Guys when you buy items, does it glitch out? I could have swear I bought a kangaroo M engine....and I think it turned into a kangaroo body.. now I have 2.. is anyone expieriencing this?
This. Playing on the iPad caused all my achievements to disappear (which won't happen with the new update) and I can't even regain them back! Just stick to one device when you're playing this game.
Layovers are such a pain when you have so many cities and planes... Not even sure if the bonus is worth it at this point.
so yeah this is my current layout and it's quite messy... btw: anyone figure out how to use birchcrafts effectively? They seem completely inferior to kangaroos outside of speed and distance (which is irrelevant if you have airports everywhere).
Hey all, I just got done looking thru most of the info and one thing I was not able to find was info on the individual events. For example, I tried on in Spokane and I only got 67/1000 before it ended. I am in another one in Oaxaca now. Has anyone ever completed one of these? Will my progress stay in Spokane until there is another event there? Thanks for any help. BTW, Jobs done 145, #155 in the crew total for Calgary.
I closed all of my Class 1 airports (except Calgary) when I upgraded half my fleet to Birchcrafts and other Class 2 planes. Just like real life, Chicago is the massive hub in my game; I usually have at least 15 of 20 layovers used. Once you move to bigger airports (Class 2 and 3), they have more jobs as well. I have airports in NYC and LA that keep the jobs flowing. Looking to expand to London once I get a plane that can cross the Atlantic.
Hmm. Well, if it's a huge hassle, maybe consider dedicating some time and money to clearing up your layovers. Then start anew, with an organization in mind.
Wow, I'm loving this game so far! Just joined the TouchArcade flight crew! Thanks Nimblebit for such a creative game again!
If you gift some one a part how long does it take to get to them? Never mind I found out, it's about 2 minutes.
Finally bought San Francisco, something tells me it was a big mistake. I don't know why, I just feel like it was. Now I'm broke (555 coins!)
I hope in a future update they move the freaking tweet button. Having it in the exact same place as the flight button has lead me to WAY to many mistaken presses. Minor irritation but an irritation nonetheless. I recently shut down most of my airports around Calgary and took St. Louis and New York to try experimenting with layovers. I'm gathering New York and St. Louis up in Phoenix, then carting them over to New York when I can get the bonus. I'm making around 1k per flight and it seems way more fun then the haphazard way I was playing earlier.
I agree with the TWEET button. They should make it so you can toggle it on/off, because I don't have a Twitter & don't plan on getting one. Plus, when I'm flying and trying to collect coins/bux and press the button, it lags and takes a while resulting in frustration!
Just a quick observation about this game in regards to Tiny Tower. I never really felt like I was doing anything active in Tower, I played it for six months straight, capped out my tower, 3 stars on each floor, about a week before Planes came out. I really enjoyed it but I never felt like I could do "bad" at it. You really couldn't possibly lose money. What I'm really enjoying about Pocket Planes is that I feel like I can do better if I put some thought and planning in. I can just randomly move planes from point A to point B and so long as I'm using the smaller planes I'll never lose money, but if I take it a step further and take a small hit moving people to a central location for longer flights, I feel like I can really start making more (plus it's way more fun). I think this is what I like best about the game right now. (Plus it's also awesome to be in on the ground floor on the first winning group, though I've been slipping rank since I started doing layovers, currenly #8)
I read somewhere, I can't remember if it was in this thread or not though, that the progress is per event not per location, and it's your total cumulative progress for that event, and will be added to next time the event happens.
