Vic buddy sorry iv been busy with work and blockheads - that's your fault lol Gonna make a start on anchorage now see what damage I can do
Finally I would take part in the Anchorage event to bring reinforcements to TA1. I openned Seattle as my hub for Anchorage event jobs and also Barrow jobs (I will do this achievement at the same time) and sent some Aero C from LA and NY to Seattle.
Sorry, I didn't gather that information. I wasn't paying attention to Class 1 v Class 3 destinations. My goal wasn't to be methodologically rigorous, but just to give an idea of how many jobs generated overall. Perhaps someone else can test that.
I wish there was a train.. Or ship version of this game. Or perhaps combine them together. Fly from LA to NY but take a boat to London.. Takes longer but doesn't cost as much.. Would take some work since you would have to route around land.. But it would be cool..
GC: ChaseDis600RR Damn, I'd love to join TA1 on these Global Events but my style of play/strategy in PP is very different to all the TA1 members. Ever since PP came out, I've been flying solo/Ronin status. I basically run a fleet of Blimps (10, to be exact), scramble them across the globe from Class 3 cities between LAX and Narita. I layover Bux jobs out of their originating cities just like most of us on here. It's a nice way for me to scatter and mess up People and Cargo. Then later on, I clean up and send them home. I guess this is my way of having fun with PP. Don't get me wrong, I roll out my Sequoia-Ms and Aeroeagle-Ms come parts rewards time and I also racked up on some good amount of mystery parts too! Which I used to trade for some rare planes, Now I am about 75% complete in my quest to have at least a pair of each rare plane in my Hangar (or should I say, Aircraft Museum). I changed to this style of play when I reached Level 20. I pretty much shifted my focus on Bux jobs, ran a maximum of 10 Blimps and kept my Airports to a maximum of 20. So now, I'm level 40...still climbing in a snail pace. I don't expect for everybody to adapt to this playing style, but I think this is definitely a good therapy to combat PP addiction. Just like smoking, where you can't quit cold-turkey-status...you gotta cut back and slow down. Cut back and slow down your PP addiction by flying BLIMPS! Hahahaha!!!!
I don't know about anyone else but I'm having problems playing this when there isn't an event I'm interested in. It just seems like I'm playing for nothing. No goal. Just sending planes around with no real point. At least with the events there's a reward. I don't have this problem with Tiny Tower, either, I guess because with that there's a visual element; I can see the results of my "work."
Hi everyone! Haven't posted for a while, but been keeping up on the thread. Random question: I know this anchorage event won't give mystery parts, but in a mystery part event, will they be more likely to pop up at a class 3 airport than a class one?? Cheers!
Nimblewiki (as I'm sitting this one out, I was able to do an admittedly quick reconnaissance mission). And, for interest (at 2.40pm GMT), the current standings are: 1 - Toucharcade (50,214) 2 - Nimblewiki (10,519) 3 - Toucharcade1 (8,726) 4 - Jayisgames (6,266) 5 - Polygon (4,604)
reached Level 26 hey guys finally made it to Level 26 and got my first Cyclone-C now going to get the other variants trying to make it to 28 so I can get the Cloudliner have a question, what's the best variant of aircraft to use I am using all three M, P and C but thinking of changing my fleet to Just M variant....
It's really a matter of personal preference. You will want some P & C planes for events like Anchorage, which is cargo only. There are other events that are passenger only. I prefer P or C as I can fill and send. With M planes, there is oftentimes an imbalance of passengers or cargo, which means you are waiting to fill the plane. Play with both and see which you prefer.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't waiting for this passenger. "Where is Mike Hunt going?" "To St. Petersburg, of course!" I know...I'm still stuck in fourth grade.
Blimps for ever! Merlion has 30 of them flying. You can still join TouchArcade1, there's no minimum jobs or anythg required. Your 10 Blimps could be slowly flying to Anchorage right now I made a few sleighs boost, but we are clear third for this one I guess. As usual for class 1 far away events where high number of jobs are very difficult to get individually, it's hard to beat the crews with many more members.
I know it looks like we're trailing in 3rd, but we still kick ass cuz we're delivering more jobs per member than the other crew. I think it's personal preference and playing style. My fleet is primarily M, I've gotten used to waiting to fill up the imbalances. Right now I'm using a few C planes for the Anchorage event. In the same boat. Blockheads is eating into Pocket Planes time. Red Tail Airlines only has 1/3 of its fleet in flight at any given time. Not working too hard on Anchorage, only have 2 Mohawks and 2 Kringles making the run to Anchorage. Also have one Seq-C to help with jobs, cuz the advertising agency is doing a crappy job for this event! Thank you so much for your coin/bux/airport study. Very interesting read! Edited to correct typo ... and I can't even blame iPhone autocorrection! LOL
