It helps when the Cards are absolutely embarrassed and the game is a blow out by the fourth inning... I was mad>.<

Edit: I was looking at out leaderboards, and realized that if every member of our crew only did the minimum jobs we would still win the global event.... Domination?

None of my planes will land

I switch between my pocket planes on my iphone and ipad. I must have had them both open at once and it screwed up my phone account. Now all of my planes flight time says 2 days! I waited for a day then it just got reset again to 2 days.

The ipad app works great though. Any suggestions? I have allready deleted, reinstalled logged out of iCloud logged back in. All the synching suggestions in help. I really dont want to start over again.

Awesome, I'm in San Francisco so looking forward to the World Series now. :D
Watching TV is the best time to play PP.
I put away all my Roos after the last event. Am making sluggish progress on DC cuz only half the jobs I send to DC count toward the DC event ... I'm an M fleet, have a few Aero-M planes and then only added 3 Aero-P and 1 Aero-C for the event, yeah I know the Aero-C doesn't count ... and playing Mafia Wars while watching TV (it's good to have a laptop!) isn't helping with the job count.

I'm planning a trip out to DC for maybe next year to show my daughter all the cool things at The Mall (hopefully the Washington Monument will open up again by then?) ... but OMG the airfare from SF to DC is astronomical! :(
Which district has good (kid-friendly) restaurants? Haven't figured out where to stay, but was thinking maybe Dupont Circle if it isn't too expensive.

I knew I needed to send someone something ... sorry it took me such a long time. I know you asked for a Roo, but I figured you've moved on by now, so.... I sent you a full Aeroeagle-M plus Sequoia-M Control & Sequoia-M Engine ... I've been stalking the Market for Sequoia-M Bodies and they haven't turned up yet.

    Edited to add:

I'm curious .... how many people are in our crew?

Well Faye I don't know the exacts, but I am currently ranked 2010 with only 50 jobs. I wouldn't be surprised if we've got at least twice that. But 2010*50=100500 jobs :| second place is at 33000, and I doubt they'll hit 100k by tomorrow afternoon.

    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I just popped into PP only to find that Tehran is closed .... and 6 of my big planes (Sequoias/Cyclones) are grounded. :( And none of my other big planes can pass-through Tehran. (grumble grumble)

Oh, I see... that makes sense. :D
Now did you figure that out using induction or deduction? I was looking this up earlier trying to figure out the difference between the two and still can't wrap my head around it.

Why do we feel compelled to do more than 50 jobs when the prize is a measly few Bux?

Maybe you can use Istanbul as a work-around.

I guess that was induction since I went from the specifics of this current global event and that I was ranked so high with 50 jobs, and expanded those numbers to make my conclusion?
Edit: I started reading more about the two, and I'd say my thoughts were probable, and not concrete, which also is a characteristic of most inductive theories. xD

Competitive spirit. Addiction. General craziness. It's even worse now with player names showing up in the leaderboard. "No way am I going to let Faye beat me this time!"

Right now I'm sitting here logged into Skype waiting for my project partner to show up, have to do something to pass the time...

Luckily I had my Tehran-bound plane stop in London first, so it didn't get stuck - I just offloaded the Tehran jobs and reloaded it with Washington & NY jobs.

If NY goes down during this event, yikes.

I adapted from SuperDuperNorth's strategy of having two routes
    1. Honolulu - LA - NY - London - Tehran - Tokyo
    2. Lima - Kinshasa - Jakarta

I think one time London was closed, and NY another time. I could re-route via Kinshasa, but I saw the additional flying time due to re-route, I decided to just leave the planes stuck than re-route. I could have re-route via Delhi or Mumbai I suppose, but didn't bother (lots of cleaning up to shut down an airport).

Means I can stop now. Anyway, I realized that I forgot to bring my iPad to work today. Means no PP until I get home tonite :p

Anyway, it's very hard to close an airport. I've been wanting to shut down DC yesterday. But when you see 7bux for DC from Tokyo (or something like that), it's really hard NOT to include it on the next flight out. And it takes 1+ hr to get there, during which more bux DC jobs crop up. So DC still remains open :(

NY did go down. And I took a break from PP. Forced breaks LOL

Jiayou coastcat. I saw you zoom past me for a few minutes.
Names make a difference. I'm seeing numbers only at the #40s - #50s. Not exactly sure where I am now. It was interesting to see you fly past even if it was only for a few min.

Not sure how to post a pic via my iPhone but finally reached the top 10 with 947 jobs. Going to bed now. Sure I'll drop overnight haha. Can't wait to start seeing some names on the leaderboard.

LOL. I'm pretty much done with DC. I'll probably drop off the Top 10 by noon tomorrow ... and it is "tomorrow" cuz "tomorrow" doesn't start until after I wake up LOL ... off to bed now :D
Mafia Wars just rolled out a new limited time event, so I'll be busy doing that during the next 16 days (plus a few other overlapping limited time events, Zynga just loves to overlap events as if none of their players has to go to work or sleep)

Yeah, apparently Zynga also loves to fire it's employees during Apple Keynotes to avoid bad press... 8-(

Woo. I just hit level 50 and 11,000 bux at about the exact same time! 1/4 of the way to my goal for 44,500 bux so I can convert it into 1. BILLION. Dollars! (pinky finger in corner of mouth)

Also, somehow I am in 3rd place for this event even though I only have 7 planes servicing DC via Chicago and NYC.

Geez, that's a lot of bux.

Yeah, it seems like not a lot of people are working it that hard, because I started out with just two roos and an Aero-P going back and forth from NY-CHI-LA and I was in the top 50, then I tried to go full blast last night, and worked my way up to the top 10.

Bonjour TLM! I'm having coffee and actually have some free time to play PP, but am not feeling very motivated...

Hahaha I'm that way too when I'm at the far ends of the earth and see a big Bux job. I've been on "profit" mode these days and only recently introduced a Bux PickerUpper plane, all it does it run around and pick up all Bux jobs. I'm thinking I should add another Sequoia for a second Bux PickerUpper.

I've been meaning to ask you about "jiayou" which I've seen you mention several times. It sounds Mandarin, and I'll take a guess that it means "add oil"?

Nice! I think I'll join in you in your quest for 44,500 Bux ... Care to race? :D

Could you share this with me too? I can't figure out how to add photo from phone. I can do it if I download the photo to computer first and post from there.

That's quite impressive with only 3 planes. :D

I too am joining all of you in the quest for 44,500 bux!! I have 8,975 at the moment with just over 1.8 million coins so I wonder if I can make it running mostly in the red like I have for the past week. Good luck to all!
