Seems like there are only 2 crews really competing in the global event, TA with 29k and "the other guys" with 21k. No one else has 1k. I wonder who "the other guys" are.

It's okay, but it's not efficient unless you have large, fairly far spaced airports. If you don't, you're better of with just a couple of them, and running shorter trips with class 1 planes. Also note that the Birchcraft can't land at class 1 airports (black dots).

    Is Australia profitable?
Would it be worth participating in the event?

It's worth participating in the event if you are a collector :) I really wanted that P-40 Warhawk plane, but... I've already obtained it by delivering some packages to Brisbane. I don't mind getting another one though :) Ohh... and +10 BUX is always welcomed!

It's not a very useful plane though right?
Idk if I want to do it because of the coin cost :/

I have Tokyo and 8 planes, plus lots of class 1 airports to the event area and I started in asia.

Does any one think I should get a new second capital city some where and get my class 2 planes out of storage to go between them, or a couple more plane slots? I have enough coins for either.

237 bucks at the moment thanks to my family helping me save up and nimblebit for restoring lost items, so any recommendations on what to do with that?

Nope, it's not useful. It can transport only one person which is not impressive. Don't bother if you don't have any airports close.

I believe the guys right behind TA are the Something Awful Forums.

When you build a plane using parts, where is the plane? I can't find it anywhere.

Just do some jobs in Brisbane and you will get it as a reward soon. We are going to win the competition.

After hitting build, you have to select an airport for it to start at. If you don't, it isn't built.

Well I now have 10 planes, 3 of them 3 passenger seats, and 1 with 3 cargo so hopefully it will become a bit easier levelling up.

It is. Since being able to use tier 2 planes and getting my 1st Birchcraft (unable to land in tier 1 airports), I started slowly shutting down some smaller airports that were closer in range to one another, and opening up blue airports while spacing them out to make more money. It's been working out great so far because I don't have to tend to my planes as much, and I'm making more money in the process. I'm spreading west to east in the US and will eventually expanding into central/south Americas, whilst in Austrailia I'm spreading out northeast into Asia/Europe eventually so I can have an even spread. I put just enough airports in Austrailia to help with the event, while my main focus is on expanding the US into the Atlantic (and eventually central/south Americas).

It's working out pretty well so far. The majority of my planes are Mohawk-M, I have a couple Birchcraft, and several tier 1 M planes that hold at least 3 ATM. I haven't spent a dime on upgrading any plane yet either for the record and it's been working out great. Having tier 1 airports aren't bad if you place them right to help out your tier 1 planes reach further, but once you get levels 10+, I feel it's best to focus on blue and some red airports spaced out for more money and expansion. :)

    Flight Crew Help

    Hello,

Do you have to do the global event to get the prizes or can you do the local events as well?
And do you have to a minimum to get the prizes?

    Thanks!

Minimum number of deliveries for global events is 5 to get the prize.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I can't reach Australia, so I was wondering if the local events could contribute. ;)

EDIT: I realized I could buy a crappy plane (Griffin) then buy Brisbane and Broken Hill! :D

Local events don't count towards the global event.

    Google Docs Plane stats

Not sure if anyone has provided an efficiency constant for each plane, but I put together one for myself and thought I'd share it with the crew as well.

The constant was calculated using (Speed*Capacity)*(Range/1000)

The result was divided by 1000 again for readability.
