The new update is wonderful! Although it lacks content, it makes the game a bit faster (at least for me) and so much more stable. Haven't had a crash since!

Also.. the Yinchuan event seems to be hugely popular.. managed to place 10th in the Moscow one, but this one is proving to be a bigger challenge!

So am I correct to say people only dislike Tokyo because it requires 1 tap more?

Also, does the pool of jobs still get diluted with the more airports you open? I remember that being true for the older versions of Pocket Planes, however I recall reading a dev stating it was patched such that opening new airports will only further expand the list of jobs available and will no longer dilute the pool of jobs available.

If this is true, wouldn't it be better to have more cities open? If you had more airports open and you just look at the first 30 jobs and ignore the rest, these 30 jobs will mostly be in the high paying range (eg. 6 to 9 bux) compared to having fewer airports open where the bux payment may vary between 1 - 9 bux).

You'll tell about the one click more me when you'll have 50 planes lol ;)
About Tokyo, I had it since the early days, but Seoul has almost the same Bux jobs pool and you can do NY-Istanbul-Seoul in 2 clicks with Cyclones. So that was it! ;)

Whithout kidding, I had to adjust my play-style using 30,40, 50 planes instead of 20.
I tried to simplify the tasks and keep only the essentials for my basis setup.
It's designed for 3 objectives, and these are not the same objectives as most of PP players :)
    - Being able to pull in thousand of jobs for global events anywhere if wanted, and adapt easily.
    - easy Bux (and mystery parts) collecting
    - doing the 2 objectives above without having to play non stop :D

I only play the global events now, and I don't need coins (nor Bux anymore I guess)

I did shrink from about 20 airports to 10 now, I saw the biggest improvement in the job pool at about 12 airports. I'm not sure It improves a lot if you go below 10.
The advantage is that I may sometimes fill a Cyclone for an advertised event city in one round and usually in 2 rounds.

Maybe they've changed the job pool generation, I'm not sure. But I see your point.
I also scrolls usually until I see 3 or 4 Bux jobs then stops.
I'm not sure it changes much if the appearance of Bux jobs is random.
So we should have the same average number of Bux jobs in our top 30 jobs. Mine is more concentrated but with more jobs per airport. So my 30th job in the list should pay about the same as yours if the airports are covering the globe.

lol, do I need a visa to go to Kitanostan?
I should visit someday, still haven't tried that multiplayer :)

I'm at level 24 with 17 planes slots (6 Aeros, 2 Fogbusters, 1 Sequoia, 2 Mapples, 1 Seaknight, 2 Kangaroos and 3 Birchcraft). My main route for class 1 planes (and Aeros) is LA-NY-London/Paris-Teheran-Shanghai. With the remaining planes flying randomly around Europe (blue/red airports - Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Bagdad, Cairo, Istanbul) collecting bux, delivering jobs or feeding London/Paris with layovers.

Should I be slowly closing the blue airports to strengthen the main class 1 route (LA<->Shanghai)? I'd like to open Lima-Jakarta route through Africa, but I feel I have too few plane slots for that at the moment.

Some of the changes that may improve the game:

    1. Add a maintenance requirement for planes.

    2. Add the ability to put planes in the shop to work and rebuild them. Such as, adding carrying capacity.

    3. Perhaps the possibility of a crash?? :)

    4. Add some new planes.. I'm wanting a space shuttle.. Maybe even some 22 or 24 passenger planes.

    Anyone else have some suggestions?

Maintenance and Space Shuttle are good ideas i think.

Also ability to tweak the capacity like trade a person slot for a cargo slot in a plane for X bux

Get to 20 plane slots. If you have the bux, starting acquiring parts for Seq's and Aero's to build in your slots. I have sold all but two of my blue airports (Boston/Barcelona) as it is a valid transatlantic path for my Aero's. See this post for where I am now.

At the moment, Kangaroos sound good. Don't sell them as they are very useful class-1 event planes. Take all bux jobs, etc etc. I think there is some work on a beginning-mid level game strategy and advice in this thred somewhere.

