Hi all! Im another newbie trying to get used to the game. Its absolutely awesome! But i have some questions! 1. i started in europe and spent most of the time buying some small airports (though i own berlin, london and paris). Was that wrong? I do lots of small range jobs but have no airport far away yet. 2. Whats the fastest way to level up? Im level 8 but cannot see how i can make it to level 9 in less than a day. how comes some people already are level 30 or higher? How do i earn xp / whats the best way to earn a lot? 3. Does someone have a wallaby c engine? 4. Whats your average profit per hour for your airplanes? Mines are from 500-1,300$.. is that bad? 5. Please add me at gamecenter! Nick: Duselk Thanks all and good flight!
I keep having to open Darwin when Mystery Parts show up! Grr. My little NAVIGATOR-M was doing just fine on the Sydney-Brisbane route, thank you! Stop putting my Mystery Parts in Tokyo!
I'm confused as to how the Flight Crew and World Events work. Do I need to just finish 5 jobs while being in the winning Flight Crew to get the winner prize or do I need to be within the actual top of my Flight Crew?
you just need to be in the flight crew and have at least 5 deliveries I just hit 14 and unlocked the Pearjet Now I have a Sydney-Moscow route opened
The upgrade from North America to Eurasia is really disturbing... I'm not used to seeing such huge losses when chaining. Thankfully the rewards are really high. Enough 5-7 bux missions and I might even pay off one of these darn Pearjets someday...
I finally got my first mystery part, but I have to fly it from phoenix. . If I flew it from phoenix to another airport, could I just fly it to brisbane when I get the chance, even if the even is over, because layovers never just "disappear"?
It's not that much. I picked up Brisbane (~16K), Rockhampton and Cairns (each around ~5K). Probably $35K invested, used the hangar to re-deploy two single cap planes (one passenger, one cargo) for 2 bux and managed to contribute enough to secure the plane and as a side benefit got some jobs toward the Diver event going on in Cairns. Will I be turning a coin profit exactly before I close these airports after the event (I'm nowhere near to being able to expand to Australia)? Probably not, but I won't be losing very much either. Putting it in perspective, I was a "late comer", and even having started in the north eastern US/Canada region, I wasn't able to contribute a single job toward the previous event in Calgary, but was able to do so this time without much trouble.
Where do I know how many jobs I have done. I have a route open from Rockhampton to Brisbane and have a plane going back and forth for a while now but on Flight Crew it says, Jobs By You: 1
Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the first plane that has the range to do a transatlantic flight? Preferably from the United States to Europe. Thanks in advance!
Well, playing devil's advocate, they do give rewards to the top 1000, and that's well within reach of a lot of "normal" folks. However, yes, if there's no limit at all, or change to the award structure, then yes, natural selection will push everyone with access to the internet and who cares to just type in "toucharcade" and then everybody who can get a whole 5 jobs done in 72 hours will take home the top prize. Of course, if you've got millions of people playing and you limit crews to 100, well, same idea, 99.99% of people aren't going to be anywhere near the top either. There is a balance somewhere in between 100% of players who care joining TouchArcade and limiting crews to insignificant numbers that turn it into a lottery
A lot of the "tips" for this game are like a lot of the tips that ran rampant with Tiny Tower. People get hung up on the optimization factor, but those things only matter if you have the time to play, literally, constantly. While the design of this game is notable compared to Tiny Tower in that you actually can lose money (although after an hour with it you would either have to try to do so, or just perform actions at random), any semi-competent approach will work, not necessarily as quickly or optimally as other approaches, but it will work. What I do find myself loving about their design here is that there's actually a lot of room for approaching the game differently based on your play style (e.g. If you can't be arsed except to check in once a day, work toward spreading out a bunch of large airports with large capacity planes, or if you like the constant micromanagment, then go for closer airports with faster planes). In the end though, people should just figure out the mechanics and then play however they like because much like TT, if you simply play at all, you will progress.
You'd probably be better off with Sydney than Rock/Cairns.. Also, I just do one M-class plane. I've yet to leave Sydney without a trip bonus.
Leaderboards have been funny all day, not been able to get on it most of the time. My number of jobs has been stuck on 22 for a while. Will be sorted soon I'd imagine.
