Actually they changed a little more than the name. The airport was moved a little southwest and while Cordoba cost 2650 coins and had a population of 0.3, Seville cost 4515 coins and has a population of 0.7. If you had Cordoba open when you update, you automatically get Seville when they tear down Cordoba.
Interesting to see that they can kill or create airports easily. I guess the map will pretty much never change though So when's the full Concorde event in London scheduled?
I meant loads of European, and Worldwide cities, like Charlotte, Denver, Birmingham (America), Portsmouth (America), those were just a few in my own country that I could think of, and as far as I know Havana is the only carribean airport we have at the moment, so yeah I can probably name about another 251 cities that are not in the game at the moment, I live almost right opposite Gatwick Airport, and have always done for almost 31 years.
The problem with this is that the British cities are close together (Cardiff and Bristol are about an hour apart, as are Glasgow and Edinburgh). We'd be more likely to have places like Dubai or Kuala Lumpur than ten British cities (even if one of them is my home town). And Carlisle has an airport? Who knew? Not many - it's a niche sport over here and you can go miles without finding a fan. Come on - it's not going to be a full Concorde event, it's gonna be a part event, like Paris' and New York's were. Which will see an explosion in the trading thread when people get another part that they've already got and swap it for the part they don't have.
How about an event in Glasgow with Burns Night, coming up on Saturday, and I reckon there will be a Valentines Day event either in Venice, Rome, or Paris.
So, wanted to give an update over the last 6 days... I started BUX strategy before cleaning up my airports so that was a bit of a drag on both bux (too widespread) and coins (neutral to deficit). I'm still at 19 slots with the following configuration: 10 Seq-M (4 bux sitters at seoul/shanghai and SP/RdJ, 6 delivering), 2 can be built, with 4 missing bodies. 2 aeroeagle-Ms - delivering in region (Euro, americas) 2 SK's, 1 mapple, 2 Roo-Ps, 1 Roo-M, 1 Roo-C- event jobs from Seoul/Shanghai Coin: 218K Bux: 5483 Achievements: +1400 bux not counting AE-M and Seq-M parts bought, planes boosted. -82K coins but includes upgrading both Seoul/Shanghai. Accidental 10m airports open in all 6 regions. Airports opened: Yinchuan, Moscow Airports closed: San Francisco, Guatemala, Phoenix (last of the original 3 ), Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Monterrey Airports remaining open: LA, Chicago, NYC, Boston, Mexico City, Lima, SP, RdJ, London, Paris, Barcelona, Cairo, Seoul, Shanghai, Jakarta Pondering: Exchanging ~4800 bux for 13.9 million coins to get slots 20-24. Add Aero-M to add Lima as a third hub city in SA. Considering for LA/Chicago and NYC. Add Seq-M or two for transcontinental delivery. Add Aero-M for regional delivery. Maybe add Tokyo Seq-M for tri-hub in Asia. Open Istanbul and upgrade to have opposite path open for bux jobs. Sell Jakarta, Boston, Barcelona. Remove Fogbuster-P from service Love the coins of +684, but also delivering 23 bux with bonus
I did not play a lot of PP this week. Was too busy in Kitanostan (BH). But I am ready for a SB-event in New Orleans. Already painted my planes purple! Ravens rulez! PS: prize should be 52 bux, not 49.
I can relate to that. I didn't play for a while because the global event was inconvenient and lack of motivation in trying to clean up layovers all over the globe, but got that straightened out.
The cargo=game balls The passengers=paratroopers to hand deliver each ball The prize=c130 so you can deliver more paratroopers! They need lots of balls because of the hits Lewis and the ravens D will be delivering to the 49ers. Lots of collisions, lots of squashed footballs.
When you say Lewis delivering a hit, I can't help but think of the one he should have gone to prison for.
To bring us back on topic: Inside the speadsheet for #TA1, I modified the bux calc page to include a couple of new cells. You enter the number of slots you have, the number of slots you want, and the number of coins you have and it calculates how many bux (rounded up) you need to convert to buy those slots. Use zero for the number of coins if you don't want to consider your current coins. Since this is information I always want to have readily available, I decided to share it with the group. --tim
Am I the only person who noticed that Seville is supposed to be spelled Sevilla. They spelled it right on the update log...
Decided to have a bit of fun tonight and go for the Nome > Wellington achievement :-D It can be boosted for 138 bux! What a deal!
Hey all. I'm level 40 at the moment sitting on top of 20,000 bux, and I have a fleet of 23 planes (17 Sequioa Ms + 6 Cyclone Ms). I've realized that normal coin jobs are only earning a mere fraction of what my bux jobs are earning. A Sequioa travelling from North America to East Asia nets about a 15k profit. On the other hand a Sequioa doing a bux run tends to deliver about 45 bux per trip (450k at my current exchange rate), which is at least 30 times more efficient than delivering plain coins. For that reason I'm considering stopping the regular jobs and simply focusing on bux jobs only. At the moment I have 4 bux-collection planes chilling out in Tokyo + Seoul and LA + Mexico, and I'm considering increasing the number of bux-collection planes. Now here's my question: At the moment I have every single Red city open (4 in NA, 4 in SA, 2 in EU, 3 in AFR, Moscow, Tehran, Istanbul, 6 in India, 7 in East Asia & 3 in SEA). However I looked through some posts about bux collection and people seem to advice having only about 10 - 15 airports. Wouldn't it be a better idea to have as many airports open as possible in order to increase the number of jobs to maximise the chance of getting a bux job? If you're worried about tiring your finger out than you can simply scroll through the list halfway and ignore the lower paying jobs (I generally stop looking at jobs worth less than 500 coins). Also, Vic seems to dislike Tokyo because it's slightly out of range for the plane and requires a stop at a nearby airport (eg. Seoul) before it can make the trip there. Is it really that hard to tap your finger at just one additional stop? Or is there something else I'm missing? Thanks
hi the point of having only 10-15 airports open is so that it's possible to scroll through jobs at every opened airport to pick up all the bux jobs within the 5 min job refresh. also, a smaller number of airports would mean a less diluted job pool. so instead of having let's say 2-3 jobs to each city in your case of opening up every class 3 airport, there would be at least 6-7 outgoing jobs to each city opened. personally i only have 8 class 3 airports opened at the moment! about tokyo, some people like it because it offers a larger bux job generated from the other side of the world eg LA, while others don't like it because it's out of range. it's really up to you whether you want to have it opened or not. there is no right or wrong method to play this game, so just play it however you want to play! the comments and strategies posted here by Vic and other more experienced players are just a rough guide and their personal experiences with the game that they wanna share with the rest of us. bottomline is to play as you like
