Black = 1 Blue = 1,2 Red = 1,2,3 Havn't tried this myself, but I believe that upgrading an airport will raise it to the next class, thus supporting the next class planes. Edit: and i'm late... And wrong.
can't you sale your planes? If you can just make class 2 planes so you won't have to close your class one airports?
I can sell the planes or switch them up. My question was if there really is any reason (besides the global events) to keep class 1 airports after you get the ability to get class 2 planes (with class 2 airports generally spaced further and potentially earning you more mOney if you combo)

What level do you have to be to get Pearjets? I really need them... I've enough bux to afford to buy several Pearjets and a trans-Atlantic city. 137 bux, no IAP. XD P.S. Can Pearjets make it across the Atlantic Ocean with only a few range upgrades? How many range upgrades does it take?
I'm really enjoying this game and all the chatter on Touch Arcade. I've been working on Calgary for the flight crew challenge and love how Nimblebit has included the northern lights in the night sky.
Thanks. I was holding on to the top spot for a little bit but decided to go ahead and expand. Was curious if there were certain aircraft that can only be obtained by winning events.
459 jobs to Calgary so far and still counting... So keen on the next Global Event. Probably going for 1000 jobs for it.
If the next event is not near Canada I'm screwed But on the other hand I could start grinding for money if it's not but I want to help don't get me wrong.
Personally, I've ditched all but one class 1 airport (outside global event airport) and gone down to just 2 red cities and 3 feeder blue cities and I'm doing pretty well by using layovers well to maximize my class 2 plane flights.
Ugh... More grinding. =/ At least by then I'll probably have enough bux to buy 5+ Pearjets to start off my Class 2 fleet! xD
When it became painfully obvious that we were going to win the event I backed off on my Calgary deliveries and started working towards building cash so that I can get set up for the next event as soon as it gets posted.
I'm already set. I can go anywhere in the world for the next event and setup a few airports around the event.
Same I love the little things like the whole day night cycle and how weather seems to shut down the same cities for the entire playerbase at the same time.
