Since this a bux only event I've been spending some time trying to figure out the next global event location. For Nairobi I had narrowed it down to 52 cities. I think I have it down to 39 cities. Here's the list FWIW. I really enjoyed doing the 1000 job events, it broke up the routine of just running the same route everyday.
Don't mind me... I'll just be sneaking into the top 100... Carry on... All these bux only events are not good at all. And where's NimbleTim? Please tell me he's thinking of something good.
I think they're too busy updating apps for iOS 6 and moaning about app development. Their personal Twitter feeds are grating more and more..

Woo! But I think the counter for my Tiksi achievement is messed up, it got stuck at 64% and didn't budge even though I sent at least 50 more jobs there before giving up and closing the airport. If not Tiksi, then perhaps some other remote Class 1 in the wilds of Russia or Canada? Oooo - Iqaluit! Those were innocent days. Let's see... I never re-opened Nairobi, and have slid to #171. Can I resist going back? If we get a fun city for an individual event when the slate refreshes in a half hour, no. If there's nothing enticing, well...
Only 1161 jobs needed to enter the Top 10. I see some mysterious person trying to work their way up to #2. Wonder who that is. I haven't put any effort into those other events due to everyone else's complaints about the jobs not properly registering the achievements. I figure I'll wait til they iron out that wrinkle. Edited to add: Grumble grumble, I've got 3 planes grounded in Los Angeles. Darn thunderstorm.
Seoul and Shenyang were my Class 3 bases for shuttling jobs to Vladivostok, and Seoul has been shut down at least twice in the last six hours for 1-hour fog issues. Grrrr. Doing the golf tourney in Tokyo and medical conference in Yinchuan, and trying very hard to ignore Nairobi. No way I can make up ground for a top 10 spot, but I did go from #244 to #52 in a few hours for an earlier global event. What to do, what to do... Yeah, I'm re-opening Nairobi. Maybe.
Just snuck into the top 10 with 1,190, that may be it for this event though. How are you guys seeing who else is on the leaderboard with you?
I'm working on Easter Island at the moment, 4 Blimps going back n forth, nonstop. Got enough for the 50 bux on Nairobi, closed it yesterday I think.....
