#VicsGiveaway part I: To help TA1 for the Ny event I'm offering a full Cloudliner M Offer ONLY for touchArcade1 members I already have on GC and level 23+ First to reply to this post gets it
Let me follow up on Vic's giveaway. I'll donate one Mystery Blimp part to the TA1 crew members who finished in 1-10 positions according to the TA1 spreadsheet for the Lima event, and are connected to me. Regardless of level. I'll wait a few hours until it's done and dole them out accordingly. If you're on 1-10 and on my list, Bob's your uncle This is a message for NimbleBit to stop doing bux only events Cheers, M. (a.k.a. Blimpaholic)
I thought I added you a while ago, did you accept? I Sent an invite again. For the level 23 min, it's because PP only shows me my first 100 GC friends ranked by level and it stops at lvl 23 now I would guess Blimp body I sent you the Cloud M so first Part of #VicsGiveaway is done
LOL, that's a good one ! How are your blimps doing? I really enjoyed your 30 blimp post. Now I understand y u wanted so many sets of blimp controls + engines Aside: How many people are going to do Harmoniamundi's multi GC idea? (Sad, my work is keeping me too busy to try it out.) Faye: Sure you don't want to convince your hubby to let you install PP on it. There's concorde part as a prize oh ! Vic: Maybe I really should drag out the cloudliner from my hanger
Oh, this is gonna be easy for me to get the prize - most of my transatlantic flights go through New York *anyway* (but whether I top my 757 jobs from the Chicago event is another matter entirely).
I for one, will NOT trade with anyone who is not an active POSTER on this forum. Yeah you may have been a member since 1950, but if I don't recognize your username, forget it. Now, people asking for gifts is another story. IF - and only IF I'm in a giving mood, sure, I'll give away parts to a lurker with a sob story (like "Hi I'm new here...") ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ AND IN OTHER NEWS: I'm back! HI! lol I don't play games on Saturday so I have some catching up to do...
I'm going to do the 3 GC account thing again. I posted about this in the midst of the Concorde event and from that event I got 2 bodies and one control. Just made a nice trade with Superpenguin17 yesterday, my body for his engine to complete my first Condcorde. Now just waiting for coins for next plane slot to put it into service.
Ha! I was hoping nobody would remember...so now I feel this burden to complete the mission. I've got two parts "in the bag" already and hope to create at least a couple more than the four parts I did last time.
Hey guys! hehe I've been lurking on the forum for quite a while, and relatively inactive in pocket planes since the new year began that's because I just went back to school (yes I am still of schooling age) and have been pretty busy these few weeks. Meanwhile, I've been toying around with bux strategies as well as coin strategies with my fleet of Sequoias and Aeroeagles and have come up with a strategy with decent bux and coin rates (for me at least) this strategy is targeted at people generally level 20+ with sequoias available and a decent amount of coins to buy class 3 airports. I have referred to the forum quite extensively for ideas, so i reality I wouldn't call this my own; but a mashup of many people's ideas, which works pretty well for me and is quite flexible. I mean it really suits my pp habits and time I have on hand so yeahh Airports: Nome, Anchorage, Ketuchik, Spokane (C1) LA, NY, London, Istanbul, Delhi, Seoul (C3) all C3 airports are fully upgraded, C1s are left as they are. Planes: Aeroeagle M x4, Sequoia M x9, Sea knight x1 (I am looking to upgrade this to a blimp or two the next time a blimp comes out as a prize, for now I'd have to make do with a sea knight) 1) I have no bux sitting planes. this may be disorganised and not the most efficient way of doing things, but I load planes by a) seeing if there are any cargo/people that I can take with a 25% bonus b) if there are not enough to fill the plane, load from the top first, then other airports in the same direction (route is linear so no problems) However, bux jobs override every other. I don't hesitate to make a plane hop in the opposite direction to the destination of the bux job, key thing is that I actually HAVE the bux job. 2) Nome, Spokane, Ketuchik and Anchorage constantly have fat bux jobs going to it from Seoul. that's where most of my bux comes from. I drop them as layovers in LA, then my sea knight drops them off in their respective destinations. That's just basically how I do things. and it reaps a fair amount of bux for a level 24 player, in my opinion. like about 400 bux a day? I know it's nowhere near what you guys are earning but given my limited time as a student I think it's fair enough. coins are coming in quickly, wnoigh to buy the next few plane slots soon! (I have only 14 as of now ) I NEED to stress that this strategy is NOT my own, that it will and does bear lots of resemblance to lots of other plans, but I tweaked and changed parts to suit low-er level players I.e. level 20+ I am quite a newbie at this game, compared to what others in the forum can do with PP, but i thought I'd just share what I have came up with over these few weeks of lurky-ness thanks so much for the compilation of strategies as well, it really helps a lot! oh and also, thanks vic sark for the sequoia m parts you exchanged for the Concorde part last last last last event! Happy flying! p.s. don't kill me for this but if anyone wants to exchange my (future) Concorde part I'm getting from this event for mapples/blimps, do pm me! (sorry for hiding this part trade in here, sly whales are sly
Hi all! I managed to scrape 8th place on the Lima event, woohoo! Took a bit of doing though, might of been able to get a bit higher but I'd of been up all night. Looking forward to another Concorde part from the New York event. I'm guessing the next Concorde event will be in London. Can't wait to get the full plane!
Blimps are doing fine, thanks! And yes, it cost me quite a bit of trouble to put he fleet together. I made the mistake of putting out the Mapple-for-Blimp offer just before the holidays. Many people took me up on it but my Mac's in the office and it was quite busy in the run up to Xmas. Plus, NimbleBit was less forthcoming than usual in he Mapple-seeding so long story short, it took me till after the New Year to fulfil all the orders... Not to mention Vic, who was one of my main suppliers, complicating matters by promising Mapples to all and sundry for me to fulfil in return, which didn't help with keeping track of the backlog. Thank you, Vic But all's well that ends well, and I hope I didn't forget anybody. If so, just let me know and Merlionine Airlines Customer Service will deal with your request, no questions asked Re Sictransitgloriamundi's idea, I did follow up on it. A strategy is evolving, which is best described as 'running after the global events.' I started out on the eve of Port E, and decided 't would be nice to get da bonus. Which means my choice of starting continent pretty much boiled down to Africa. Not your ideal starting place, but there ya go. I did get the bonus by running Mapples up and down the line Port E - Jo'burg - Harare - Zanzibar - Nairobi. Then came Lima, so first I bought Lagos and then Monrovia, Belem and Lima. So now I'm running Mapples plus one Sequoia up and down Port E - ... - Lima. (I'm still bad at closing airports.) The Seq pilot must've been getting excruciatingly bored, as he could only fly Lagos-Lima and back. Talk about milk runs. So now I bought, unsurprisingly, Bogota and the Big Apple. Difference with previous events is that now I have breathing room, being able to take part from day one. So I guess tomorrow I can start looking around and see what else there is to do Anyway, have fun, all! Cheers, M.
