The value of the bux jobs is dependent on the distance the passenger/cargo travels, just like the amount of coins per P/C.
Hmmmm ... I don't know offhand which cat I have on my MacBook Pro. Not sure installing it there would be a good idea, it will eat into my Mafia Wars time (Facebook game I play on laptop).
Got Mac version. One thing shocks me..I'm at level 34...all of a sudden I can build 73 airports? Tell me this is a bug...
Yes, I tried that last night (sorry forgot to include that in the list of things I tried). Also tried changing HTTP Proxy from off to auto, just to see if that made any difference.
The latest update for all devices changed the number of airports you can up from (Level +5) to 2(Level+5). So yeah. I can build 101 airports now.
Wow Faye, you are #16 !!! And with random minimum effort? I am like # a few hundred my iPad battery went flat (PP until flat). Edit: I'm at #85 and nokitano is at #83. So nice to see a familiar face LOL at being able to connect to wifi and coffee shop.
D'oh, almost had a moment an hour ago, because I am trying to get the hacking cheat for pocket planes, and I did not manage to get it as RedSnow only does up to version 5 on ipod touches I think, and i updated my ipod to version 6 about 3-4 weeks ago now, and the one thing I hate about it is not been able to see the newest released games. Anyway I stupidly decided to restore my ipod to see if it would go back a version, and it didn't and along with that I deleted Pocket Planes. I was thinking what the hell have I done, so I re installed it again, and it was at the same part I left it at thank goodness. I have a very big month in music concerts coming up next month. On November 17 I am seeing The Killers at the 02 arena, London, then exactly a week later I am seeing Robbie Williams there too. What an amazing line up don't you guys agree.
I'm not sure why they made that change. I can't even imagine how the gameplay would work with a hundred airports. I'm level 45 with 18 airports (17 permanent class 3, mostly all fully upgraded plus 1 for the current global event) and my job lists are nicely manageable.
No kindness from me this time, I haven't touched the game since last night! I've got a bunch of layovers to deliver, and then I'm going to try the Tiksi achievement again. Despite the slackness, I'm still at #170 with only 87 jobs - guess it takes mystery parts to spark the "must play!" reaction. Bux payments, like coin payments, relate to distance. When you can run LA to Tokyo, you'll pick up jobs for 9 Bux. I like those! What's your GameCenter ID? I can send you a plane or two that will make the cross-Atlantic journey. WOOT!!!! I'm back in business, I've got wifi again at home. I cannot explain what happened, maybe it just wanted a day off. I just checked my Mac ... I'm at 10.6.8. Boo. Airports? Or Airplane slots? I thought we could buy as many airports as we liked. And I thought the level+5 (before latest upgrade) was the max number of airplane slots we could buy ... as if we had enough coins to max out on those LOL. I was #610 when I looked yesterday. LOL Ok, now that I have wifi again, I'm going to casually work my way up the leaderboard... Free wifi should be everywhere. I can find it in Starbucks (coffee), Safeway (supermarket), Target (store), Barnes & Noble (bookstore) and library. So I was sitting in Starbucks earlier and looked around... everybody there had one or more of the following items being used or sitting on table: laptop, ipad/tablet, smart phone.
Don't forget some McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts. I'll work at Panera Bread sometimes (good salads). But mostly I'm at one of several Starbucks to do my work! And, er, I've been known to have two shiny devices on hand... playing PP while taking a break from writing. So far PP is working nicely on the Mac (I'm running Mountain Lion) although I need to turn off notifications; I've downloaded today's bug fix release for the phone version but haven't played it yet. EDIT: I spoke way, way too soon. PP on the Mac has crashed 4 times so far. The first time it wiped out everything I had done since launching it, gah. I like the bigger playing screen, but the stability is even worse than the phone version. Not good.
How to complete local events? Hi Everyone! I love this game, but only if I'm able to complete a local event (otherwise I don't see the point of just flying randomly) I tried to complete a local event at the start of the game but the best I could do after 16 hrs was 29/1000 with 8 hrs left to go. There was no way I'm going to complete a 1000 local event by myself. I've tried everything: -advertise at the airport that was holding the local event so that more goods can be flown there. -I bought bought more cargo planes to transport goods at a faster rate -I bought more surrounding airports so that they would have more goods to transport to the local event airport -I searched Google -I searched this thread Please help! All I want to do is complete one local event to another. I'm not interested in completing global events. If any of you have ever completed a local event by yourself please tell me how. I can't do it on either android or iOS.
Don't worry about there being only 8 hrs left. The local events repeat themselves, but at different cities. It will still count the total number of jobs you deliver to that event, even though you deliver to different cities. Matt
So is it true that the bugs are all fixed? I haven't upgraded yet due to all the bugs that everyone's been posting about. I might have a problem. When i start PP after being away for a while my coin, bux and levelcounter says 0. It lasts for about 10-15 seconds before everything is ok. It also shuts down when i try to load to many planes. Have anyone had the same problem?
