Just noticed a glitch.. I was flying my c130 from LA to Tokyo with a few passengers to be dropped off in Seoul. I set up the route. LA/NY/Paris/Tehran/Seoul/Tokyo I THOUGHT I hit fly (but apparently didn't) and exited out of my game via the home button on my iPhone. Opened the game about 15 minutes later and realized I didn't hit fly and the game was still sitting there waiting on me to put the plane in the air claiming it would take 1 hour and 56 minutes. I hit fly and then went to the page that shows how long all your flights are away from landing. It showed this plane to 1 hour and 40 minutes out.. I didn't notice if the flight took less coins or not.. But.. It obviously considered the plane took off when I exited the game earlier. I've tested this 3 times since and it comes out the same every time.
I'm in the same situation, first event with a 130 part and too low a level to actually put it to any use. So if any of you need whatever part I end up with it's yours.
Yeah joined up today. Sent out GC friend request to like 10-15 of the people from the spreadsheet. Hopefully I'll get more of you guys added to populate the rest of the leader board soon.
If you want to get rid of that C130 part I would gladly talk it off your hands It is the only one I am missing from the fleet.

What good is the C-130 Hercules? On paper it's almost identical to a Sequoia, except that it's 10MPH faster, and it holds 1 less passenger and 1 more cargo. So why is it such a rare plane? I don't get it.
People want the C-130 to complete their plane collections. It's not available for purchase in the marketplace, and this is the first time it's appeared as a global event prize (albeit just a part), hence it's rarity. A few of us were lucky to receive one as a random gift from Nimblebit during Christmas 2012.
I guess I can understand from a completionist perspective, but from a gameplay prospective it just doesn't seem that great. So do people just build it and then hangar it indefinitely after that?
it's a well designed plane, fun to use. And it can be useful in tandem with 2 Sea Knights for events. But I agree that performance wise, it doesn't stand apart. You're not loosing much if you don't have one. And you don't need a lot for sure We did a review of the usefulness/rarity of all the rare planes, I think it's in the TA1 spreadsheet links. There are some utterly useless planes just for collection or show, and some that are really useful or achieve very different tasks from the market planes (sea knight, blimps,...)

I've managed to get up to 15th place today. It's rather hectic, as I'm flying all M-planes and only a single P-plane. Right now, I only see one person from here on my ranking page..
