Is anyone certain how the global event prizes work? I was killing myself trying to crack the top 100 for TA crew (I got a late start ) because I assumed the prize tiers were within the winning crew, but I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna make it now. However from what I'm reading here, it sounds like some people are saying everyone in the winning crew gets the top prize. That can't be right can it?
Everyone in the winning crew gets top prize if they contributed at least 5 jobs to the Calgary event. Edit: was too sloooooow
oh wow lol I really wanted to get to the 100 tier so I've been playing like crazy. Did like 120 jobs but still #341.
Just giving a shutout to Dani Rudolph from Nimblebit who is dealing with so many people's bugs and still managed to take the time and read my long post about the issue I had on their support forum. Even offered to go some way in helping me restore some of what was lost. Thumbs up to you if you read this! So I saved up enough money to get Los Angles (10.0M). Currently I have United States San Francisco (4.3M) Phoenix (4.2M) Seattle (4.0M) San Diego (3.1M) Salt Lake City (1.1M) Canada Calgary (1.1M) planning to sell the airport when event is over Just wondering if I should sell San Diego, LA is pretty close to it and I only have 5 planes that could use some upgrade.
Well il say this which I think might help. It might be a good idea to keep the ability to slap some airports down on an ad-hoc basis for when the next world event comes around, so having that airport slot not taken up could be good.
Also do you have to keep the Calgary airport until the event is over in order to receive the bux? Did 130 jobs so I'm good.
This game has its hooks in deep in me, much like Tiny Tower did, but this a much more stimulating and thinking exercise than TT was. Like others have mentioned, I expect the next global event to occur on a different continent. I am very much interested in seeing if crew TA can maintain such a strong showing as the first event. PP excels on so many levels!
After you get the ability to get class 2 planes, wouldn't it be more efficient (ignore global Calgary event) to just have a couple of class 2 airports so that you are basically guaranteed the bonus of sending to the same airport? I have class 2 Seattle being serviced with class 1 Vancouver and Calgary. Other side I have class 2 detroit and class 1 Ottawa and montreal. I was thinking of closing vancouver and Ottawa but now wonder Igbo should just close all the class 1 airports (assume ignoring global Calgary event)
How do you know which class aircraft is supported by which airport before you buy it? Is there a way to get a Class 1 airport to eventually support class 2 and 3 planes?
Class 1 Airport (Gray) - Class 1 Planes Class 2 Airport (Blue) - Class 1 & Class 2 Planes Class 3 (Red) - Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 Planes You can't upgrade a lower class airport to support a higher class of planes then it supports. So for example a Class 1 airport can't be upgraded to handle a Class 3 plane.
