To bad i feel asleep and lost about 2 hours during the event. How many planes did you send to Ottawa? Did you boost your planes?
Some one please help. I have delivered one of the gold cargo as part of the nee event on Ottawa. Now, my game has stopped working. any ideas?
I'm not sure what's up but first thing I would try is to close the app out of the background running or even just restart the whole device...
Dude, nice work. add me GC Vic Sark And here are a few summary tips for the global events newbies: Fully upgrade the event airport (Ottawa). Advertise the airport all the time. Buy the closest(s) class 3 airport(s) (NY, Chicago...) park Ottawa layovers in there from around the world. Make round trips with the class 1 planes from the class 3 airports to Ottawa and back if you want to go faster. Push the trips forward using Bux if you want too (under 10 min. trip costs 1 Bux). A good way to pick up mistery parts (only cargo) is to leave a C plane in your big cities and check at each refresh if there is one and store it. Don't forget you can trade your spare parts in the PP trade forum! and leave your GC here if you want to see the other TA members in the leaderboards
You guys have been busy! I was in thr Top 10 when i went to bed. I've been too busy to play so when I finally opened up PP today I found myself ranked #145!!! I don't know if I'll ever catch up. Vic: Great summary for the newbies.
Canada's Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. One year I spent Canadian Thanksgiving on a ferry running up the British Columbia coast (eating turkey), and then the American Thanksgiving in Toronto (not eating turkey). Very surreal. Even though I usually enjoy this kind of event with the layovers and the endless Kangaroos/Mohawks shuttling jobs around (I have South America feeding into Chicago and Europe/Asia into NY), I'm feeling a little bored with it already. It might just be a general rainy-day ennui, though. Chocolate would help.
I dont care to much about profit during the events. Just loadcounts. Its ok to lose 50k. In this event i earned about 700k. I sent all my planes from Ottawa to NY back empty and most of flights from London to NY was sent back empty, or with whatever i had going back.
Ahhh... That's how you deliver so many jobs. My planes are full when they leave NY for Tokyo (and other surrounding Asian cities). I lose coins sending empty planes back from Ottowa to NY, but make it up with my long distance runs.
Does upgrading an airport give you more jobs TO the airport or just more jobs coming FROM the airport. I thought advertising was only way to increase the number of jobs that show up for the event city (and not having too many extra cities open).
Ok, I'm in #2 with 1473, who is right behind me with 1371? Slightynorth is gaining on them though with 1316.....
Even though I'm not doing this event because of bad timing, why don't you load your plane full of jobs going to Ottawa, tap Ottawa, and go back to the city it originated from or go to another one? I mean, if you have 20 planes assaulting on Ottawa, obviously there's not gonna be enough jobs to send all of them back, even with the airport fully upgraded. Especially if your using a plane that never loses profit no matter what. Just I thought....
I love these events, especially when I get to kick it into high gear to rack up the job count, but dangit, this is cutting into my tank killing on World of Tanks
If I advertise in Ottawa, it will increase the number of Ottawa jobs in other airports. If I upgrade Ottawa's airport, it will increase the number of jobs (and layover slots) listed in Ottawa going to other cities. So advertising increases jobs TO the city, upgrading the airport increases jobs FROM the city. At #22 right now, just a handful of jobs ahead of hichrich!
Right, that's why since I always fly round trips to event locations I don't ever upgrade the event airport.
