Can't resist any longer .... Ok, I managed to resist joining TA1 all day yesterday cos I just knew I would be "dragged" into being competitive, but I can't hold out any longer!! I'm level 46 atm, 32 plane slots (10 Seq-M, 10 AE-M and 10 Kang-M with 2 slots free for events), 18338 bux (been mainly collecting bux lately but not playing much). Feel free to add me - sdo62 in GC.
Couple of reasons, IMO 1. The prize this event pays more bux to a top 10 finishing crew than the winner gets. 2. Casual pocket plane players have figured out that they can just plug in the crew and they will always get the top prize. Most probably never visit the message boards. (Which is fine, because that's how Nimblebit set it up) 3. Most important to me though, is that this is a another way to challenge ourselves in this game. Most have achieved the majority of tasks associated with the game. So to keep things fresh and exciting we see how much our small but growing, dedicated group can accomplish without the majority of casual players in our flight crew. I think it's great. I planned on skipping Zanzibar altogether and now look at me. In 30 hours when the new event pops up it will be cool to see how we do with everything reset.

I really like that we have a smaller flight crew now. With regular TA it was easy to get lost unless you had thousands of jobs. I'm having trouble with GC ytd and today. It's just sitting down there circling non stop I can't add new friends yet. And fix the GC problem too. Will add... if I can get the GC to stop circling and get to work. Edit: right after I finish complaining, the GC suddenly agreed to stop circling. Ack! So that's how you shot up to #13 out of nowhere. I'm only level 29 with 19 planes, I don't think I can keep my spot at #12 for very long.
You probably just flew past me! I'm sure between you and Faye, I won't be in the top 10 by the end of the event. I just sent my last job to Zanzibar and closed my operation down.

Oops, sorry I'm really only using a few planes for the event - 4 kang-m's doing round trips from Nairobi to Zanzibar (without stopping in Zanzibar - a little trick someone mentioned a couple of weeks ago), plus 6 aero-m's taking Zanzibar jobs down to Nairobi from Tehran (because it was on my bux collecting route) - one advantage of being higher level is that I can afford to (and often do) fly them back to Tehran at a loss. And I've spent the money on advertising Zanzibar. I have the seq-m's continuing bux collecting and only picking up Zanzibar jobs if they are bux jobs - and the rest of the kang-m's and aero-m's are mostly idle. Oh, and I don't have a LIFE!!!!

No, make it 3 deadlines that's overdue I was tempted to babysit Nairobi, but looking at the deadlines, I better not. Edit: Now slightly south of SlightlyNorth.
