Cool So many cool stories, shout outs, nice comments, and strategies in the last few pages... awesome! I feel for those making some awkward choices opening a wrong airport and feeling like it will be a big struggle to "recover." To those in that situation... hang in there! When you finally do get to connect two airports in different regions, when you get a plane big enough to make the long trip, when you open a hard-earned new blue city, it will all be worth it! Several have chimed in with what they do - that's been interesting reading so I'll do the same. I'm currently a software engineer who develops applications using combinatorial optimization, a PhD in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, was a cancer researcher for seven years, am now a seminary student and adoptive father of four. And of course I love the strategic aspect of games and discussing those online I'm currently re-tooling my main game and secondary game based on recent posts about bux, and have several iOS devices and a Mac so I've done 5o jobs in several places to get a few extra Concorde parts. Looking forward to a whole-plane event soon (I hope).
Beware #3 I am making a run at you. Lol I agree a C130 event would be nice. Although I don't think it will happen just because the way NB is handling the Concorde event. I am sure you will only see parts for these two plains. But I hope I am wrong. Gus172
A part event is kind of what I was referring to. I agree. These two planes will never have full plane events. I think I'm stuck in number 12 position. In 200 jobs ahead of 13 but 500 jobs behind 11.
I finally have all 19 planes in the air at the same time... and have 300,327 .. Still not enough to upgrade Shanghai and Seoul. But, finally passed 4,000 bux. I just noticed the prizes for this one.. is the first time in quite a while that the winner slot is better than the top 10 prize?
Please accept my sincere apologies. My comment was never intended to be hurtful to anyone but to build on a point I made in an earlier post about an analysis of PP posted on another site. FWIW, I purposely leave myself out of that compliment as well. I'm a casual player, with only the strategy I learned here, who's better at commentary than actual playing. Then again, given that my message was misconstrued, maybe not so good at commentary either.
I don't know, is PP Ready to release a new version with new planes in it? I expect that will be when we have a C-130 event - they wouldn't want people on mass scale be 'done' with the game
Jiayou. How's ur bux strategy coming along (if you're doing one)? Do you feel that 19 plane slots is sufficient? I checked the bux calc ... if you exchange all 4000 bux, you can get up to 23 plane slots. Depending on your strategy, the 4 additional slots may or may not be useful to you. The strategy I used then (twin hubs at both ends of a long line) required more planes, and 19 were very tight for me. Someone else mentioned a train strategy. I haven't tried that out so I can't comment. If you think that 23 plane slots will help, then perhaps wait until u have 4250 bux, and exchange 4k bux to get to 23 slots, with 250 bux to buy sequoias. I see that you have chomped copper metallic's tail and has over-taken him. Grats I'm looking at #5 now, who is some 30 jobs ahead of me .... Vic, Merlion, Andrwsc, Snowbird and rest of the strategy sharers: We've been sharing our strategies for getting big bux and getting many forum readers excited. That's good. However, I realized that we're talking about our 30 blimps, 29 mapples, 54 planes etc., while inspiring is not exactly helpful to our intermediate lvl friends who have like 17 or 19 slots. (and some end up all tangled up trying to emulate our strategies) So how about we device some strategies for scenarios say like tfrichards ... 4000 bux, 19 slots. (My challenge here is that at 19 slots, each additional slot is getting quite expensive, yet 4000 bux gets you only 10m coins). Any ideas? will the train strategy work well?
Last standings. No pp for me today, Nokitano you almost got me mate! 9th is fantasyicon on Android I guess and 10th our friend NorthDude
19 seems tight but mostly from a delivery perspective. I am working on dumping my class-2 airports as I make deliveries and have stopped picking up the class-2 BUX jobs at either end of the chain. I think as soon as that's done, I can remove my pearjets from service and go to Seq-M's (I can build 4 right now but no slots) long-haul (edges to Cairo/Istanbul) and Aeroeagle-M's (looking for bodies constantly in the market. anyone want to trade aeroeagle-p/c for aeroeagle-m? ) short-intermediate-regional haul (London-Paris-Cairo, NYC-MX-Chi-LAX-LIM-SP-RdJ) I'm still experimenting with this. Seeing you guys with so many slots and planes makes me see that it is possible to get there.. though sometimes annoying that you have so much stuff. Vic's Fleet of Death is inspiring. My Bux strategy seems okay since i've made it to 4,000 from 2,500 when i started a week ago (or so) so getting 200bux/day which is nothing compared to you guys but I also have to keep an eye on my son during the evenings which takes up lots of time but that's me. Looking back, maybe I should have gotten to the 20th slot before opening the hubs (300k each for SP/RDJ, 150k each so far for Seoul/Shanghai). As I have a fresh game that I look into every now and then, I can't believe I survived playing the game during the first few levels without any seeding unless it was learning and seeing the rewards coming at each level. I did the saturation technique of the Western US (PHX, LV, SD to start, added SFO and then DFW and HOU) before I found this forum. Then I wanted to get to Lima (wife's home) and opened MXC and Guatemala to make it with 'Roos and Birches. I've learned my lessons but I find it extremely slow in the start up just flying back and forth acquiring coins and the odd bux here and there... I may reset that game (in east asia) and start over again to be a little more sensible. X'ian and go west to lengthen a straight line trip? ----- Something else that I've noticed is that the beginning is slow and you have to manage coins to not run out and be unable to operate planes (oops) but at some point in the mid-game you collect coins without really noticing them as you work towards the larger planes, more capacity, longer-haul, etc etc etc, then being able to move on to different strategies involving bux-only, or event driven for expansion. --tim
LOL who already has Moscow opened as permanent airport? I must now see how to get there .... My cyclone+10% in Tokyo missed Moscow by just a bit ! Edit 2: this is passenger only event? !!! Rant 3: OK, so I saw in the market that there's a seq-P control and a seq-P engine (I already have a seq-P body so those two are highlighted). I ho-ed and hummed debating whether to buy. Finally clicked to buy seq-P engine, only to find the screen refreshed and my seq-P control gone. Because the market refreshed !!!!
Congrats on our fellow TA1 member who has already done 5 jobs TouchArcade1 first (and only team) for the Moscow event... yet
I've only got one so i'll be burning a lot of half-contributing planes! Though *crosses fingers* The concorde is mostly P so maybe i'll be putting that on the route. I've pretty much stuck with the M's thus far. Lifetime deliveries: Passengers: 12,481 Cargo: 12,289
I do. All you need to do is send Class 2 or 3 planes from Paris/London straight there or through Berlin if necessary.
