Break Up TouchArcade Dear Nimblebit, First off, love your game. I see you are trying to give incentives to people willing to switch flight crews. Be in the top 10 and not be on TouchArcade's crew and you'll get extra bux. I respect what you're doing. We have become a juggernaut. There's a lot of loyalty here with fellow Pocket Plane Pilots, but 15 bux will not move butts from seats.... However, If you were to offer a Concorde, Hot Air Balloon or C-130 part for a Top 10 crew and only 20 bux to the winner. I'm out of here!!! I'd make my own crew called Train2000 and bust my A$$ to finish just in the top 10. In fact, if you do this for a couple of back-to-back events...it's "see ya wouldn't want to be ya TouchArcade". (and I suspect many would do the same) Please consider doing this, call it a social experiment. All my best, Train 2000
I see what you're getting at, tempting them to bring one of those planes out to tempt us. I'd still stick with TA flight crew in that case though. Because I can get twenty planes from mystery cargo, I'd give up one more Concorde just to be loyal to all the people here. Don't give in! Be strong TA unite!
That's why it would have to be just a plane part prize...hence, no mystery parts. Come on Nimble, put your big brains together and make this happen.
So... after months of playing this game, between the constant removal and addition of planes, buying and closing airports, and doing deadheaded runs, I have finally hit the 1 million coin mark. If anyone can recall, I've posted three times my airline has gone bankrupt and I've been forced to sell several plane parts just to make one flight. I feel pretty accomplished right now. Cheap, tasteless airline food all around! And has anyone actually, I don't know, thought about pretending your airline was a real airline...? (I must be just that weird...)
Grats coastcat I ended at #73, as told to me when I opened PP this morning. A few global events ago, I literally babysat PP into the wee hours (3+ am) and realized that my last hour jobs weren't counted. These days, I just go to sleep. Is coastcat joining the North's billion coin race? Looks like North started a more interesting challenge than NimbleBit. I have 7965 bux, and I have been doing the bux strategy since DC event. Haven't collected that much bux, so am scratching my head to see where I went wrong Are there mystery parts to Zanibar? I haven't opened the airport yet. Bear: yes yes please buy a Mac and be our Mapple supplier. jiayou is a Mandarin phrase whose characters are "add oil" literally. It is a form of encouragement to press on towards your goal. I cannot think of any English phrase that captures its nuance, just like I cannot think of any Chinese phrase that captures the essence of "good luck". So I'll say: jiayou Faye to the race and good luck ! jh, I have only 7965 bux and the number is going down as I'm shopping for sequoias and upgrading them. but jiayou ! Alternatively, Vic could convince us to his more difficult challenge of 42 + x plane slots where x is the number of plane slots that 1 billion coins can buy (if I rmb correctly, Vic's next plane slot is 52m) LOL Hi airhawk.
Bear: care to write a macro that automatically collects bux jobs at every job refresh? I need this I've only heard the "ding" sound when a plane lands. Maybe I should see my setting. Gratz for doing exactly minimum and staying there
Well done Kit! No mystery parts this event. I wish I could afford a Mac lol I r broke college grad trying to get into medschool. I guess you could say I'm racing to 1billion coins. I switched to bux only runs just before this whole conversation began, but I only average about 500-900bux every day or two. I won't ever be on these guys' and gals' level, but I'm hanging in there. I wish I could Castle! I could probably write one on a Mac, I wouldn't know where to start for an iPhone or iPad.
Touch Arcade Flight Crew Idea toucharcade has gotten so big that there's no competition at all from any other flight crews. Here's an idea: Split off into two new flight crews: toucharcade1 and toucharcade2. Half of the top guys go in one, the other half in the other. See which team can beat the other. See if either team can beat the regular toucharcade. We can organize the new crews here on this forum. Any thoughts?
I don't see what the big deal is about TA being so good... Let the rest fight over second place, we'll always be the best xD
I like it. I'm willing to change to TouchArcade1 for the next event. Even if it was just a handful of performers we could stay in the top 10 easy. And typically a top 10 finish is the same as the winner anyway. If nothing else it would be something different to do. All of the bored players out there, Saturday at midnight, lets join TouchArcade1. (Just to be clear, I'm serious)
On Android my planes' stats reset every time I close the game. I can't even get the around the world achievement. I contacted Mobage but I got a boilerplate message back, basically "Hello, IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?" I thought thanx anyway Moss, or is this Roy?
Yeah, no, I won't be joining the Billion coin race lol, I just exchanged 25,000 bux so... But I do challenge TA members to open 42 plane slots! Tbh, having 41 planes in the air is way too many, it becomes more of a chore Why not, It could be fun to try. I've not played at all since Ottawa event, it could be a new challenge. We would need to be at least a half dozen. Maybe if all the active players of this forum join, it still would be fun to see the names in the leaderboards. And it would still be a TA team.
So we rally all the active forum members to join the event and see how far we can get? And yes, it will nice to see for once names instead of just nameless numbers BTW, Vic are you going to re-do the bux chase that North and the rest are racing ? ok it's done as I did not begun this event. I changed my team name to TOUCHARCADE1 I had to exit and reopen PP for the leaderboard to not show Toucharcade team. Iwon't play a lot for this one though. You mean we start from this event right now? Good thing that I haven't joined this event. I was still busy trying to close DC LOL. I finally closed it just now (deliberately ignoring two 7 bux DC jobs waving their hands at me)
Well after getting up to level 44, with 25 plane slots, about 5 million cash with over 5,000 biz, Pocket Planes won't work anymore. When I open it a box comes up "loading from iCloud" after awhile another comes up can't load disable sync, when you press the button to disable the sync it just crashes. Tried shutting it all down an d tried numerous times, it just simply won't work, now what, not very happy about it.
I'm the proud (and only yet) member of team TouchArcade1 which is 70th team on the leaderboard with... 100 jobs lol So Train2000, as it was your idea, are you in for this one or the next event? What if they were multiple TouchArcade crews all aiming for top 10? @castlepage I answered the Billion question editing my post on the former page I got about 4000 Bux right now, starting from scratch again. But I really don't need more plane slots!
If the next event is a whole plane, I will switch and run Toucharcade1 with you guys. Otherwise I probably won't compete at all, I'm gonna be too busy and won't let myself play. The next event will end on Halloween so I'm hoping they might release a new plane or at least a whole plane... Edit: But don't think I will be a ton of help, because I still have a problem with my job counter.
