    Level 47 you have a total of 52 airports available and I am currentlt using 27 planes and the 28th slot = 8,319,900
    AND you need 10,700,00+ EXP to get to Level 48

    I tried to sneak past coastcat who woke up and roared past me :p LOL

    Anyway I want to celebrate that I'm finally lvl 22 and splurging my bux on my first sequoia parts. :D

    Faint (we need a faint smilies). 8,319,900 coins. I don't even have 10% of that! I think now I am most in need of coins to open plane slots :(

    BTW, are the events/weather at cities kind of fixed? Yesterday Manila was shut down due to bad weather (can't remember which weather). Now it's shut down again. I'm thinking of closing Manila airport, but I have one plane grounded there :(

    I'm dreaming of an N-slot plane where it doesn't matter whether it's a person or cargo as long as there are N person/cargo. That would probably make the game too easy ....

    Once you set up a long route with plenty of sequoias you will start raking in coins plus, when you can start saving up bux again that's another great source of coins via exchanging large sums of bux.

    I think the half days in events is to allow different time zones to have an event start during the day rather than the middle of the night. Can't see that changing.

    I want to scream. Pocket Planes weather is wreaking havoc in the Asian cities tonight !!! First, Manila was closed for an hour. Then Seoul (grounding my areoeagle). And now Beijing !!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

    I finally lvl 22, got my first Sequoia, set up my route from Tokyo to New York (yes, crossing London New York). Queued up my New York layovers nicely at Beijing, getting ready to fly them to London. And just as I was abt to gather my planes to fly to London, I see Beijing in red words !!! And to top it all, it grounded 4 of my planes (for a 14 plane fleet, this is a LOT). I'm so hopping mad ! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

    Is it time to speculate on the next event city, because we're so darned sick of this one?

    My guess: a class 2 in Europe. St. Petersburg, perhaps?

    Finishing up my last set of jobs and then averting my eyes until 3pm.

    Current top 10:

    1 = 9385 (Slightlynorth, how the heck did you manage that job count, wow!)
    2 = 5356
    3 = 4764
    4 = 4463
    5 = 3948 (Faye)
    6 = 3454
    7 = 3323
    8 = 3169
    9 = 2754 (me, with a final quartet of planes still in the air)
    10 = 2605

    CastlePage was pretty close to the top ten, too.

    That sounds probable. They'll probably choose a Class 1 or Class 2 (although they've done two Class 3 cities back to back once before). I'm getting burnt out on these events, may have to sit out the next one, or just do the minimum required and be a freeloader. :D

    20 more minutes left on Tokyo, here's the current Top 10:

    1. 9719 (slightlynorth)
    2. 8594
    3. 4858
    4. 4463
    5. 4112 (me)
    6. 3578
    7. 3323
    8. 3169
    9. 2847 (coastcat)
    10. 2605

    Sounds like you've got a good system for delivering Tokyo jobs.

    I'd skip the Fogbusters. I definitely prefer Aeroeagles and Sequoias.

    You can build level+5 plane slots. So at level 48, I can have up to 53 plane slots. No, I don't have that many, it would cost too much! Right now I have 28 planes, and the next plane slot will cost 9,792,125 coins. I don't really need more plane slots. It is already a lot of work trying to keep all my planes in the air.

    It is important to save up coins & Bux in the earlier levels. Try to get the 25% bonus on all of your flights. I even did this for my planes going to Tokyo, just wait till they're all full with Tokyo jobs. The Sequoias are slow but will bring in a nice profit. Try not to waste all your Bux on doing all the plane upgrades. Upgrade 3x weight. Hold off on range/fuel upgrades unless you absolutely need to in order to reach your destination. I skip the speed upgrade; this upgrade will lower your flight time at the cost of profit.

    Edited to add: Biz Meeting in Riyadh ... where is that?
    Edited to add: Found Riyadh ... not a very challenging location.

    I like the class 1 events with a jump city between closest class 3 airport and the destination. Another Australia, South Africa, or Siberia.

    I wonder why did they remove events with mystery parts. All we get is mostly bux now :/

    Seaknight Engine?

    Is anyone willing to trade a Seaknight Engine? I have an extra Bobcat engine that I'm willing to trade. Thanks.

    The forum ate up two of my posts :( I clicked submit which ended in a blank page. Let's see if this is successful.

    Just got my reward for Tokyo event. :)

    I'm now thinking how to arrange my fleet for this new event. Any ideas? I'm kind of lost what to focus on. I think the Easter Island (my first event I think) was the most fun as I just focused on pushing all the blue worded passengers/cargo to the left of the world map. Tokyo was the opposite, pushing them to the right. This map is kind of in the middle, so I'm a bit lost which cities' passengers/cargoes to focus on.

    Thank you Teodor for the sequoia parts :)

    Mystery Parts?

    I am a level 31 and have complete numerous Global Events, but I have yet to see a single Mystery part in any of the events I have completed. Does anyone have any tips on how I can better my odds of finding these during an event? And, do they only appear during events that have special aircraft parts available as a prize? Thanks.

    The reason we probably aren't getting interesting events is because Global Events were suppose to be a competitive feature in the game but now it's just one flight crew dominating all the events

    I started off in Asia (because of the close proximity of the red cities), and has just expanded west to Chicago/New York in the last day of the Tokyo event. I had sequoias bringing Tokyo passengers/cargo from Chicago/New York to London, and then Pearjets and areoeagles bringing them from London to Beijing/Guangzhou etc. London was the interchange, and I had a huge congestion of layovers from both sides despite having upgraded the airport once.

    Teodor2004 shared a 2 city strategy for Riyadha (one catering to east, one catering to the west) which make me think about the following:
    What if I use Paris to layover those heading westward, and London to layover those heading eastward? Is this a good strategy? It will require one range upgrade of Sequoias to reach Paris from Chicago, and planes will have to hop between London and Paris to make the loop.

    Looking forward to hear your opinions.

    I noticed that when I did that global event my job counter for the event counted more jobs than my achievement page did. I believe the global event was counting outgoing events as well as incoming. I'd recommend sending more jobs in and see if that fixes it. If you closed the city you will have to send another 100 jobs though because gc starts the count over then.

    It's a very good strategy. I've also done this with Istanbul/Tehran, but it's much cheaper to hop between London/Paris. I fill Sequoias in LA/NY with jobs destined for Tokyo/Shanghai, and fill Cyclones in Tokyo/Shanghai for NY/LA. The Sequoias dropped off in Paris, filled up with London jobs (if I'm not impatient), hopped to London, and loaded up with jobs dropped off there by the Cyclones. I tried this with LA/Mexico City, but for some reason it takes ages to fill planes in Mexico City. You can also add some smaller cities to the mix if you're feeling adventurous; fill Aeros in Honolulu with jobs destined for Asian cities.

    You can also do this with a South America-Asia route by using a pair of India Class 3 cities (Kolkata and Dhaka) - the Sequoias make the long run from Rio and Lima, while your Aeroeagles handle the Asian cities.

    Once you get those big planes, your money-making options really expand!
    For this event, I'm dropping off Riyadh jobs in Delhi. Aeros grab those jobs, deliver them, then pick up Asia & North America jobs in Riyadh and drop them off in Karachi to ensure the big planes go home fully loaded. I need to make a lot of cash to purchase additional plane slots, so I'm not planning to work the event too hard. (yeah, I know, but I mean it this time...)
