Concorde Ceremony in London Screenshots Updated spreadsheet and included link to sceenshots. Next event is in Christchurch? Where is that? Definitely learning geography with PP.
Its in New Zealand, or bottom right of the map if your geography/brain isn't up to speed at this time Is it just my maths or does the prize not even cover the costs to open the airports required to link in with my main route. Even just getting Sydney and Christchurch is approx 29K while 30 Bux only gets you 15K. Even getting the money back for closing them means you break even. Might be sitting this one out and go back to building up money and bux, I need more of both to build a fleet to challenge the top of the leaderboards more often
MOFO rankings after London Sorry all, for the small delay. I had a little mishap with my computer. Back online now, so here goes: First, for completeness, the London results: 1st Place, the undisputed Lord of London: Gus172, with an incredible 15,017 jobs! (Yes, you read that right.) 2nd: Jmacjmac, 10,090 jobs. Breaking the 10,000 limit gets you only second place these days... 3rd and last on the podium: Superpenguin17, 7,812 jobs; 4th: Tater4579, 6,808 jobs; 5th: Nokitano, 6,785; 6th: Faye 'Runaway' Valentine, 5,639; 7th: Vic 'Darth Vader' Sark, 4,952; 8th: RoboBoto,4,814; 9th: Lynsie13, 4,550; 10th: ktc24, 4,236. Couple of remarks. First, these are pretty much the 'usual suspects.' The sheer numbers they've produced are so insurmountable that newbies simply didn't have a chance. The various MOFO cups and leagues seems to be a pretty strong inceptive! On to the Month 4 standings, which are automatically also the ones for Q2. Who's in the run for the 4th Silver Yoke and the 2nd Golden Sequoia? I will leave you no longer in suspense: 1st place: Gus172, 75 points. 2nd: Faye, 57 points; 3rd: Tater4579, 45 points; 4th: Jmacjmac, 40points; 5th: Lynsie13, 29 points; 6th: Snowbird, 24 points (2nd place in Rome; 7th: Nalazoo, 24 points (4th place in NO); 8th: SuperPenguin17, 17 points; 9th: RoboBoto, 15 points; 10th: Number1Ump and Nokitano, 10 points, both achieved with one 5th place. Kudos to Gus, who risk life and limb, health and sanity, to achieve these amazing numbers. A well-deserved honour! That said, it's still early in the season so anything can still happen. Ump can come back and race back to the high place he held before; Gus seems unbeatable at the moment but Faye and Tater are not far behind. On to the overall standings. How has this amazing race impacted the all-time Hall of Fame? Here goes: 1st place: Faye Valentine, 284 points; 2nd: Number1Ump, 273 points; 3rd: Gus172, 248; 4th: Nokitano, 209; 5th: Vic Sark, 200; 6th: Snowbird, 126; 7th: Coastcat, 115; 8th: Copper Metallic, 112; 9th: CastlePage, 99; 10th: PocketDaddy45, 95. Faye the Flinger has been called a constant performer before. Here we see the results of that. Number1Ump will need to come back, or he will slowly descend into oblivion. If he doesn't watch out, he will be in danger of of becoming Number1Dump. Gus172 is firmly in 3rd place, but he will have to keep doing well if he wants to outrank Faye in the long run. Can he keep up this murderous pace? And the ever strong MOFOs Nokitano and Vic Sark are not very far behind. Couple of top results and they'll be very much in the running! Even Snowbird, Cat, and all the others at more than 100 points distance are still contenders for the Concorde Cup. After all, someone doesn't take part only once and he/she will lose 25 points vis a vis that event's winner. Such is the brilliance of the Formula One system, and hence the MOFO rankings! Thanks all, for your great contributions, and watch this space. We'll be back with more statistics! Cheers, M.
Think I'll fly a Sea Knight between Sydney and Christchurch for this one, while I wait for a Nome>Wellington bux job to show up so my HAB can fly its carefully-prepared route.
Thanks for the update. Gus did an AWESOME job with 15k jobs!!! I think that's the record high so far.
Thanks for your efforts Merlion! Great summary. How are you guys handling this Christchurch event? I was thinking of opening Melborne and shuttling jobs from Manila to Melborne with Aeroeagles and then Kangaroos from Melborne to Christchurch. Will Gus be moving the swarm? Seems perfectly suited for him.
Hey Gus, are you looking for Concord parts? I got a Concord body I would trade you for a Kangaroo P or 3
Tater that is awesome news! I am going to have a contest for a full Concorde and that will finish the plane! Thanks for asking!
Do you upgrade them? They're nice, speed and range are amazing. but the imbalance bothers me too much. I don't see myself using more than 2 I guess
Nice. I've just got my first one and if there ever is a whole plane event I suspect I won't sleep either although Vic has a very good point about the imbalance.
I've got a concorde engine i'd like to trade for a concorde control. anyone? pm me for fastest response. thanks!
They are just too much fun not to include in my fleet. For certain events like embassy, medical, they were invaluable precisely because of the imbalance combined with the speed...although I agree most of the time it is not helpful. The expense is irrelevant at our level, but could be a problem for lower levels. My favorite plane to fly.
Istanbul or cairo i have london and want to expand to the east i am still level 7 and got 3 roos only till now, and i am not asking for planes, yet
