to see if there are mystery parts, I think it works most of the time, especially if you have lots of airports open and not enough time to scroll thru the jobs list at every open airport. But to be safe, it's always better to scroll thru the jobs list Maybe hayday? It's farm-based
For me looking trough the airports without scrolling the jobs list isn't really working to see all the mystery parts, the airport screen seems to lag sometimes so I see boxes which aren't in the list anymore and vice versa...but maybe that's only an Android problem? @Flysher and MrMysterious, I changed to that strategy just yesterday so I can't comment on what it will yield (especially with more time to play ), but one thing I "modified" is that I always make more stops then necessary to Paris when gathering the bux sitters there. I don't really care about coins atm, so for example when Seul is going to paris it will do: Seoul - Shanghai - Cairo - Istanbul - London - Paris. It will take longer and be more expensive, but that way when it arrives at Paris all the jobs for 4 other cities are already delivered, minimizing layover slots. When I know I won't be able to play for a few hours (sleep/nap/work...) I even extend the routes, like LA might go to NY, SaoPaulo, Rio, Cairo, Istanbul,London,Paris
I am flying from NY, Chicago, and Mexico City. My planes fly back empty, however it seems that in the last couple hours all my planes going back to Chicago still have event people on board. I thought maybe they would diappear when the plane landed in Chicago. When they landed, the cargo and people were still on board. Anyone else having a problem like this? Edit: Just checked the profit on sending a plane back with the passengers and cargo that were on it from the last trip and it's -500 and something. Even though the plane is showing full with a 25% bonus the passengers and cargo aren't really on it. Also tried unloading the passengers and cargo and letting a refresh load all new passengers and cargo. Loaded the new on the plane and still showed a negative profit. I'm assuming I'm not getting credit for the jobs either.
Yes mine was doing that at the start of this event. The app crashed about an hour later and the issue was resolved. It's nothing to worry about. When mine was doing that I was still making money and the jobs were being counted. It will likely work itself out.
Wow - it seems the TA lot are pissed off about not winning the Pevek event: after little more than a day, they're 70 THOUSAND jobs ahead of us. (I doubt it's because Cancun's more accessible than a town in northeastern Russia.)
Interesting! I haven't Bux boosted anything for Cacun yet ... might give it a try near the end of the event when I'm winding things down. Thanks for taking the time to do all the calculations. LOLOLOLOL ... I don't expect to pass Gus, he has double the amount of planes I have ... maybe when pigs fly ... so don't hold your breath. Did we ruffle some feathers? Keep it up! .
Really? I hadn't looked at the leader board. Wow ... 70k lead on us. I think it's because it is so much easier to deliver jobs Cancun than to Pevek, especially if you've got A LOT of free time to work on it for a good chunk of time. Multiply that by the number of members they have. Regardless of that, we still rock when you look at average "jobs per member". Vic mentioned the number of members participating in each crew. For Pevek ... TA1 delivered 65,013 jobs with ~60 members. TA delivered 63,947 jobs with ~800 members.
Yes, you can just check the screen and SEE a golden box, though sometimes they are partially hidden behind other tall boxes. I have Kringle Kruisers sitting strategically in Chicago (services open class 3 airports in US), Lagos/Kinshasa, Paris/London and Istanbul/Cairo. The ones in paired cities pick up BUX & swap positions when full. Since I'm running planes from Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles and Mexico City, if pick up, the Mystery Part, unless it's a P-only plane, then I boost my Kringle Kruiser to go get it. When I load a P-only plane, I hit the show ALL button so I can spot any Mystery Parts there. I tried using the map to look at open airports; however, too hard with the way the map works. I seem to be getting a good mix of HAB parts, so far: 9 bodies 6 controls 5 engines I'm sure there will be extras here and there for us to swap around. As for game...I can't wait for the new NimbleQuest! Vic had shared a link to the preview. I also play Clash of Clans, another Supercell game. Build a camp, join a clan...there's a Toucharcade Clan, battle and so on. It has a chat feature which is nice.
I think you're right about that. I hadn't even thought of the HAB parts as a selling point. I'm not actively chasing down mystery parts, if they show up cool, if not then no big deal. It would be a different story if it were a Sea Knight, I'd definitely hunt down those parts. I wouldn't mind having a swarm of Sea Knights ... someday.
I don't think they're pissed. Maybe a few guys from the top10 are. But the vast majority of TA members come from google search, and just play casually. They don't care, they just want the first prize doing 50 jobs (not that there's anythg wrong with that ). TA crew is also more US centric, so more ppl have airports in the US than in Siberia lol. And a lot of players won't bother to do more than the required jobs for a Bux only prize. But when there's a full plane event, more ppl participate (true for TA1 too). And you have an incentive to do more jobs and play the whole time to chase down mystery parts. I'll go on a spy watch tomorrow, but I'm sure you have at least triple the participation for Cancun vs Pevek. Pevek was the perfect steal for TA1, Bux only, far from the US, remote, no big airports near it. To do big numbers, you had to want it badly lol!
