So I've tried to scour this thread but I can't seem to find out; how exactly does xp work? Does anyone know like, the exact factors which makes up how much you'll get for a flight - e.g is it similar to money? I'm trying to investigate but there's always so much going on so hard to know... I realize that I might be missing something very obvious here.
XP = amount of money received after arriving at your destination. I'm not sure how many coins equals one XP, though. Edit: Did a quick test on my iPhone - 1 coin ~ 2XP
I had the parts for a wallaby, built the plane, spent the 3 bucks, where did it go? Built 2 of them...
They should be at empty airports you own. Click the map, choose a vacant airport and your plane should be waiting.
Found a bug... Just downloaded and was playing on my iphone last night... I was trying to rename one of my planes when my 10% battery warning came up; screen went a bit wonky and I was unable to get back into the text editing mode, though apparently the rename screen was still active. Closed and restarted the game, same conditions were there for a second before the game crashed. Once I restarted this time, everything was back to normal and I was able to rename the plane. Nothing catastrophic, but in case anybody else has come across this I figured I'd post it. Happened on the latest version of the game (update that came out Friday.) .
Just brainstorming.... With just over 8 hours left on our current TA event in Calgary...I've intentionally saved 4 Airport slots to possibly plan ahead. Should I: A) Save the slots, wait for the current event to be over and build the new airports closer to where the next Global Event is (i.e. my initial base is in West North America and is expanded into mid Mid North America) so I can participate in the next event as well as be able to expand the two regions overtime? B) Just keep expanding into the Atlantic and work my way east? This would allow longer flights initially as I expand further so I should be able to make more money now and have to check on the game less with longer flights. I should have just enough in cash to buy two small, and 2 mid size airports, and enough bux saved for two to three new planes (given I scrap one of my older planes). Any thoughts are appreciated.
You don't need to save the slots, you can buy new airports now and close them later if you need to change airports for events. You only get 1/2 the cash back when you close them though.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what layovers are??? Every time I load someone on the plane, and then load them off, it says layover? Also how do you get so much jobs done for the Calgary event? I've only got 25.. Thanks
Layovers happen when you drop someone off somewhere that isn't their destination. For example, some dude is going to Los Angeles, but you drop him off at Chicago airport. That becomes a layover. The guy stays in that airport until you pick him up again. I believe layovers become useful when you can use it correctly to build combos of people. Edit: You can do the same with cargo.
True, but I'm pretty patient, and every coin/bux counts for me as I haven't spent a dime in IAP. I've thought out all my steps, airports, and planes so far and it's (I feel) helped out a lot outside of following this thread and others experiences. My above post is what I'm currently brainstorming and just wanted to get others perspectives before choosing a, b, or something that may be a more efficient route that I have thought of?
I would go with wait until this event is over. It's only a few hours now. Chances are the next event will be in Europe or something and you won't be able to efficiently expand there unless you're willing to open and close airports, so you'll probably just end up expanding your current area, but it can't hurt to wait a few hours and see.
Spend it! Spend it alllll ahahahahaha (evil laugh) No seriously id wait until the new event-iv just bought LA which is awesome and soooooo full! Surrounding airports dOnt seem to wanna send stuff there tho...
Thanks, looks like I'll wait it out until the next event at the very least and see what I'll do from there. Looking forward to it because it'll be what I consider my 1st major upgrade/expansion in the game. EDIT: Is the Kangaroo-M worth getting? 2P/2C slots, good range, good cargo weight, but 125mph. Sounds pretty slow, but the slots/distance/weight seem to make up for the speed. What do you think?
Im loving this game so far. I started in Detroit and am starting to expand out into Canada first. Have 50k in coins and 23 buxs, joined the flight crew to. I just one question to ask is it better to buy the cheaper airports first then go for the expensive ones or vice versa?
i bought several cheaper airports to get the income flowing and am now starting to grab class 2 ports around north america
Thanks now I just need for that stupid thunderstorm to stop in goose bay it's really hindering me right now
