Personally I never upgrade the speed, I just upgrade the range to increase the money coming from the jobs as you can get jobs at airports further away and then upgrade the weight to increase the final profit. I don't see a reason to upgrade the speed, it doesn't do it by enough to warrent the loss of earnings. Also look at any posts from Faye Valentine or Snowbird and the second link on there signature goes to some useful posts about strategies and other helpful information, it helped me when I was starting out and was working on my own personal strategy.
I wish I would've found these forums earlier...I've wasted so many bucks on upgrading speed. #wasteful
I hope to make level 16 today which will unlock the Aeros. I didn't pick up any Pearjets. I currently have 341 bucks to fund the beginning of the Aero fleet. Luckily I'm flying a desk at work today. I should be able to keep the planes in the air all day.
Every plane I use is fully upgraded in all categories. I've never considered any of these facts lol. Maybe the Cloudliners wouldn't be so expensive to fly if I left their speed lower.
Hello, I am looking for some input on the way I am playing. Currently level 27, have 16 planes: 4 Sequoia C / 4 Sequoia P and 4 Aeroeagle P / 4 Aeroeagle C. Trying to get enough bux to open 4 more slots. All Aeroeagles have range and weight upgrades, Sequoias only have weight upgrades. Should I get Cyclones eventually? and Cloudliners when I hit level 28? For airports, I currently have: Honolulu, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Karachi, Delhi, Shanghai, Tokyo. Honolulu, Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Karachi, Tokyo are fully upgraded. Chicago, Delhi, and Shanghai are upgraded to level 2. I just opened up Chicago, Paris, Delhi and Shanghai because I wasn't producing enough jobs when having multiples planes in an airport. Should I open up some more? Should I close some down? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
Early in the game, when you are focusing on adding plane slots and new class 3 airports, coins are most important. At that time, the weight reduction is useful but the speed increase reduces your profits. So yeah, #wasteful at that point. Later in the game, coins are essentially useless. It will cost hundreds of millions for a new plane slot, so you need to collect thousands of bux to get there. Individual flight profits are meaningless (a drop in the bucket), so at that point it might make sense to go for speed upgrades. This is especially true if your main focus is completing events (individual and/or global), as your primary goal is maximizing your rate of delivering jobs. I have upgraded all my class 1 event planes (Mapples and Kangaroos) to the maximum speed, and I use Cyclones much more than Sequoias to generate layovers (faster & higher capacity). Earlier in the game, Sequoias are by far the class 3 plane of choice, but Cyclones are more effective in the end. So if you've speed upgraded any of your "keeper" planes (Kangaroos, Aeroeagles, Sequoias), that will come in handy later.
Thanks. 21 of my 28 slots are Sequoia-P/C (2 Aeroeagles and 5 Kangaroos for current event). I feel a bit better knowing I'm not wasting bucks now...but I know I did some dumb stuff early on like buying parts and fully upgrading Pearjets and Equinox. LOL
For events...does the plane have to reach the destination city to deliver passenger/cargo before it counts or is it counted as soon as the flight takes off? Basically, if I send a group of planes to the destination with 10 minutes left in the event but the flight is 18 minutes, do the jobs count?
Planes in air at the end of the event will not count. From Nimblebit Support Forum: "Also, if you load up a plane with jobs to the event city and then close the app and don't open it again (while logged into Game Center) until after the event ends, those jobs will not be counted towards your Flight Crew totals. "
Exchanging bux. Currently if I exchange a bux it will only give me 500 coins. I have ~340 bux atm. At what point do they start giving you more than 500?
1 bux gives you 500 coins 2 bux gives you 1002 (501 coins per bux) Every additional bux traded in at the same time gives you more coins per bux. More is better.
Leader board is way messed up.. I show 2 8th place people. One where the 8th place slot should be. One where 10th should be. And 10th is where 9th should be. :/