I'm so glad I'm not the only sick bastard here. That was something I thought about suggesting as well. Also, the maintenance requirement sounds nice but I can't imagine the frustration of needing to fly my sequoia to the other side of the world but can't because it needs maintenance...

I like these ideas. Especially the new planes and the option to rebuild them.

    I'd also like to see:
    1) Option to upgrade airports, possibly to Class 4. :3 [More jobs would be nice.]
    2) Edit # of C and P slots per plane.
    3) Edit airports? I think it'd be cool to tweak the colors and workers outfits (Like a pilot) like you would for planes. :3

Well, it's Seville in the English language; Sevilla in Spanish. So unless they rename "Rome" to "Roma", "Munich" to "München" and "Tokyo" to "東京", I think they named Seville correctly in the context of the game.

I like the idea of being able to add capacity to your planes as an upgrade, just like real planes have stretched versions.

Just a couple of my ideas.

    1. If an airport is closed but scheduled to open before your plane would get there, you should be able to take off. Nothing like having a full Seq. in Tokyo and you can't make a two hour flight to LA because its closed for one hour (and of course your lunch is only half an hour, so you either fly to NY or wait).

    2. To make up for the convenience of the above, if an airport closes while your enroute to it, your plane is diverted to the nearest open airport that you have, even if it means going back, and you still have to pay for the fuel (being a business owner can suck at times).

    3. My earlier idea that military plane should just have slots, not P&C specific.

    Make it so. Especially Tokyo!

    Seoul: 인천국제공항
    Beijing: 北京
    Guangzhou: 广州

    etc.

    About boosting...

It's been noted here a few times that you can boost an empty plane for only 1 bux, for quite a long distance. Many players take advantage of that when working an event in a class 1 city; boost the empty plane back on the return trip.

Well, I've also noticed that you can boost the entire round trip for 1 bux in many cases also. I've done this on certain class 1 individual events (e.g. Dino Theme Park in San Jose), where I have a backlog of jobs waiting at the nearest airport. For example, in that event, I was using the big planes to bring jobs to Mexico City and Lima, and Aeroeagles to bring them closer to Guatemala and Bogota, with Mapples making the final delivery to San Jose. I discovered that I could load a Mapple, set it up for a round trip (e.g. Guatemala-San Jose-Guatemala) and then boost it immediately for 1 bux, where I could instantly load the next 4. This was a quick way to empty the backlog in the class 2 cities, so I could send the Aeroeagles back to re-fill.

I'm doing the same thing right now for the Museum Opening in Kandahar. Since it is a cargo-only event, I'm using Kringle Kruisers (!) to deliver jobs from Tehran, which is being filled by three Cloudliner-Cs. If Tehran gets close to 60 Kandahar jobs, I can send Santa on a round-trip plus 1 bux boost to instantly deliver 3 jobs and reload.

It costs a few bux to do this constantly, but if you're trying to complete an event (e.g. I need to get 549 more museum pieces to a class 1 city in the next 5 hours and 19 minutes...) it is an effective strategy.

It cost 4 bux to boost an empty sequoia from LA to Tokyo.

Yeah, I'm not sure how they compute the boost cost, but it seems to be a combination of time/distance and capacity (and of course, whether that capacity is occupied or empty).

In my current case, I can boost a 3-item Kringle Kruiser for a 13-minute round trip (so 6½ minutes full, 6½ minutes empty) for 1 bux.

Thanks, I'm currently saving up coins for the 18th plane slot. I have some 700 bux, which I'll be using to enlarge the fleet of sequoias and areo's. Btw, I can gift some Mapple parts if anyone is interested, as I've been playing on a Mac as well.

Yep, Museum Opening in Anchorage for 30 bux.

Funny about that; I'm currently working on a museum opening in Kandahar for the next 4 hours. It's a cargo-only event, so bring out your Kringle Kruisers!
