Operating from Europe I bought Manchester, Belfast, Rekyavik, Nuuk, Goose Bay, Thunder bay, Calgary and upgraded to 5x Kangaroos (8 planes in total). Probably the hard way to do it! BTW bought 200 bux right away. Gotta go just reached level 8.
My wife just saved up all her coins to buy Tehran, only to discover that it's closed due to fog for the next six hours. LOL It's cool that these events (snow, fog etc.) appear to be globally shared among everyone.
Ah, thanks. When I go to the event status page it only says the event type, not the city, so that would make sense. I hope the rewards are decent. I am 1/10 of the way done with the Tourist Boom event so far. Routing all my planes through Calgary and Oaxaca right now.
Hey so did I. Only because they didn't have any NZ airports as a starting airport. Not sure if I can shift my starting airport over. Now to break into the Calgary event thing I just saved an airport slot until I leveled up. I then ditched one of my airports as I was at max level and brought Calgary & Edmonton. It's a fairly short run so when I run empty (as you do sometimes) I just try to catch one big coin on the way there to offset the cost to fly back to Edmonton. I found I sometimes had to fly back to Edmonton to get another event qualifying fare (these are ones in blue) I have a few airports in South Australia as wel as NZ. It's all about saving up your bux to upgrade the range of your planes as well as using your smaller planes to que up lay overs at the boundary airports. As well as keeping an eye out for matching parts on the Market for planes that have a long flight range - you can build planes cheaper this way.
So far this game is amazing I can't put it down and I have 6 planes. Can't wait to see my airportsw expand and eventually circle the gobe but for now I'm stuck on the western coast of the US
Devils advocate : Who's to say the guys at the top 4 didn't use stolen credit cards to pay for a ton of iAP ? Because when you think about IAP and how far someone can get using it your limited by thinking "how much is this person willing to spend". So you intrinsically limit the amount of money someone can possibly spend on in app purchases making attaining level 96 or w/e level in 2 days a seemingly impossible task. What if money wasn't an object ? What if they had a nearly unlimited supply of Bux. What then ? How far and how fast can someone level ? As of this writing you can pay $24.99 for 1000 Bux and $49.99 for 5000 Bux. How far do you think that gets someone with everything Bux can be used to fast track in this game ?
I just built a class 2 plane without realizing it. It can only land at cities with colored dots. I think I'm going to decommission it for a while - it's just too limiting for my current empire.
I closed down all of my class 1 airports after getting my final Birchcraft. I'm making more money with less (3) class 2 planes rather than more (4) class 1 craft.
Saving up and not doing much expanding till after Calgary event so that I have funds to get to wherever. Hoping that the reward is for all toucharcade crew (I'm about 100th). However if we all get 100 BUX then I think it will make it even easier for us to win the next and next and next event etc. If this is the case, I suggest capping number of team members on a crew (lets say 100) and after every event, all crew names become invalid for the next event. In our case we could just have teams called toucharcade1 and toucharcade2 etc. Or NB has another work around or doesn't see this as a problem or I don't understand the rewards system.
Got enough to buy Los Angeles-shall i get it?? The number 1 on gamecenters obviously hacked the game-you could do it on Falldown on Jailbroken devices
The first event ended quickly and the number 1 spot won a plane... So if Nimblebit dont like Toucharcade winning all the time they could just lower the prize
Dunno if this has been mentioned, but I really don't like how you cannot fly trans-pacific. In reality, when you are flying from America to Central/Easter Asia, you would normally take a plane from a major hub on the West Coast, to what usually is Tokyo. Then you would fly wherever you wanted in the Easter Hemisphere. You need a plane that has a large enough fuel tank, but overall it takes much less money and time than going through Europe and the Middle-East. I would very much like this to be added.
If you play around with the in-game map, you'll notice that you can't scroll from the Americas to East Asia. So no as of this version, you can't connect japan to North America.
Yeah, I saw that but wasn't sure. That's lame, I was going to start in Asia cause everybody was doing NA, but I decided against it.
As Simon Cowell said less than two months ago on Britains Got Talent about Ashleigh and Pudsey, 'This Is What I Have Been Looking For All My Life', so far I have 9 planes, and 11 cities Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Prague, Riga, Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow, Trondheim, Lulea, and Brussels. I am going to be level 9 and adding my 12th city very shortly. This is going to keep me addicted for years I think, especially as I live so close to London Gatwick. I hope there are updates with even more airports and cities to unlock. There is only one problem with it for me, and that is only been able to unlock one airport per level but that could be because I am still only on level 8. I am going to enjoy unlocking and upgrading absolutely everything.
