Lima-Easter Island (with non-upgraded Supergopher) is closer than Cuzco-Easter Island (with 3x upgraded Supergopher). I think maybe you were thinking of the next closest city from Easter Island: Santiago-Easter Island & a 1x fuel/range upgraded Supergopher. I'm waiting for Nokitano to wake up and shoot past us all.
Thank you Faye... Currently my class 1 is splitted because of last event layovers... Hehehe no matter I'll just enjoy this
Wait no longer! I had some major problems with my Ipad and had to reinstall PP. I am now back at level 1. Think this is the end of Pocket Planes for me.
Too bad mate You didn't have an iCloud save? or sync on itunes? Because your progress could be easy reinstalled this way.
Oh no! Laaaaaaaaame. You were the most challenging (and impossible) to compete with on the leader boards.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I guess you've already tried to restore from iCloud or iTunes computer backup? I liked trying to catch up to you on the Leaderboard. I'm sure many of us here will help you get back on your feet.
If this was already covered I apologize. Has anyone else caught the glitch regarding layovers in the system? I have found that in my class three airports, if you have a nonfull plane land at the location, you can unload all cargo and passengers, even if there is no layover room. For example, if you are at 57/60 in Chicago, and the sequoia is 9/10 full, you can drop them all off by loading a NONlayover passenger/cargo, and then doing an "unload all" by holding down the loaded passenger/cargo. Everything comes off with no warning and the layover count will show 65/60. Just in basic testing I have seen an airport go to 88/60 at one point.
Yep, it works well if you got at least one spare room in your plane. But you got to clean up the mess at one point or another if you wanna send full planes filled with layovers. Useful sometimes. I have seen high 80s too and I don't think there's a limit. Speaking of glitch, are you all aware of the enormous Facebook bug where you can see the private messages of your contacts in their timeline!?
What she said. I'd be happy to send along planes and parts - you're the Ferrari zooming down the highway that the rest of us are trying to keep up with! Yikes. So glad I barely use Facebook...
@vicsark, Slightlynorth, Faye Valentine & coastcat: thanks for your supportive words. Because I am a PP-addict, I decided to restart the game. I am now back at level 7 & just bought my first Kangaroo part I will be back on the leaderboard before you know it.
Fun Game and Helpful Forum I only started playing Pocket Planes a few weeks ago, which is also when I found this forum and started reading it. A little intimidating when there were 600+ pages of posts! I haven't read every single post, but I did go through the excellent tips from Pezmage, Xterminal, Vicsark, and several others that were compiled and linked to in one post, which I can't find right now even after searching and manually clicking through 100 pages. Forgive me for not giving you credit - if anyone knows of this post could you please post a link to it? I've learned a lot from you all and I appreciate this forum giving us a place to gather and talk about this very fun game. I finally registered today so that I could participate here instead of just reading. I love that there are these Global Events that we can all participate together in - what a fun way of bringing a social aspect to this game. It's both competitive and cooperative at the same time. The tutorial didn't really explain events and Flight Crews very well, so this feature was a big mystery to me for a little while. I'm at level 21 now but I didn't attempt an event until I was at level 8 or so, and I didn't even complete the minimum required for my first Global Event. After searching online and reading some of the posts here, I've finally figured out events. The other part of this game that I love is collecting airplanes! I enjoy collecting things in general, and I'm an aviation enthusiast, so Pocket Planes allows me to pretend I actually own all these cool planes. My goal is to collect the entire airpedia. Unfortunately I missed all the early events that gave out whole planes and mystery parts. After figuring out events I've done every single one of them, but that still only leaves me with 3 plane parts total for 2 different planes. If anyone has spare parts for rare planes, I would love to trade with you. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of rare parts, but I am willing to trade them as right now I don't have enough to build any of them anyways. I do have access to every class 1 and 2 plane, as well as Fogbusters, so I can trade you any of those. Matt GC: matma92ser
You are *STILL* ahead of me for this event, btw. In some ways I think it may be fun to start over from scratch and rebuild my airline. Hmmmm.
Eeeks!!! Did you see this displayed on your own Timeline? I'm sure you will! Do you have a preference for M or for P/C? Edited to add: Just wanted to figure out which flavor to send you. Let me know what would help. Can send you a full Cloudliner, which can be sold for nearly 30k coins to help fund a red city purchase. A question for everybody .... Which region did you start out in? ... and if you were to start over again, would you start in the same region or a different area? I started out in Europe near Paris. I think if I were to begin again, I would go to East Asia where there is a nice cluster of red cities.
I did that on my wife's ipad. very Fun at the beginning grinding a few hundred coins on class 1 airports and 5 min flights I sent her game a few blimps and kangaroos, then aeros. It did go way faster than for my game, knowing what to do and not having to buy planes and all. I didn't remember how scarce coins and Bux were in the beginning, now that I'm flooded with them. Her game is lvl 16 and already the fun is almost over (half a dozen class 3 airports plus Madrid instead of London to change a bit : La, Ny, Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Mumbai, Tokyo). I'm only playing it once a day at best. But I won't play it any more I guess, just for global events with rare parts of new planes, because it's already looking a lot like my own airline, just with Aeroeagles instead of Sequoias... U're welcome. If you need a few planes, tell me I'll send some. For the FB bug, no, but it's a huge news, altough it looks like they denied it was a bug. Huge psychosis here in France about that! I started as you in Europe the two times. Not sure East Asia would be very easy at the beginning when you don.t have coins and 50k is a big deal!
I'm probably one of the few who started in Australia, where the biggest city was Sydney with a population of 5M... and expanding north and northwest was a HUGE undertaking! Now I'm well established across the map at level 37, with nothing in the Oceania region, surprisingly... If you ever want to start over, give yourself a challenge and start in Australia.
I started in Australia, too. No Class 3 airports, some long distances over small populations, and you'll be pulling your hair out when Alice Springs or Broken Hill closes for a weather event! It was such a revelation to move into southeast Asia and its abundance of Class 2 & 3 airports. +1 to picking Australia as a starting-over point.
