I'm not even going to open Perth for this event as I already have the starship. I was hoping for a P-40, Huey, or Sea Knight part (I got to the game too late to get these full planes). If anyone has a Huey engine, Sea Knight controls, or P-40 engine or body laying around I sure could use them. The only thing I have to trade is 12 Blimps plus extra Blimp body's and control's or any non rare plane part or plane that you need. I'm at level 33 and have a bunch of parts and planes in storage. Grats Faye get #1 for Bordeaux (spelling?) event. I only sent two kangeroos for that from Paris. I probably end something like #5x or so. For most of the time, I only see numbers, though ytd for a short time, I had a glimpse of SlightlyNorth slightly north of me LOL. I want to ask if anyone has crash prob with PP on iPad 2? Old version PP crashes now and then; I simply restart it. But with the new version, PP sometimes just show the title page (the big Pocket Planes sign with silver wings on either side), and then crashes. Killing the app doesn't resolve the problem. I'd have to reboot my iPad 2 and start PP again. Didn't have time to touch PP until now. I'm a lonely 12 jobs at #352 for perth event ..... BlueBear: Perth is just beside Kargoolie. How about a twin hub of Perth-Kargoolie ? hmm ... Is it better to take the long round trip from Jakarta - Perth, or just set up smaller cities to Perth?
Oh I'm just goofing about Kalgoorlie lol I know it will be a global event sometime so if I guess every time eventually I'll be correct lol I'm gonna use Jakarta, but I'm in no big rush. I will get the goal for the starship part and then focus on doing the gc achievement in Tiksi. Edit: Jakarta is 1h 15m round trip for a fully upgraded blimp, my Mohawks make the trip in 28m. I'm still looking to trade for Mapples if anyone has access to them, name your price and I'll see what I can do
Hahahahahaha I just started and have delivered 10 jobs, giving me rank #490! I don't plan to make Top 10 on this one, very busy in real life, I'm out today (girls' day out). My big planes still doing long distance profit runs. Right now I only have a few AeroEagles seeking Perth jobs, and a few Roos taking them to Perth. I'm doing the 20 min job from Jakarta to Perth because Jakarta can hold more layovers. I didn't see any great advantage over choosing Melbourne, which is also 20 min away and holds less layovers (class 2). And any surrounding class 1 cities prolly won't generate too many Perth jobs, even with advertising?
I've got a mohawk, Huey, starship, seaking and 2 blimps. The only events that interest me now will be for the balloon or the Kringle. Other than for those, I am almost out of reasons to play. I am level 30 with 21 planes. Currently working on achievements, but it's no fun trying to ferry 100 jobs to tiny, out of the way, class 1 locations.
Woo hoo, I finished at #200 for the Bordeaux event! I'm aiming for top 20 this time around - feeding Perth jobs into Jakarta with the usual assortment of Kangas and Mohawks for final deliveries. Very tempted to sidetrack with the tourist boom in Alice Springs because I miss flying around Australia!
Are the leaderboards even updating today? Mine hasn't updated at all... Edit: I've sent 110 jobs to Perth, and it has counted only 15... This is messed up. I think it is not counting the jobs when I send the plane on a full round trip and do not stop in Perth. I started stopping in Perth now, this shouldn't be the problem as I used this method for the last blimp event successfully, but I hope this solves the problem because otherwise I'm out of ideas... I'm seeing red at this point, if it is because of the round trip flights I will probably stop playing altogether because it is too much a pain in my ass to deal with flying each plane back individually.
LOL Faye, I just woke up, and I am #697 with 27 jobs, surrounded by other 27 jobs. Jiayou coastcat! Did you start from Australia or something ? Kudos to you if you did, I imagine it was a tough starting with with red city in another country (jakarta). Bluebear: roundtrip jobs are counted. my 12 jobs were round trips. I'm counting on bluebear and coastcat and Faye (who always managed to emerged in top 10 even in the midst of girl's day, random leisure trips to global event city). Jiayou all
xD I'm just beyond frustrated with the game at the moment and needed to vent lol At this point I've send 200 jobs, half round trip and half I stopped in Perth, but still only a lame 25 jobs counted.
I'm still missing about 150 jobs it has updated threes times all day. I managed to get just over 2200 jobs in Ottawa over 3 days but apparently I've only sent 38 in all in the past 8-10 hours lol I'll stop complaining here, if it doesn't change I'll make a formal report and email it to their support I guess.
