I would like to make a small request of TA1 members ... please periodically update your PP level on the spreadsheet so that we can easily determine whether you are within our gifting range. The gifting list only shows the top 100 people in our GC. I just discovered that I'm unable to send gifts to some of you because you fall below the level of the 100th person on my list
Hmm this event has turned me towards M planes, at least Sequioa ones anyway. I've never got them to work with my previous strategy and any parts I got from opening airports I disposed of straight away, but I can now see how they could be useful for event delivery planes. Might have to grab a few more Sequoia-M parts from the market to add to the parts I got from the last event and make some more planes.
Thanks guys for the Sequoia-M parts. No more required I have enough bits now to make the planes. Just need the plane spaces now to use them Just done a quick check of my parts now and I have enough bits to build 5 of them now. All I needed was a body and controls to complete the two I had so thanks again for your generousity
Usng Snowbird's instructions, I was able to post the photo directly from my iPhone...skipping steps 2 & 3. Note: on iPhone, when when you upload, you get the option to take a photo or choose from existing. Choose from existing opens camera roll & you can choose from there.
I'm just a bit under where you are now. Starting a little late into this event put a quick stop on me breaking into top 25
Global rankings The other day someone had a brilliant idea (sorry, forgot who) to apply the Formula One method of classifying winners of the events. The winner of an F1 race receives 25 points, 2nd place gets 18, and then 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, down to 1 point for 10th place. At the end of the season (around 20 races) points are added up and the World Champion crowned. This was irresistible. Thanks, brilliant idea-man, whoever you are! So I've done this for all of the 28 events we've registered in TA1 until now. In order to make it more interesting I've grouped the events by months and quarters, using the tried and trusted 5/4/4 method. In retail&industry January has 5 weeks and Feb and March 4 respectively, adding up to 13 weeks for the quarter. In PP, with half week events, this leads to 9/9/8. So after 28 events I have five rankings for you: the 1st/2nd/3rd month Top Tens, the first quarter Top Ten, and the overall Top Ten until now. Here goes: The first month (first 9 events) kicked of with the following Hall of Fame: 1st Place and 1st Month Champion: Nokitano, with 119 points; 2nd: Faye Valentine, 72 points; 3rd: Vic Sark, 69; 4th: Number1Ump, 65; 5th: Jayorros, 63; 6th: CastlePage, 62; 7th: Snowbird, 58; 8th: 3500, 51; 9th: Harmoniamundi, 46; 10th: Noids, 30. Interesting to see Nokitano winning by a runway length, followed by a closely knit group of 6 well known forum names with not much space in between. Spudwreck finished in 13th place for the month, with 25 points. Why do I mention him? Because he delivered an unforgettable 10,870 jobs for Paris, the first recorded race. It is still the unbeaten record for all races hitherto. Unfortunately, it was the last time he scored any points. Spud, where art thou? OK, for completeness: in 11th was Gus, who didn't wield his Roo swarm yet, with 30 points; closely followed by Coastcat with 29. Honourable mention goes to yours truly, in 25th place with a grand total of 4 points. It would be the last time I scored any points On to the second month, 9 events again, starting with Chengdu and ending in Lima. The results: 1st place, by two runway lengths: Number1Ump, 126 points; 2nd: Vic "Darth Vader" Sark, 79 points; 3rd: SlightlySomewhatNorth, 69; 4th: reigning Champion Nokitano, 64; 5th: Copper Metallic, also 64*; 6th: Faye Valentine, 63; 7th: Gus "The Swarm" 172, 45; 8th: PocketDaddy45, 40; 9th: Ltbaxter, 33; 10th: Coastcat, 30. Note*: with equal number of points, highest score counts. Nokitano scored 1st in Lima and 2nd in Chicago, while Copper scored 1st place in Chicago but his next highest result was 3rd in Port Elizabeth. Bigger differences this time, especially between nrs 1, 2 and 3. But again, 4-6 are closely knit with only a few points in between. Previously strong performers like Jayorros, Castle and Snowbird drop out of sight. Steady performers are Vic Sark, Faye Valentine, and of course Number1Ump, who climbed the ladder from 4th place to the very top. So what did the third month bring? 8 Events, starting with New York and ending at the other side of the world, in Padang. The results, Ladies and Gentlemen: 1st place, but not by far this time: Gus"The Swarm" 172, with 104 points. 2nd: Faye, 96 points; 3rd: Number1Ump, 76; 4th: Coastcat, 58; 5th: PocketDaddy45, 55; 6th: Vic Sark, 52; 7th: Copper Metallic, 44; 8th: MacSym42, 37; 9th: SuperPenguin, 30; 10th: RoboBoto, 28. RoboBoto narrowly pipped Castle from the Top Ten and into oblivion. Castle also scored 28 points but Robo scored 4th in Punta Arenas, while Castle only had 5th places as his highest finishes. Again, we see Number1Ump, Faye and Vic as steady performers in the top. Differences however were a lot smaller this time. And after three months, this brings us to the First Quarter Top Ten: 1st and the Undisputed Q1 Champion: Number1Ump, 267 points; 2nd: Faye Valentine, 231 points; 3rd: Nokitano, 201; 4th: Vic Sark, 200 (close but no podium!); 5th: Gus172, 179; 6th: Coastcat, 117; 7th: Copper Metallic, 108; 8th: Snowbird, 104; 9th: CastlePage, 99; 10th: EverSoSlightlyNorth, 96. Congratulations to Ump, who has the strongest showing, both in steadiness and in overall result! I will not reveal the overall standings after two more events, but I can lift a tip of the veil: Ump needs to watch his step, because Faye is nipping at his heels and Gus is storming the charts with frightening speed. I will keep you posted. I will also look into putting this into the TA1 spreadsheet so everyone can see this on a continuous basis. But it's not easy since a wee bit of data cleaning has to be done before it actually works. A last tidbit: applause for the collective TA1 members who have recorded the results. In total 68 known members have scored points, plus another two unknowns with a total of only 9 points. That validates the results quite a bit. Cheers, M.
New Hello, I've been playing since Saturday. Found TA on Sunday looking for tips. Love the game and the active community here. Any spare parts would be much appreciated. I've also added a few GCs here mine is HMyers. See you guys on the leader board. HM
Thanks Merlion to take the time to do the Formula 1 leaderboards I've been wanting to do that for a long time but never found the time nor energy! Great regrouping of the events btw. Monthly and quarterly looks good to me Let's say we keep it going, championship leaderboards updated after each event would provide another incentive for some players to rack high numbers. It does require some manhours though, some volunteers? And obviously it would be great to have a few more top10/20 participants to take screenshots in the last minutes of the event and post them here. I can do that And I remember the first event we recorded (Paris), we were 3 above 10k jobs and I ended up third by a mere 20 jobs lol Didn't think at the time it would cost me the Quarterly's PP TouchArcade1 Championship podium!
Its on...and I'm bringing my 19 planes!!! That's right kangaroo boy, blimp boy, and frenchie with a vader fetish I'm hunting you down and running planes off of runways. Anyone else that FLINGS planes randomly past me and into the top 10 will also be in the crosshairs in my quest to be in the F1 rankings! 10 points total for now...
