I have passed on this event. Already have three starships so don't really need anymore. Actually have not even played PP since the end of the last event.
For all those who are having issues with the job counter...maybe it's a problem with your Internet connection? It won't update for me sometimes when I don't have wifi I've noticed. That sucks for all of you though, cause it bugs me and it rarely happens so I can imagine the annoyance of never getting the number to update.
I have noticed that nasty bug, too. I was stuck a 2 jobs registering for Perth for a while then it jumped to 13, 23 and then 32. It is updating for me but when it wants too. I haven't updated my app for the last update in the iTunes App store (10/11/12). I didn't want to deal with the unloading issue when clearing my larger plane. *Sigh* I like this game. I just want improvements not minor bugs that futz with game play.
They have corrected the unload load buttons on the latest update. The global event counter has always been delayed to an extent. What I've been experiencing was a complete loss of jobs. I sent well over 200 jobs and only got credited for 40...
Weird. I decided late last night to stop sending layovers to Jakarta and finish delivering what was already there. Had six or seven fully-loaded Kangaroos in the air, checked the job count... later on, when I went to close Perth and store the Kangas, the job count was the same. So are your jobs counted when they take off or when they land? I've slipped to #12 now, with two other TA regulars showing on the leaderboard. JH has passed me already, and Faye is zooming up the chart! (but I'm happy working the Chick-Con in Dallas right now) Okay, is it just me, or... some of my individual events claim to run 24 hours and others 12 hours. But in reality they all seem to end in 12 hours, as I've found when setting up layovers for a 24-hour event and finding that it's gone when the new 12-hour events pop up. Right now I have an Elvis convention (Port Moresby) and science fair (Beirut) that are supposed to end in 17 hours and the Chick-Con scheduled to end in 5 hours. I'm pretty sure that in 5 hours the convention and fair will also be replaced. Are others seeing this? I don't think this has always been the case...
Hey coast, was wondering why I wasn't seeing you in the top ten with me I have noticed the same thing with the events, I swear some end after 12 when it says 24 when it begins.
I've seen that several times already. Some of the events listed as 24 hours duration really do last 24 hours, but I've also had several that disappear at 12 despite being listed as 24.
That's reassuring. I was starting to think I'd forgotten how to tell time! I'm content to slip further down the ranks - this week is loaded with meetings and there's not enough time to babysit a fleet of Mohawks. I hope the next event is a blue or red city!
Hey BlueBear88, I see what you mean. THAT is highly frustrating. I have had that happen and it cost me an event. I hope that specific issue is fixed immediately.

I'm seeing the same thing too. Very weird. I don't remember this from before the 1.05 update. Also, did the miles get tweeked during the 1.05 update? All of a sudden the mileage on individual planes jumped up significantly. Matt
Yea they corrected the miles in the plane histories. Before I had sent my blimp on a million mile flight and its history only showed a fraction, but after the update it matches the mileage shown in Gamecenter.
Just closed Perth, ranked somewhere around 125. I didn't put a lot into this event, just 2 roos and a mapple. Mostly for bux jobs. Willing to bet the next event is bux only......
Hi, I was just wondering if the Mapple planes will start appearing in your market after you get them from a trade from someone else? Or does it just appear in only the Mac PP market. And PP crashes every time I receive a part. Hope they fix this bug soon
I am not doing much this event, so I haven't been keeping track. But I know for the last two events Bordeaux and Ottawa, the last hour or so's planes are NOT credited. Those were very short trips (round trip 6-9 min) and I know the planes landed because I received the mystery parts. It was extra because the event ended at 3+ am (my time). MAPPLE !!!! LOL, jonesy, I'm sure that word earned you a lot of PMs and mapple requests. Will Mapple show on non-Mac markets after receiving one? If so, we can help to populate Mapple planes. I get the crash bug too -- one crash per part received. And also random crashes here and there. A few crashes were so serious that PP refused to start up and I had to reboot my iPad

XD I've noticed that the crashes are much more prevalent now, they were very bad during Ottawa, just before the updates, although that was the most time I ever spent constantly playing the game lol. However, I haven't ran into any crashes yet which require me to restart my phone, but I'm sure I will soon since I said so
I got a mapple after trading, and i've been trying to monitor the market ever since. But i haven't seen any mapple part. Bluebear, you can definitely get a mapple by trading at the trade forum! There are a couple of people who are trading mapples away.
I'm down to just 350 or so bux right now!!!! And floating just above a million coins for almost 2 months. I stopped playing for profit over a month ago so bux I spent experimenting with cloudliners and rearranging planes for world events has cost me thousands. Finally decided to set up a profit route again though so hoping to get back into the swing of things...!
Emptying my cities of Perth layovers. Ready for the next event! Perth was ok in the end. I am in the top 25-ish and I made over 6000 bux.
