Could anyone explain the Event sub category, not the 'Global' screen, but the one you get by selecting the tick button in the bottom left. In my view I can see that there are 1/46 events. Only one is listed, which shows a blank box, a fire person graphic, the text "fire", and "17/1000". I had thought that delivering a fire person to its destination would up this to 18 but this didnt seem to work. Any ideas?
The events have a set timer. Generally speaking you have about 12 hours until the event finishes to deliver the 1000 people. The screen you're looking at is basically a history of events that you've participated in. The blank box turns into a tick once the event is completed and the picture is largely unrelated - but while the even is active, you'll be seeing a bit more people and cargo wanting to go to the destination.
In my "sub events" I've got Elvis Convention 7/1000 Lumber Games 1/1000 Tourist Boom 26/1000 Embassy Dinner 10/1000 No idea what the go is with them either
Given that we only have 12 hours to complete 1000 flights, before having to wait for it to appear again, I'm guessing that no one has completed those for now.

Well yes, but I got about 400 in, so I think someone might have managed it. Come to think of it, I'll find a 12-hour stretch where I have nothing to do and try to complete an event. See what happens.
Exactly, I'll wait till the new events show up though Hmm... I'd love the event to take place in Class 2 city so I could take my airplanes there
I hope that in the future some of the class 2 airports can be upgraded to 3, at least.. It isn't realistic to base the size of the airport on population figures. For example, Singapore's Changi Airport has the capacity to take in A380s, so why is it only class 2 in-game? Same for Hong Kong. I feel that towards the end-game it'll get quite boring as all you'd have would be the class 3 airports and planes. After awhile leveling would see no purpose as there's only a finite number of class 3 airports..
Awesome game, I really luv it, just like Tiny Tower. But I don't get what layovers is? Is it bad, or good, and what happens when you have a person who has layover?
Yeah I guess. Those airports would remain unused though, unless you would want to sacrifice some of your plane slots for the smaller planes. And they don't come cheap.. (31st plane slot for me is almost 10million coins :O)
