Thanks for your reply, I'll add everyone from TA1. One more thing, and this is open to advice from anyone, but as I've just reached lvl14, I can finally get a Pearjet running, and upgrade it to start the London><NY route - is this a total waste of bux just to get the route? Should I hold out for bigger planes and make bux elsewhere? (Currently got a route from Lon>Berlin>Mosc with 7 Airvans and running 1 Kangaroo and 2 Airvans to DC from NY and Philly)
Make sure you get another 50 jobs done by the end or you won't get the prize, I fell foul of that last event by miscalulating how many jobs i'd done and missing it by a couple, D'oh. As for your strategy, I personally would wait for the Aeroeagles before going for the transatlantic route, the Pearjets are not easy to make them run at a profit. As I said elsewhere in the big post go look at a post from Faye Valentine and she has a link to a page with a lot of different strategies on it which is very useful.
I did exactly that, started NY-London route with a Pearjet, it isn't worth it IMO. At level 16 you'll get Aeroeagles, which is a much more profitable plane. The Pearjet is very fast, but that means it's expensive to run. In the longer term, NY-London/Paris is a good route, if you are starting out in Europe/US. London-Ny is currently my busiest route (level 34) and I run Sequioas and Aeroeagles on route LA-NY-London/Paris-Teheran-Seoul/Shanghai/Tokyo.

Well it's finally over....44,524 Bux!!! Cashed in for over a billon coins. Started in October I think, and since I got a new job where I couldn't play all day, it seemed to take forever, ugh I quickly bought 5 plane slots and I'm now up to 30 total. I think I might buy 5 more and load up with cyclones and sequoias to round out my fleet. I have 979 million coins to burn now, feels weird. I was never strapped for cash before any way, but its weird to see that total! Is anybody still on their quest for a billion? Right now I am sixth on TA1 for highest airline value, so either everybody stopped, people aren't finished, or weren't as crazy as me to start in the first place

I'm trying to open up more slots.. Currently at 22. Waiting until I can open up 23 and 24 at the same time. Should be by this evening... My fleet is more set up to compete in class 3 events. Or class 1, I have 6 mapples I bring out for those.
Yep ... he's got an invincible army of Roos. I'm working the DC event with only 3 Aeroeagles, and no plans to overtake King of Roos.
Is anyone going to be doing an update of the spreadsheet soon. Would be nice to see my name on there in the top ten before sliding out of it tomorrow as I don't have time to do any flights while at work On another subject, if I buy another plane slot does that count towards my airlines worth in the stats or does it only count the cost of the planes, airports and the cash you have in the bank?

You guys crack me up. I actually wasn't going to go at this event this hard but once the Kangaroo parade got to DC I figured might as well stay and play. If someone wants to gift me a C130 I will bow out? Just throwing it out there..... It is the only plane I am missing in the museum
