They are from Poway and company records show that. Either way they just moved to Solana Beach...and I am in Newnan, GA and find it odd that a company who's games I play regularly is in the exact vicinity of someone trying to hack my email. Very odd. It would be like me playing games on Espn's website and someone from Stamford, CT hacking me. Or like the time when I used to play poker and the cmpany I played on was on like Isle of Mann and poof so was the ip address of the person trying to hack me.
Basic Tips for Early Level Players Been sick, started as chest cold, moved to stomach...and all through the holidays. Did what I could on Events. Also had my boys home, so spent time with them Ok...here are things I wish I had known earlier & some insights: Press and hold the LOAD button to pick up all passengers or cargo for that destination. You can also press and hold UNLOAD to drop off all items for a location. To completely unload the plane...drop off one passenger or cargo, then pick up a NEW one from the airport, then press and hold the newly loaded one - so cool! Empty plane ready to be refilled. It's OK to *gasp* close airports. Actually, it makes sense in the long run to keep a smaller number of airports open. Initially, I thought the goal was to have MORE airports...to have every single one open. LOL. Silly me. Then I found TA1 & a new purpose for my airline - climbing the leader board. To do that, we need to deliver more jobs. More jobs will appear for the Event when you have fewer airports open. Makes it FASTER to scroll through list of passengers/cargo for loading plane. Start gathering BUX so you can cash them in for more plane slots or for coins, put 3 airports in a line. The endpoints are collecting BUX plus coins for the furthest airport. Hop to the middle airport (becomes a hub). BUX for that airport automatically unload. Unload any remaining BUX for other airports. Then, fill open slots with FINAL destination so you get 25% bonus. Avoid having Event layovers left stranded in airports. There are times where there will be a Class 1 Event and you'll use a Class 3 airport as a feeder. You may even bring in jobs from other airports to your Class 3 airport and off-load them there for pick-up by Class 1 planes. When the Event ends, and you close the Event airport, any layovers for that airport will grey out. They are taking up space IN the airport; however, you can't pick them up. So...it's important to make sure you clean up all layovers. Check BUX - Coin conversion chart. When you can...at least early on, cash in BUX to get another plane slot. This will increase your BUX collection and give you more coins faster for delivering planes with 25% bonus. Only participate in Events where you have airports open, or where you can afford to open a pair. Say your main route is in North America and the Event is in Asia. Open just 2 airports in Asia to be able to participate in the Event. Hanger a plane and then FLY it again in the Event. Advertise the Event airport. This increases the number of jobs that will appear at other airports. It's not necessary to get every plane, unless your goal is to fill the airpedia. There are many of these that are not "keepers" - they get you through the early levels, and that's it. There ARE planes that are "keepers": Kangaroos, Mohawks, Sea Knights, Aeroeagles, Mapples if you get them At the early levels, you end up putting these into your Hanger & then flying them again. Note: When you upgrade a plane & put it in the Hanger, it keeps its upgrades Upgrade planes as needed...weight first to earn more coins. Range so you can reach further = higher coins especially with 25% bonus. I upgraded my speed before understanding that doing so affects profit, ie, less coins :-( Use The Rusty Snowman's Pocket Planes Tools to figure out what planes you need to FLY for an Event. I also use this to figure out what airports to open. Or...just check out this forum, as many will share their strategies for the different Events (Thanks Vic for figuring out the Kringle Kruiser would make it to Anchorage....maybe TRS will add that to the tool As you get further, there are many other strategies that others have shared that will help. I'm now at Level 47 with 18 airports open. Working on clearing up BUX layovers & closing a few other airports.
Just press and hold UNLOAD on one of your loaded jobs to completely unload a plane. You don't need to drop off one item and pick up a new one. You can also get rid of layovers by pressing the small red X, even if the job is greyed out. This will remove the job's layover status, so if you leave that screen and come back, the job disappears.
in older versions of PP, v1.0.4, as long as you had one slot on your plane, you could load a non-layover person or cargo, then if you press and hold to unload after that, a bug allowed one to unload the entire plane, even if it is beyond the layover capacity of the airport. That may be where the misinformation came from. Man I miss that bug.
Ahhh you're right. Seems like that bug was so long ago... I won't deny that I took advantage of that bug, but you also have to play within the rules (i.e. layover limits).
LOL...that's right - it was a bug...seems I got so used to it. I've noticed a few times that if you have a plane that's mixed, that it won't unload everything unless you load something new, then unload. Maybe another feature (ahem...bug).
