GOOD LORD! WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING TIM!?!?! https://twitter.com/timrudolph/status/251000935487254528/photo/1
Even with plane boosting using unlimited Bux through JB, and using a clock adjust trick, that's dedication lol ! the fact that he jumped suddenly from 500 to 1100 jobs could indicate an iPhone in plane mode and the time adjust trick, to avoid communication with PP servers. And then the iPhone back on the net to update? Also, what's the point in cheating? everyone got the same prize, and nobody knows who he/she is here on TA forums? I'm a bit surprised they don't tease more on future updates on their Twitter feeds. Apparently PP isn't a big moneymaker, less than TT. I hope they'll support the game as long as they did with TT with updates
Anybody got Controls/Engine for Fogbuster/Cyclone M? I can send you a full seq for the two pieces to complete a plane...
I have the two bodies and a set of controls for the Fogbuster M. I'll watch the market and send them to you if you need it. I really could use a seq, so let me know...
***Sunny Outlook Post*** Based on what I've seen lately, I'm hoping for some excitement to be injected into this game. 1. Three global events in a row that included plane parts as part of the prize. Let's hope this is the new standard. (and a mix in of a whole plane would be great) 2. The global event is a Robot Uprising. The global event is something that is not an exisiting 15 bux event. This leads to the next point. 3. Via Twitter, the makers have said a new update is almost ready. This will most likely mean new 15 bux events (like Robot Uprising), new planes (see below) and who knows what else. Keep up the good work Nimblebit. Screen shot from @timrudolph, one of the game's developers. He calls it his X10 Mapple Pro
Coast! Thanks for the engine. That got my very first Aero airborne. I think I might just open a couple cities around Tokyo and just get my 50 jobs for the event because all of my current cities are in NA and can't afford to truly cross the Atlantic yet.
You're welcome! For the Tokyo event, I have a few long-distance runs just to cover my losses on other routes but most of my job numbers are coming from red cities within an easy flight - Manila (which has an individual event going on, too), Seoul, Shenyang, and Shanghai. Xi'an, Guangzhou, and Beijing are other red-city options, and if you're using Mohawks, the blue Class 2 cities like Taipei and Harbin will fill those planes quickly.
You're way ahead of me on the Leaderboard this time. I've only delivered 137 jobs. Maybe I'll step it up a bit tomorrow. I don't understand why people do that. People do that in another game I play, and I wonder why do they bother to play at all? I'm not sure if you're looking for controls and engines for both those planes , or if you are just looking for Fogbuster-M control and Cyclone-M engine. I have a Fogbuster-M engine if that is the flavor you want.
You better step it way up then. I'm already up to 2332 jobs delivered! I figured with No_Kitano out of commission for this one I might as well go all in:
Holy multitudes, Batman! How many planes do you have in flight there? LOL you have a good point there about going all in while you can. Have you surpassed that unknown player who was #1? Most of my big planes are currently doing the regular LA-Tokyo route and just added the Lima-Tokyo route (after re-opening Lima for Easter Island) ... so my turnaround time is quite a bit longer.
Time for my two cents on the event... I think Tokyo was a bad idea, its too close to other Class 3 cities and is C3 itself. This just makes it too easy to deliver thousands of jobs. Why offer a Sea Knight part, why not the whole plane because it makes it impossible for everyone to get said plane, as we need to trade to acquire other parts. @Faye, how has naming your planes helped your airline?
I expect an astronomical job count by the end of this event for that reason. They offered a full Sea Knight plane in a much earlier event, and also another event for the Sea Knight part. It's usually a full plane on first introduction, and then only parts in events after the first. I name and color code my planes. It helps me find planes in a long list of planes. Planes are named by destination, region, home city, long distance route or plane type. I sometimes color code planes by their regional base, route, or purpose. I leave the Blimp color alone though, cuz they're so large and uniquely shaped. It's very easy to zero in on them on my plane list. I tend to paint event planes white. Name/color convention is dynamic; they will all change by the end of the week. The naming convention I use helps me identify which jobs to put on the plane. All my planes might end up all grouped together in one corner of the world if I did not do this, and that would be a bad thing. Right now I have 6 big planes doing LA-Tokyo, they are named: USA1, USA2, USA3, USA4, USA5 and USA6. (yeah very boring) I have 2 big planes doing Lima-Tokyo, they're named: SA1 and SA2. So when these planes are in Tokyo, I know to load USA jobs on the USA# planes and South America jobs on the SA# planes. These are all randomly painted at the moment, however I could have color coded the USA planes blue and the SA planes red ... it would make it quick and easy to eyeball the plane list to find my regional planes. Blimps for the Easter Island event were named by plane type: BL1, BL2, etc. Aeroeagles for the Tokyo event are named by event city: TOK1, TOK2, etc. (In the past, I have named event Aeroeagles: AE1, AE2, etc ... so I'm not very consistent LOL) And sometimes I'm just too lazy to do anything about it and it remains: PL###
Any idea how to get mystery parts which I've read about online? I've been doing events for nearly 2 months and yet to come across one. Do you find out if it was a mystery part after you've delivered it? Or do you have to deliver well over the set amount? Or are they just incredibly rare?
Mystery parts only show up in world events where the prize in a full plane. The last such event was London (end of july). They are bright yellow (gold), so very visible. Edit: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2365795&postcount=5677
I done it again. Moved everything into Washington D.C. as my only airport due to low coins and no good events. *cries*
Wow. How many planes do you have and what kind of planes did you use on this event? How do you Get that many bux and coins? I am happy with 825 loads with my sequoia-m's.
25 planes currently, mostly sequoia and aeros with a few cloudliners thrown in for good measure. Funny thing about bux and coins is how easy you can get them once you get past the mid 20 levels. I hope one day soon you will be back up and running to the point where we can compete at this insane level every time the job city is a C3! Yeah, when I went to sleep I was in 1st place by about 1500 jobs, but that has come back quite a bit. Here is the current top 10: 1 - 2,944 - (Me) 2 - 2,036 3 - 1,462 4 - 1,306 5 - 870 6 - 825 7 - 800 - (Coastcat) 8 - 700 9 - 586 10 - 541
