I guess I'll be sitting this one out as well - I got a full Hot air balloon before Christmas (thanks to Vicsark) that I haven't figured out what do to with yet (so the part will be sitting alongside some other parts (I'm looking at you, Concorde and Bobcat parts) and I'll be using more Bux to move planes down to southern Africa than I'll be getting (I've got Bux jobs worth more than that laid over at JFK).
I have absolutely no reason to take part in this event, I got a full hot air ballon from vic last year and only used it for the nome-Wellington achievement flight. But who cares, ta1 could probably do with the 5 or 6 hundred jobs I could get, and i enjoy doing it, so I'm in!
I've been sitting on 18 slots for forever and a day. I finally found a strategy that works for me but I've been limited to playing about 3 or 4 times/day for about 10 min. In this time over the last 4 days I've gone from 100k and about 30 bux to almost a million k and 1200 bux. Soooo the question is at what point do I exchange? Am I getting more slots quicker by adding 3 or 4 now and then hoarding until I get to a certain bux number, or do I add two at a time, or do I just keep saving until I get enough to open a significant amount more? Thanks for your responses!
You should check the tool "Bux calc" in the TA1 spreadsheet. As the price of slots is getting higher, you should exchange increasing Bux amounts also and not fixed amounts. I guess rule of thumb would be that a good Bux exchange gets you at least 4 or 5 new plane slots. So for you it should be anywhere between 3000 and 4000 Bux. It's anyway always worth it, as more planes means easier and faster Bux collecting
Just joined TA1 and the forums Hello everyone, I just joined TA1 and the forums. I am level 24 i have 16 slots and a line from Honolulu to Sydney I just opened up Tokyo and Lima and living stone for the balloon event. I added my info to the goggle doc. I am glad I found this place. I just got my first Sequoia M. I have mostly aero eagles and pear jets and a bunch of kangaroos I switch out for events I have Ben using C and P planes so far. I am wanting to convert to Sequoia M's and am buying parts as they show up.

At least they are putting a plane part in this time, but boy, it feels like we haven't had a mystery part event all year!!
