Okay, so I sent more planes to Port Moresby every time I stopped for gas or coffee... but not enough to overtake Faye again! Ah, Mumbai. Luckily I already have Bangalore open as an experiment so I can shuttle jobs from there to Mumbai without interrupting the profit routes. There's also an individual event in Hyderabad, so off we go to India!
I've gotta get into the habit of using this multi-quote feature! I login everyday. The problem is that the game only shows 2 (sometimes 3) friends at a time, and the game randomly chooses. So your name doesn't always show up on my end. Very frustrating when it shows me someone I know has stopped playing. I'd rather send to someone who is playing and can benefit from the gem ... cuz those gems are a bitch to get! Thanks for mentioning the prize. Good to know. (I don't even bother looking at the prize, I just jump right into the event cuz there's really not much else for me to work on at level 40+) I'm peripatic too and check-in when I'm stopped. It's funny, sometimes I wish the red lights would take longer so I have time to do just one quick thing in PP (it usually takes a while for PP to fully load, then the light turns green again grrrr) I still have some profitable jobs to deliver to Port Moresby, I can get around 6,000 delivering 4 jobs from London. I have to go re-buy Mumbai (for the nth time)....

Might as well so long as you have a feeder plane to put in them. Although adding cities dilutes the job pool slightly, it doesn't make a huge difference with a feeder setup. I'd say only add it if you need it, so if you find you have not enough jobs at EA go ahead and add a airport and feeder plane. Only way I'm likely to see any of you guys on my list, I don't bother contending for the top 10! My personal quirk is wanting the plane status to change from "BOARDING" to "BORDED" or something similar in another colour (green perhaps, not sure how confusing it could be for people with planes filling and landing all the time; maybe solid white?) so that if I'm in a hurry or don't have long until a job refresh (or any of a million reasons) I can just click on the ones that aren't full rather than wasting time looking at 10/10 planes. Sometimes I cycle through them all looking for bux jobs, but if there's <1m to a refresh and I know half my planes are 10/10 and the other half are still 2/10 I want to only look at the half-empty ones, ya know?

Seriously. I hope NimbleBit is trying to think up something for this game... They just REALLY need to do the Concorde or Hercules. And, like TinyTower, let you choose out of all the events, which one you want to do for the 15 bux prize. You should get a time limit as all ways. New BitBook posts... even though some of us dont check it. (I know I dont.) Unique designs. Figured out that each plane, whether it be P, M or C has a specific pattern for all planes. So maybe the ability to switch that pattern to another plane regardless of classification of P, M or C. Blah, blah, blah...
My plane picked up Port Moresby jobs from London and dropped them off in Shanghai or Beijing. NOT the most optimal route. I'm not sure why I didn't just take them directly to Manilla, a more direct and obvious route. My Kangaroo would pick up from Manilla and head down to Port Moresby (via Cebu). Edited to add: Whoops, skipped a step. My Sequoias would pick up a bunch of jobs from Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul & Tokyo and dump them all down in Manilla. It really wasn't the best way to approach the problem, but then, I usually don't optimize my game plan.
I wound up using two Class 3 layovers, Jakarta and Manila. The Kangaroos ran the Jakarta-Darwin-Port Moresby route (with Katherine taking over for Darwin as needed), while my upgraded Mohawks ran a straight Manila-Port Moresby route. The Sequoias and Cyclones fed from a variety of Class 3's, no real rhyme or reason there. My poor Aeroeagles were tucked away in the hangar, forlorn and neglected for the event days.
Fighting for Top 5 This is gonna be rough. I only have 14 planes D: 10 Aeroeagles 1 fogbuster 2 sequoias and a kangaroo <3
What's your strategy? You could open a bunch of Class 3 cities within a 20-minute flight of Mumbai - and there are plenty to choose from - and make runs like crazy. The Kangaroo can run between Mumbai and Karachi in 6 minutes, which should bump your delivery numbers nicely.
I basically adapted my Sequoia plan and added mumbai as a third hub between my current two hubs (shanghai and rio). I bought Dehli, Karachi, and Bangalore. I have constant mumbai jobs coming in from shanghai and rio. Once in Mumbai, I just fill my planes up and send them back to 1 of the 2 hubs. If there aren't enough jobs to get the bonus or I have enough time to sit and shuttle mumbai jobs in from the surrounding cities, I just send the planes to the cities around mumbai then fill them up with mumbai jobs + jobs to the SA or East Asia. Sorry if this was a bit hard to follow #2 atm Probably won't last though Edit: I've actually tried your suggestion before with seoul. It is a very good method if you have a lot of time on your hands to play. I don't have excessive amounts of time during the day so whenever I wasn't checking PP, everything came to a grinding hault. I think this method will work better for me because when I'm busy, I can just send long range flights full of mumbai jobs, and when I have some time I can just grind mumbai jobs out of closer cities. As for the Kangaroo, I have it in East Asia collection Mumbai jobs for Shanghai so whenever a Plane lands there I can immediatly turn it around and send it back to Mumbai.
