Logrolling - trying to knock your opponent off the log. Fast and furious fingers are trying to knock Faye out of the top 10 Alright alright Ill stop messing with Faye...for now!!! "Easy stress free event" lmfao try it with 19 planes!!!
Gus needs to talk to the pilots of the swarm. I expected 5000+ jobs by now. They must have girlfriends at th layovers lol.
I only had 22 slots during the London event. All Seqouia M. 10 leaving NY and 12 leaving Chicago. All flying back empty. Got 3rd. It can be done.
Can someone take the cyclone cargo faye sent me and change for 2 aeroeagles M maybe i am starting to be ashamed of the amount of planes i am asking for
LOL sorry my bad, I kinda just assumed you were into the P/C planes since you asked for P/C Mohawks, that's why I sent you P/C flavors of Sequoias and Cyclone. I'll send you 2 Aeroeagle M planes.
I'm flying 5 Cloudliner Ps between Jakarta and: Cairo, Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul, Kinshasa. I also have 5 Cyclone Ps. One makes a drop in Jakarta and heads back empty or with any available Cairo layovers. Not cost efficient...looking for job count instead. 6 Aeroeagle Ps shuttle jobs to Sydney, pick up any BUX jobs & anything going to Cairo, Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul and Kinshasa. 7 Mohawk Ps and 3 Kangaroo Ps deliver to Christchurch and return empty. Assorted other Cloudliner Cs traverse globe with a variety of Cyclone Ms making BUX deliveries. Working on cleaning up all layovers to close some airports. Timing will work with BUX exchange
I think this unknown 2nd place guy in our crew is a NimbleWiki guy that is challenging our undisputed king, Gus. Take his 2500 away from us and give it to them it's a lot closer. As usual..
Thefantasyicon asked about my strategy earlier when I was asking about how many coins and bux to save when cashing in and buying new stuff so I thought I would share. I think I have taken a bit from all the different strategies that have been posted on here and then added my own little touches to it. I am running an America to Asia route with London as my switchover base with Paris as a back up in case London is closed. In the Americas I have LA, NY and Chicago in North America and Rio and Buenos Aires in South America. In Asia I have Tehran and Bangkok. London and Paris are upgraded to level 2 as are NY and Chicago from a previous failed strategy. Feeding from these airports I have two Seq-M to Tehran and Rio and one each to LA and Bangkok. Buenos Aires is fed by two Cloudliners one P and one C, then Chicago and NY are fed by a combination of a Sequioa and a Cyclone, a Seq-C and Cyc-P to Chicago and the reverse to NY. Finally I have another Seq-C and Seq-P flying from London to Paris. The basic plan is to fill the planes at the outlying airports with jobs for London mainly but also loading any bux jobs that are there, in fact I take Bux jobs over London jobs. When full I send the planes to London where I unload any bux loads and then load them with jobs back to there respective airports getting the 25% bonus before flying them back. So far its not too bad a strategy although I do feel it can make more money and bux, am averaging 400K a day and 300-400 Buxs but need to find a way to tune it up I feel. So far I have found out that it is a good strategy for me in the sense that I don't have to micromanage it every minute to keep it running. On the down side in the morning it takes a while to get everything back up and running. Plans for the future are to add a few more plane slots, at the moment I would have to withdraw planes to have a decent go at flying jobs to a global event that isn't Class 3 so compromising my earnings. I have only 4 spare slots at the moment which doesn't give me much to play with. Also I want to add a second Seq-M flying to Bangkok and LA as I know I am losing jobs having the single plane feeding them at one end or the other. Eventually I also want to have a dedicated bux sitter at each airport leaving the rest of the fleet to run mostly coin jobs. One other thing I have noticed that has been mentioned before here is that I eventually opened Sydney and Christchurch to have a go at the global event (I wasn't planning to initially but thought why not) and I noticed that the amount of bux jobs I got increased dramatically. Anyway I have typed enough, I need to get back to my planes and get some more jobs out. Any comments and suggestions are welcomed by you guys.
