5 so far with 375 total jobs. Trying a new approach that basically means I should catch every Mystery Part while I am actively playing. Will be interesting to see final ratio.
I have 1 with 60 jobs... (I just started the event 5-6 hours ago) PS: I might be turning into Gus (Is that a bad thing? ;P) : I am only using roo's for events...
EDIT: Well, it's the 12th now, so I'm gonna say that's a wrap. I don't want to give away anything that's broken so I'm considering this deal closed.
I'm concentrating on mystery parts - I have my planes sitting in the airports. Have 15 so far - 10 controls, 4 bodies and 1 engine. :-/

Anyone else think that turning my airline all cargo for this event is a good idea. I'm thinking it would be great for mystery parts but not great for amount of jobs done. I have 16 slots available half at the moment running passengers with no mixed planes, and don't bother suggesting them to me either I can't seem to make them work with my normal strategy so don't want to waste the bux on them
Aww beat me to it...i have mostly engines too of anyone would like to trade 6 body's 7 controls 10 engine
I think I'm going to wait until the end of the event before trading - just in case my luck changes. I currently have: 12 x controls 6 x bodies 3 x engines Not sure what I'm going to do with all these planes mind you. :-/
As long as you get your 50 jobs in, why not? I've done a bit over 200 for New Orleans. Now I've got a few Kangaroo Cs sitting at my paired cities (Paris/London, Tehran/Istanbul, and Seoul/Tokyo) with Seq Ms parked everywhere to collect bux jobs. There is no such thing as too many Sequoia M parts!
I decided to become more of an active member and start playing class 1 and 2 events. Kind of hard playing this event with the shattered screen on my phone! Anyway can someone update the ranks so I know who I'm chasing? THANKS!
Hey all. Decided to join the TouchArcade team about 3 days ago. Been watching the forums and what not and decided to finally register. Trying to do the New Orleans event since I started off the game in Detroit. Lvl9, 8 planes, 145 jobs delv. to the event. ranks me #171 in crew. I don't think I have a chance at all to break the top 100 but oh well. Anyhow, it's cool to see an active group of players on this. Hopefully I can learn some tips and tricks from everyone. If I gift a part to a person who isn't the proper level to buy that plane yet, is it lost? Will they get it when they reach that level? I've sent parts and they haven't shown up.
No, in theory you could gift a level 1 player a cloudliner and he/she could start using it provided the player had bux to build it and coins for two class 3 airports. Gifting sometimes takes a while, and that is probably why they haven't showed up yet.