wow quite the setup you got here! 26 P only planes. That must have cost a lot of Bux to put into place. I feel bad doing 60 jobs for this one lol! Could someone post a top10 screenshot? And for all those doing Bux exchanges, keep us in the loop, tell us all about that here @Yelto : interesting setup. I did sthg approaching during the London event. But why no eastern Asia airports? You're missing easy 7,8,9 Bux jobs from Seoul, Shangai, ... And I'd fully upgrade all the class 3 airports you intend to keep asap. It'll make your job filling those planes way easier and faster
The Cloudliners and Cyclones are normally flying. Yes, cost some BUX to switch out my cargo planes for events. Wanted to do the best I could for Christchurch. I typically fly mostly P/C with a few Ms here and there. A girl's gotta shop...LOL...I often peruse the market and purchase parts for Kangaroos and Cyclones. Need to check if my Cloudliners are balanced (equal numbers), once they are, I'm done with those...for now...LOL.
WOW .... WOW .... WOW!!! That's a lot of P planes dedicated to this event. LOL ... I'm actually taking it easy here. Been very busy playing Mafia Wars, oh and with work, can't forget that. I'm working Christchurch on a much smaller scale ... 3 Cyclone P ... shuttling jobs from Shanghai/Seoul to Jakarta 5 Aeroeagle P ... shuttling jobs from Jakarta to Sydney 3 Roos & 3 Mohawks ... shuttling jobs from Sydney to Christchurch All my other big M planes get pushed around the globe so I don't have to think about them (or stay grounded when I don't have time to load them up).
Thank you! I noticed when you added this last month, it has been very useful! I would suggest closing up class 1 cities (Munich) and focus on stretching out your route with class 3 cities. Longer distances will bring in better paying jobs. Fully upgraded class 3 cities will give you a bigger job list, making it easier to fill up your planes. Since you have Aeroeagles & Istanbul/Tehran, I think Shanghai or Beijing would be good cities toward expanding into East Asia. (5 Bux jobs London-Shanghai) New York is also a good one if you want to expand to North America, your Aeroeagle will take about a half hour to do the London-NY trip. I would keep the Roos/Mohawks for more localized routes plus also use them for Global Events (you can use Bux to move them in/out of your hangar, or do what Gus does by using coins to buy class 1 cities to help move them to where you need them to be (and then closing those class 1 cities after the move)). LOL Sorry only just saw this, still working on my 1st cup of coffee while catching up in the forum working backwards ...
OMG that's me!!!! I can't seem to get my Bux count to increase, it remains about the same cuz I keep buying random parts in the market, stuff I don't need, stuff to give away. I know I can collect more Bux by minding my Bux Sitters, but that's heinously boring, so those Bux Sitters are neglected most of the time. I don't really need to buy more plane slots, it isn't a high priority at the moment.
I just watched TA play's video of the NimbleQuest beta. Game looks fun, and the video is great with Eli and Brad crashing into walls lol (http://toucharcade.com/2013/02/22/ta-plays-nimblequest-its-like-snake-but-way-cooler/) Interesting enough, there will be also crews (guilds) in this new game. But to counter the TouchArcade dominance that plagued PP, they have used one of the ideas I remember seeing in this thread: The crew's score is the addition of the 100 highest member's best scores. So it doesn't matter to have 5000 members vs 100! Needless to say, if they ever do this in Pocket Planes, TA1 would be so number 1 all the time lol! Come on NimbleTim, once the dust settles, please update PP and apply these rules to flight crews Edit: TA1 dudes and dudettes who will try NimbleQuest out, why not also do a TouchArcade1 guild over there ?
Ooh, interesting bit about the guilds/crews. Does the game seem interesting? Not that I have enough time to get into a new game, my planes don't get off the ground nearly as often as they used to. (Darn real life, getting in the way!)
